Do we have a preferred source for replacement door speakers? I'd like plug n play as much as possible, higher quality of course cuz 32_years later, and reasonably priced.
It's a roadster so high $$$, high end, speakers are a waste IMHO. However, being able to hear the Merry Clayton 's background vocals in Gimmie Shelter as well as the bass in Dazed and Confused while driving down city streets at 35-45mph would be nice. Oh, headunit is OEM with Jeff Anderson "repairs". B |

The Clearwater and 3rd Millennium speakers are generally considered to be decent, and P&P.

I have the JA HU special in my SBY along with the M800 door speakers from 3rd Millennium.
True plug and play and Glenn (owner IIRC) with 3rd Millennium is an all around good guy with top notch customer service. He also offers PNP headrest speakers if you have those. I can listen (and understand) music and talk on my system at 70+ MPH on the 101 with nary a problem. Good luck Bob, Eddie

Also did 3rd Millennium for the doors (and clearwaters for the headrests) in a Jeff Anderson updated head unit. Happy with the sound.

I personally went the route of refoaming the old speakers. The only thing wrong with my speakers was that the foam surrounds had rotted, so why not fix and use what was already there?

I put Clearwater speakers in the doors and headrests of my 91. I also had Jeff rework the radio. It sounds great now

I was able to add the NA door speakers to my cart; didn't try to check out.

Recently bought the 3rd Millennium speakers because Clearwater discontinued production. The 3rd Millennium speakers fit like OEM and sound great, well worth the low price.

The PO of my 90 NA chose to buy new Mazda OEM door speakers. For what they are, they are crazy overpriced, but he wanted originality, no matter what.
For what they are, they sound surprisingly good. And, of course, they fit just like they are supposed to.
