We decided to take a trip not far from where we live as we have been working non stop and found this place on Priceline. I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. We booked a one bed room villa which has everything you need. Fireplace, full kitchen with oven, microwave, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer, sofa to sleep 2 more people, king size bed, jacuzzi tub. The hotel does not have a restaurant however there is enough place around that are waking distance and you can also use your room to have a nice meal. The hotel has a kids club, beautiful outdoor swimming pool, large green outdoor with grills and a small mini golf. The hotel is planning to have tree houses, outdoor movie and add an indoor swimming pool. The downfall of this hotel is the service. We called the day before to see if our room will be available and the lady we talked to was a little bit on the rush on the phone and told me to call back one hour before we check in to find out. Did not ask for my reservation name to at least put a note or anything. We called back the next day one hour prior and told us the room will be ready with no problem. We arrived at the hotel and the room was not ready, poor customer service! We finally got our key and again could not say more about the room. Another issue we had is that we were woken up by the employee on Sunday morning. Our room was facing the employee entrance and few employees were gathered outside and were very loud so I called the front desk and the lady I talked to Jennifer did not even apologize, she just said that she will call down. Last thing that I wanted to mention is the check out. We requested a late check out and I understand with a busy memorial week end, it can be tricky however I did offer to pay extra and when the front desk called me which again was Jennifer she told me that she had to charge me for an additional night to check out at 3pm because they do not have any housekeeper past that time which is ridiculous as we saw many housekeepers in the hallway, still cleaning room when we left at 3pm. We did pay for the extra night however being in the business I would have been more considerate especially when we could still be selling that room. Overall great product but very poor service

The room was clean but small as a solo traveler it was fine. Located about a mile from the historic area right in the middle of William and Mary College campus. The hotel personal was friendly and helpful. There was no on-premises restaurant but there were a few within a short walking distance. Unfortunately, no place for breakfast except for Dunkin’ Donuts. As for the room, my issues were just two. First there was no seating except for two chairs at a table. The bathroom fixtures needed to be properly installed. The shower head was leaking and needed to be tighten; also, the sink faucet was not tight.

Our AC broke so this was a lost minute weekend trip so that we and our dog cour stay cool. We requested and were granted a late checkout (noon) but were never able to take advantage of it. The cleaning staff kept knocking on the door and at 11:20 the front desk called us and told us we had to leave. So we got our. I will stay elsewhere in the future.

Our team always strives to maintain fantastic service for our guests, and the fact that we were unable to provide you with the superior hospitality we aim for is disheartening. Rest assured, maintenance is looking into the issue you encountered with the AC, and we have discussed your concerns with our team to ensure we are providing our best hospitality. We hope for another chance to impress you the next time your travels bring you to town.

Loved this place! Everything was perfect accept it could have been helpful to have 6 place settings. They gave us 4 and it sleeps 4. But it caused us to over use the dishwasher and hand wash a lot. And if would be great if they added a cookie sheet.

We needed a place that would accommodate a dog on this return trip to Williamsburg (we have a student at W&M.) This hotel looked nice and was convenient to campus so we gave it a try. It was perfect! The room, cottage-style, was very large. It was clean with plenty of space and two king-sized beds! Ample parking right outside and the staff was kind and accommodating. We didn't have time to use the many facilities (pools, mini-golf, lecture series, etc.) but would like to on a return visit. There is a hefty fee to accommodate the pets but we were aware of it in advance. It was very nice for what we needed. Not "luxurious" but fine. And we will definitely be back!

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and the property well maintained. The pool area was relaxing and a great way to cool off and relax after a long hot day of traveling. We had a delay in checking in and the staff was very apologetic and even discounted our room. There were grills available for use, a mini golf course that was small, but would be fun for small children, a horseshoe pit, and a beach volleyball area. The beds and bedding was very comfortable. There is o breakfast, but a dunkin donuts across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

We just spent a 4 day trip here. The two pools were fantastic. Our room was close to the smaller pool and it was great because it wasn’t crowded like the big pool. Staff was attentive and rooms are great for the price. It’s not a upscale resort but met all of our needs. Plus it’s close to Colonial Williamsburg and there are some good restaurants close by.

We stay in Williamsburg often, but usually at our timeshare. Our timeshare was booked so we tried Westgate for the evening and it was more than you can see from the street! It’s a wonderful family or romantic couples resort! They have 2 pools, putt-putt and a large amount of activities for guest! They even do bike/kayak and movie rentals. You can walk to almost every attraction and dinning option in town. I highly recommend trying this out. With hotels.com we got a low rate for the night, so I was expecting a single traditional room- but they gave us this amazingly cute cottage towards the back of the property. It was very romantic and unexpected- there is room for large vehicle parking and they also allow pets for an additional cleaning fee. Would recommend for a week or longer stay.

First, I am a Westgate owner. I tried to get availability using my owner’s benefit and was told that they did not have any. So we were forced to rent at the hotel option. Upon arrival, we were met with the usual sales routine, when all we wanted to do was get settled. They gave us our key and a map the took us to some single room buildings kind of off property. When we got to our room, first thing we noticed was that the door was open, not unlocked, but open. We went into the unit and it smelled like moth balls or some type of cleaning agent that was obviously trying to mask some underlying smell. I checked the only window and it could not be locked because the window wouldn’t go down far enough to engage the lock. We went back to the office to complain and the clerk that checked us in, wouldn’t even come to see what was wrong. Another clerk did and was very accommodating in placing us in another room on the property. They gave us another room in building 2, 1st floor, which was better but not by much. The rooms are dated and the AC made a very loud sound while running which woke me up a few times during the night. The iron had a sharp piece on the front which snagged our clothes when we ironed. We were about to eat when a cricket came from under the cabinet out into the middle of the kitchen floor. When we bought at Westgate, they sold us a user experience that we looked forward to getting, but this property failed to deliver what we were promised. And even though we are owners, they charged us for the very thing they talked badly about in their sales presentation, the”bed in a box” room with a bed and a bathroom. The room had an old school coffee maker that did not work. The property is claiming to be scheduled for renovations, but when we bought 2 years ago, they had signage that said the same thing and nothing has changed. It’s still the same old overrated, overpriced, dismal embarrassment to the Westgate brand. I was told that someone would reach out to me during my stay, but they didn’t. This was a horrible guest experience, not reflective of what I am accustomed to with Westgate. I will NEVER stay here again and would advise you to take your business elsewhere!

We traveled with a family of six - two teens and twin 9mo olds. I’m the type that travels with my vacuum, mop and cleaners because hotels aren’t cleaned well usually. To my surprise upon arriving to our suite it was cleaned well so I didn’t spend the first day cleaning just a quick touch up did the trick,

Check in was easy and staff were helpful.

I somehow missed the outdoor pool was heated before arrival so that was a nice perk and the kids enjoyed it.

Washer and dryer in the suite was great.

I had enough dishes to cook meals and the pots and pans were in good condition.

We lost power while we were there and they handled it with ease, and kept you updated through text message. (Wind?)

Parking was fine- no issues.

Before our trip I read many reviews that had me worried and we had not one issue. Many reviews say the rooms are outdated.. we stayed in a governors suite and felt like it was fine it is a historic hotel but it wasn’t out of date or poorly decorated.

We would stay here again in the future for sure!
