After fixing most Bugs and Issues, 9anime will finally publish their new Update.
Please test out the new features like watch2gether and more and let us know what you think about them.

bad gateway error (should sort itself out but you can fix it just by refreshing the site a couple times)✅ -
some anime from people's watchlist were removed (from what i read it were just anime that they had recently added to their watchlist, or just random anime in the "watching" folder specifically)

the a-z sorting in the filters seems to use only japanese names (so a anime that starts with a and one that starts with k can be next to each other if the japanese names both start with a)

redirect links from the old 9anime version to the new one (the old link for an anime or an specific episode should redirect to the one corresponding page on the new version.) (especially useful for people who kept bookmarks)

increase "animes per page" in watchlist. also, don't display them in a list but next to each other (like it was in the original update a week ago)

when you are on the last dubbed episode of an anime and there are more subbed episodes, when pressing next or autonext it'll start a subbed episode because dub isn't available. maybe add a clear indication that it's the las dubbed episode?

make the "watched episode" color in the episode list more different from the "unwatched color since it's hard to see for some people.

I didn't know there was a 9anime subreddit; I only found this because without the purple branding I was worried it was some fake site impersonating 9anime so I was looking for an explanation!
I personally don't mind, but they should allow us the option to go back to the original color scheme like with the light/dark switch on the previous version of the site.
And at least this layout change isn't as bad as DeviantArt Eclipse.
All episodes on mobile are broken. Plus the server keeps getting bad gateway. The site looks bad I know u want to make changes but this is not it. It looks bad that it makes other sites which are bad look better

We really need both versions, old and new, so we can test the new while having the old to fall back on. This is a standard web development practice. The transition from old to new needs to take place over a period of weeks/months, not immediate.
old design was so much better and gave a premium UI feeling....new one doesn't even come to close to the old design
Its why I chose 9anime to watch in in the first place because of the premium looking UI. now it looks like every other cheap site.

Well yeah so many things are wrong...9anime is my favourite websites out of well (even when kissanime use to exist) only because of that purple UI and other simplicity
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, the old logo and color scheme looked sexy, this just looks like shitty rejected social media site #74656. Generic and shitty and basically the embodiment of the problem with all modern logos

I really hate the new redesign, atleast add an option to switch back. Also where's purple color.
Yeah and a bunch of the elements on the screen are way bigger so there's way less useful information visible at the same time. And it really doesn't help that half of everything that used to work is broken now.
What I mainly don't like is the blue color, the logo - font is well, to "fancy" for me, the old one was simplistic, but better(my preference), also I hate the bugs.

Can you please bring back all the missing dub comments? The dub and sub comments aren't combined, the dub comments have been completely removed. A big portion of the community spent years on that, and it would be such a shame to lose it. Please find a way to bring them back.

can't open my watchlist and i cant add anime to my watchlist because my profile icon is grey
Shitty hard to use (and copied) UI which is grounds to drop the site (which only had its UI going for it in the first place).
For gods sake at the very least make it less wide. Just, put the episodes under the video like before. They're way easier to click there and makes me not have to turn my entire head just to look at them (the site is almost usable at 80% zoom, the text is just too small). Also, the background colour should be separate from the foreground colour like before (black background, grey foreground). This makes it possible to actually look at the UI without getting eyestrain. Also of course, bring back the old black, grey, & purple colour scheme. And the old logo for that matter. At least try to have some personality of your own
