The trailer starts with Nagarjuna's father taking a promise from him at a very young age to take her of her sister. 20 years later, the actor appears to be a powerful and skilled man fighting cold-blooded criminals to protect a young woman. The plot seemed to be heavily inspired by Taken, in which Liam Neeson plays a character with an exceptional set of skills who stops at nothing to find his daughter. In The Ghost, Nagarjuna is also extremely skilled and sets out on a mission to save his sister and her daughter when he learns their lives are in danger.

The film also stars Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran, Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma, Shrikanth Iyyangar, and Bilal Hossein among others. It is scheduled to release in theatres on October 5.

Prior to that, Nagarjuna will be seen on the screen in Brahmastra. The actor plays an archeologist in the film, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan and is scheduled for theatrical release on September 9.
