Warwick previously discussed how filming the original movie at the tender age of 17 and the mental toll it took on him.

He said: 'The only reason I got through it before, for me, was down to Ron Howard the director and Val Kilmer [who played Madmartigan],' the actor said.

'Because between the both of them, they didn't let me feel the pressure of this.

'Nowadays, to head up and be the title character of a movie, I would feel the pressure of that. But at 17 I was just like, 'Well this is quite a laugh this.'
