My father, sister & I went to the Chequers or lunch.
Ambient surroundings & lots of people seated and already eating.
We ordered off the Greene King App which was easy to do.
We were served by a man who was friendly & professional and very attentive.
I later asked if he was the manager and he confirmed he was. He did not stop the whole time, serving guests & clearing tables and cleaning them.
What a brilliant example to his staff.
Two of us had the Mix it Up Steak and the other had lasagne with chips.
The food came very quickly and was piping hot. We all enjoyed it.
When ordering drinks on the app we had asked for ice in 2 drinks but there wasn’t ice in any of them.
I did ask the manager if we could get some and he brought it straightaway.
We were all pretty full after eating but we all managed a child’s portion of apple crumble & custard which was delicious.
A very enjoyable visit and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.

I attended for lunch on Thursday and had perfect service from Ange on the bar, and Callum who served our food was very impressed all four of us enjoyed the food we will be back

We had a table booked the food was excellent, service was extremely good and efficient

First time visiting the chequers in houghton regis last night, was pleasantly surprised. Ordered food and drinks at the bar and was served by a really lovely lady called Ange. Double checked our order before putting it through was very thorough. Very polite and helpful service received by Ange - thank you! Always nice having someone who is happy and bubbly when being served, couldn’t of done enough. Will defiantly be back again!

Fast service, food was good. Used the app to order and staff were very efficient. Gracie checked our food was ok more than once and that we had everything we wanted.
