Nestled in a prime, yet serene spot close to key attractions, The Westminster London, Curio Collection by Hilton is lauded for its spotless rooms and well-kept facilities, though the occasional housekeeping hiccup is noted. Although the rooms are snug and uniquely styled—which attracts mixed opinions on their design and maintenance—many guests appreciate the modern touches and cleanliness. The hotel's staff garners compliments for their exceptional service, contributing to the property's modern and stylish vibe. However, opinions on value vary, with some guests questioning the room rates in relation to the services offered.

I booked this hotel last minute (evening before) before we flew from Switzerland to London. BEST decision ever!! The rate for our QUEEN PREMIUM was very reasonable.

We arrived 3 hours late as our flight was delayed , additionally since it was a friday evening, the taxi ride took a looooong time and we were very tired. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted EXTREMELY warm, genuine and friendly, as well as professional by Brian Powell, Angelica Halili and Vijay. Check in completed by a very friendly VIJAY (who had only been at the hotels reception for one month) but did a great job. Brian offered me a mulled wine since it was xmas and my daugher was offered a water. We totally appreciated this welcome as we were very tired.
We were given 2 bottles of complimentary water and went to our room. The room was perfect and we were very happy with it. Super clean, spacious enough and quiet. Also a nice view. Room had all amenities such as an expresso coffee machine with a few coffee capsules, a hot water boiler plus some Nescafe coffee sachets and sugar and tea bags. There was also a little fridge big enough to keep some small drinks/juice in it. During our stay, we heard no noise from any neighbouring rooms as the walls were thick enough.

Water (still and bubbly) was replenished every day as well as the coffee and tea bags.
That first evening we went out to get some food for my daughter and when asked, we got the information we needed and went on our way.
Upon our return, (with a pizza) we or I was offered a mulled wine once again which was much appreciated as it was freezing outsid. Brian had a little chat with my daughter and made her laugh. Interaction brilliant.
This throughout our whole stay. Don also made my daugher feel very special by treating her like a princess, he gave her one pound and told her to buy herself some chocolate just before we went out shopping at Westfield shopping center. every wish she had. Brian went out of his way to have some sausage rolls bought by us at a close by Sainsbury, microwaved in the hotel kitchen !!!! My daugher was over the moon, wanted more and Brian and co.were very happy to oblige!! wow!!!

We were due to leave on sunday evening from Gatwick. Our flight was cancelled and we only found out when we got to the airport.
After nearly 2 hours of not getting any helpful information, we went back to the hotel since ALL close by hotels were all booked out due to hundreds of passengers being stranded. Since my mobile phone was not working (for phone calls only) I had contact with Nimesh via WHATS APP to help me out during our stay.
I contacted Nimesh from the airport via WHATS APP to ask if there are any rooms for available. he contacted the hotel and when we arrived, Vijay had received the message from Nimesh and they organised a room for us. We were exhausted but very happy , especially since we were given an upgrade!!!! Thank you for looking ater us so well.

Any questions we had , if Brian, Angelia, Vijay, Isabella, Viviana, Nimesh or Don did not know, they asked eachother of looked it up for us!!

Each one of the above mentioned people took a genuine interest in people, not just as, and went above expectations to ensure our happyness.

The team is dedicated, you can tell they love their job, they are ALL genuine, happy, diligent and professional. I can not praise them ALL enough.

It is the professional attitude of such people that make this Hilton Hotel such a success.
I would like to thank each one of the above mentioned again for having made or stay so wonderful.

Next time we will return with my husband and son and we so look forward to it.

All of you which I mentioned: CARRY on , you can be so proud of yourselves, it is YOU that make the difference!!
Thank you for everything. Have a wonderful Xma and stay healthy. Until next time. Pamela and Nina (Sausage roll girl :)

The hotel room was immaculate -
I have to admit I was worried with two other reviews stating that there was cobwebs and this put myself and my partner on high alert, but there wasn’t a spec of dust in sight. The room was lovely to stay in, the only exception being the bed isn’t attached to the headboard, so scooted away from it on multiple occasions especially when getting in and out.
The staff were the usual mix of cheerful and helpfulness that you expect from a Hilton and could not have done more to help our stay. They seemed to be coping well with the current COVID restrictions and the fact that we were reassured in the tiny things like a seal on the door and TV remote was appreciated.
If you’re looking for a stay in Westminister this is the perfect location being close to both Pimlico tube station and Millbank Pier, there’s everything you could need nearby with a Pret, pub and corner shop five minutes away.
Could not recommend this hotel more and it’s definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed in London.

We stayed at the Westminster with Hilton Honors points, and booked it based on both price and location. The hotel is on John Islop street, about a block from the Lambeth Bridge over the Thames, and less than a mile walk from Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and several other major London attractions. It is about a 12 minute walk to either the Victoria or Westminster Underground stations, and there are also several bus lines with stops very near the hotel.

The street where the hotel is located isn't a very touristy area, and so there aren't a lot of restaurants and shops right in the immediate vicinity, but you are not very far from places like Trafalgar Square and the South Bank (by the London Eye) where there are restaurants and shops galore. Another bonus is that there is a very nice little laundromat less than 0.5 mile walk from the hotel, which is very convenient if you're on a long trip like we were and needed to do some wash.

