The COVID-19 outbreak was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020.

COVID-19 continues to spread globally impacting millions of lives, healthcare systems, and the global economy. Multiple new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus have emerged as the virus mutates over time The symptoms of the illness associated with this novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus are similar to those caused by influenza and other respiratory illnesses and include coughing, shortness of breath, fever, and difficulty breathing. The WHO and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended airborne precautions for healthcare workers for certain interactions with patients with suspected or known cases of COVID-19. It is recommended to consult the latest guidance from applicable health and safety authorities for the most update to date information.

3M Respirators in International Packaging Made Available in US during COVID-19

On June 30, 2021, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the revocation of the Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) for non-NIOSH approved respirators from China and other countries outside the US due to multiple factors including the increase in availability of NIOSH approved respirators.  This revocation is effective July 6, 2021, and affects the emergency use authorization of such respirators by healthcare personnel in healthcare settings. We are in the process of reviewing and updating our materials accordingly. Additional information is available on the FDA website
