A touching slice of life, thoughtful, wholesome, real

Five Pilgrims is a great character study piece that takes you along on a journey exploring the soul, spirituality, and love. The maze of relationships between all the characters of the movie, portrayed or not, is fascinating and a testament to the skills of the writer. It leaves you wishing you could have been invited to that weekend!

Same ole, same ole

This story has been told so many times. 5 friends get together in a country home in the woods. There will be the great outdoors, games, drinking, sex, confrontations and confessions. And so what else is new? Acting is good = 1 star. Scenery is good = 1 star.

Intimate portrayal of long friendships in times of change
Verified purchase
This brought up a lot of nostalgia for the friendships we have as younger adults - high school, college - and the level of intimacy shared in those moments as you grow up with those same friends. I could picture myself with the friends I have known for 30 years in that same cabin in the woods and wonder what would unfold. What tiny boxes have we gotten ourselves in to? and that actor who played Connor - what a stunner!!

Well made indie drama
Verified purchase
The film is a well-acted multi-character drama grounded in realism. The production value is strong-the natural landscape surrounding the cabin location where the story takes place, has both a commanding presence and gives the character space to breathe or connect in ways that add to the story. Overall, it is a high quality indie drama.

A gorgeous, sweet, poignant morsel that left me feeling sweet and poignant.

Beautiful actors acting beautifully, beautifully directed in a beautiful setting. I am an especially great fan of Nick Soper's work. In casting his eyes aside he can speak volumes.
