Really a terrific day off from the Marco Island beaches. Amazing shelling, plenty of room to spread out, plenty of beaches to walk and enjoy. Take the Hemingway Shuttle for an optimum visit.

I have been shelling before with Sand Dollar Shelling, but never on Keewaydin Island before this trip. There was a huge expanse of wide open beach with tons of shells. Captain Paul was a wonderful captain and host, and I would highly recommend Sand Dollar Shelling. Make sure you book a trip where Captain Paul is running the trip!

First thing this morning Captain Paul of Sand Dollar Shelling took my husband and me shelling. What an incredible experience! We went to Keewaydin Island near Naples, Florida. Paul told us exactly what to do to have the best chance of locating “good” shells. We could not believe all the beautiful shells we found. We were ready to leave before our allotted time was up so Paul took us on a tour of homes on the way back. We also were fortunate enough to see a number of dolphins! Captain Paul spent time telling us about them and their behavior. Bald eagles and osprey were also pointed out to us. We enthusiastically recommend Captain Paul and Sand Dollar Shelling.

This island is a lot of fun. You can only get here on a boat. Very fun experience to hang out, have some cocktails, relax, and chill with friends. in the busy season, they have food and an ice cream boat. It can get busy during the season so plan ahead. You should know how to drive a boat on the ocean and be familiar with tides, especially low tides so you don't get stuck. This didn't happen to me but I've seen people stuck because they drink too much and not pay attention to the time while boating. Just a tip!
