Bobby and Athena just can’t catch a break. ABC on Thursday released the full trailer for 9-1-1 Season 7, which begins with the show’s main couple enjoying their belated honeymoon cruise… for about five minutes before everything goes to hell.
More specifically, Peter Krause and Angela Bassett’s characters have their celebratory trip turned upside down when a group of terrorists take over the boat, launching them into a full blown Poseidon Adventure.
While the 118 panics about Mom and Dad’s cruise going missing, Athena springs into action, standing up to the ship’s uninvited guests while also helping usher her fellow passengers to safety.
A sea-related crisis felt imminent from the final moments of the Season 6 finale, which ended with an ominous shot of Bobby and Athena boarding an enormous ship, and one cast member has been ready for action ever since.
“I think I’m possibly going to be getting into a wet suit sometime soon and having to go save Angela,” Oliver Stark told TVLine when the finale aired in May 2023. “Knowing how they cannot catch a break, I feel like there’s a strong possibility of that happening.” (A very strong possibility, as it turns out.)

The seventh season of 9-1-1 premieres Thursday, March 14 at 8/7c on ABC, leading into the Season 20 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy and the final-season premiere of Station 19.
New episodes will continue to air every Thursday in that time slot, then will be available to stream next-day on Hulu and VOD.
Heading into Season 7, 9-1-1‘s main cast includes Angela Bassett as Athena, Peter Krause as Bobby, Oliver Stark as Buck, Aisha Hinds as Hen, Kenneth Choi as Chimney, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie, Ryan Guzman as Eddie, Corinne Massiah as May and Gavin McHugh as Christopher.
Showrunner Tim Minear recently confirmed that Anirudh Pisharody will also return as Ravi.
During TVLine’s recent visit to 9-1-1‘s Los Angeles set, the cast shared a few interesting Season 7 spoilers, including promises of a “smooth” wedding for Maddie and Chimney; a new journey of “self-discovery” for Buck; and the return of several familiar faces from seasons past.
It’s not 9-1-1 unless someone on the team has to be a part of a disaster (even if it’s a complete cliche) especially in the first episode of the season 🤭

Don’t blame your lack of basic comprehension skills on Cameron. There’s literally a scene in Titanic where they both try to climb on the door together and it can’t stay afloat. It’s in the film. Buoyancy isn’t just a matter of enough space, it’s a matter of weight.

It’s the incredibly talented and charismatic cast. They manage to make the ridiculous writing compelling.
I‘m scared that Kristen Reidel now completey is going to sink the ship or show or both. I have zero trust in her as a showrunner and it looks like she still is on her way to ruin this show.
As long as she doesn’t try to change the tone of the show making it more serious, or making it less goofy how the people end up needing their help. Though from tthe promo it feels like they might just be doing that

Good lord! Can’t Bobby and Athena go somewhere without their trip getting ruined by one drama or another? I’d be almost afraid to go on vacation with them knowing something would happen during the trip.
About that poster, is that possible to be at those angles with the water level in the boat vs out… because of gravity, the water and city should be at the same level ?
Can’t wait….. 911 is my favorite show great actors and we can all enjoy the excitement and danger at no risk right in our living rooms

Great show love Athena and Bobby and Maddie and chimney. They all have great chemistry the storylines is great and enjoy watching Bobby and Athena, make out. hope to see less and less of Oliver, (Buck), taking center stage on the show he is the worst actor on the show the kids are better actors than he is. Please, if Bobby is the captain, let him be captain without all the backlash, when he gave them orders especially from no acting Oliver Stark!!!!!!

Well I feel like the show kind of had acnod to those fans when Buck couldn’t find couldn’t find a new couch & Eddie said something about he couldn’t find the right fit.
I hope the network change for 9-1-1 doesn’t mean a closed-captioning vendor change for that series as well (just like when American Dad! also switched from WGBH Media Access Group to VITAC when it moved from FOX to TBS).
Love this show watching it now. The new season long overdue. Love all characters but Angela Bassett is my favorite she is such a awesome actress, every role she play she give it 💯. Thank you ABC for picking it up.

… This may just win as the dumbest situation they’ve written in yet. A few armed terrorists take over the entirety of a cruise ship the size of a couple of city blocks with thousands of people on board— and somehow capsize it?
No one knows where the cruise ship is? Hen is the only one that realizes it’s missing? The captain didn’t send out a distress call with their coordinates the second the incident arose, even though the command center is at the center of the ship and he or she absolutely would have seen those boats approaching?
I’ve always watched for the characters and laughed at the bad writing… but this is next level.
Here they go again with a rebooted plot from a movie that not enough people watched for it to make a difference🙄. Why can’t Tim write good stories for the 118 instead of these copycat movie stories? Is the 118 the only firehouse in Los Angeles? Also can they please focus on the main cast instead of bringing all the rando characters into the mix? No one cares about Tommy Kinnard or Marisol so leave those characters where your found them in previous seasons and focus on the main cast like Eddie. He should be focusing on himself instead of dating some chick who likes her own blood brother. It’s pathetic writing and it’s not interesting. Maddie and Chimney deserve a hassle free wedding and Bobby and Athena should have a hassle free cruise. This show has gone down hill and is predictably boring.

I clicked on the ‘tweet’ to see the *9-1-1 Puts Bobby and Athena on Death’s Door in Full Season 7 Trailer* and there are other articles/titles as well (What Can We Expect in 9-1-1 Season 7?; When Does 9-1-1 Season 7 Premiere on ABC?; Which 9-1-1 Cast Members Are Returning for Season 7? and a couple more) and the comments dating back to December.