The hotel is actually right across the street from Britain's MI5 building, which houses the domestic "secret service." So it seemed like most of the guests at the hotel were businessmen in suits there on some sort of official business.

That said, the hotel is on a very quiet street, and it was very easy to get to where we wanted to go from this as our home base.

We stayed in a King room, which was quite spacious, and which had a very nice bathroom, with a separate toilet room and a large walk-in rain shower. The room also included a mini-fridge and a decent-sized closet.

I'd say the best part of the hotel was the daily breakfast, served in the hotel's main restaurant on the first floor. The buffet included poached or scrambled eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, porridge (oatmeal), fresh fruit (grapefruit, oranges, melon), cheeses, meats, croissants, pain au chocolat, rolls, yogurt, and fruit juices. Everything was really good and ensured we had a great start to the day.

The customer service was also excellent. The front desk staff and concierge were very accommodating, especially when we needed to ensure that taxi was waiting for us at 5:30 a.m. the day we had to leave for the airport.

The room was modern, immaculately clean, and very comfortable in all aspects.

I would highly recommend this hotel for any short or extended trip to London.

I intended on surprising my partner to a 'stress-free' romantic stay here for our anniversary celebration after a faultless previous experience at another Hilton Hotel but I guess that was my first mistake.

I am not one to complain but it seemed as though we were set up for a comedy sketch. Our overall experience was nothing but a nightmare!

Despite the gracious treatment from the receptionist at check-in & the mini treats they provided, the rest of our stay was a constant battle of trying to enjoy the little time under 24 hours we had left.

Once we had settled in, I of course wanted to pour us some champagne but the glasses in the room were covered in dirt. After numerous attempts of trying to contact reception, they finally responded and brought us slightly cleaner glasses.

We tried to remain positive and went out for lunch but once we returned and had a proper look around the room we were shocked and appalled at its conditions. The missing bathrobes, slippers & dental kits were an inconvenience we had agreed to bypass. The bed, on the other hand, was completely stained and looked as if it had been left unchanged from multiple previous visitors.

We immediately contacted reception, who again after many attempts, responded & reassured us that they were finding a new, clean room. We were told they would contact us back when this was sorted and like fools waited in our room for ages with no call back.

Once we went to the main reception, the staff at the desk didn't seem too concerned and again stated they were looking for a room. After approximately 20 minutes of waiting, the manager kindly approached & explained we were being provided with a 'complimentary upgrade' to a new room & breakfast in the morning. Perhaps the slightly bigger window and now present bathrobes were meant to restore our mood.

We requested new towels which we never actually received and were not even mentioned by any staff at check-out...

We contacted them from our room on multiple occasions being told we would be provided with them. Obviously then visited them at the front desk after waiting an irritable amount of time to then be told we could only receive them whilst in our room??

So not only did we then manage to try pick at their breakfast (which should be complimentary for all guests regarding its quality), have over an hours nap and actually check out without any towels being delivered, we left literally laughing at our own disposal, completely drained and shocked at how awful our weekend was and how they managed it all.

As a travel agent myself (which was known by reception staff) I expected a tad more concern and effort from their team in trying to make our stay enjoyable and honestly feel terrible for my partner in having to put up with my awful mood for our once celebratory weekend!

My husband and I were traveling with friends. We stayed in this location numerous times before because it’s an easy walk to attractions and it’s a quiet area. The hotel has changed brands since we last stayed. We found that the hotel has been updated and is very clean and contemporary. The room we had was a bit unique for us. The entrance to the room is through the bathroom area, there is a sink and closet as you enter with separate doors to a shower and wc. All very modern in style. A few more hooks for towels would have been helpful. A luggage rack or additional place for a second piece of luggage would have been a bonus. That said, all was clean.
The room itself was on the small side, but the comfortable king bed was what we appreciated most. The biggest challenge were the lights. Lots of options. It took me 2 nights to figure out that the switches next to the bed turn on the wc light. Several main switches turn on either all the lights or secondary lighting.

I must say that the staff was friendly and very helpful. We were greeted by Don, who took great care of us during our stay. The concierge and front desk were helpful in arranging taxis and advising us, we were there when the Queen passed, so logistics were a bit challenging.

I cannot comment on the breakfast because we didn't take advantage.

A comfortable stay.

We stayed at the The Westminster London, Curio by Hilton for the weekend starting on the 21 August. This is a modern hotel rebranded from the the Doubletree Westminster.
The hotel has been completely renovated and looks and feels new. The entrance is modern, clean and welcoming. Reception staff were polite and friendly and the reception area is impressive.
We booked a Premium Queen double and our room was on the 10th floor. The corridors leading to the rooms are quite dark with low ceilings and heavy fire doors that were sometimes closed. Our room was maybe on the small size and could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Too many tiny particles on the floor to give real confidence that a really good clean and vacuum had been done.
The open plan wash basin area may not suit everyone and the WC and shower were separate units.
We were expecting to have slippers and robe in our room as per the description but these were not present. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well.
Breakfast wa included in our room rate and it was very good. The items were of good quality and plentiful. On the second morning the food could have been hotter.
We used the STK restaurant on the Saturday evening. The restaurant was very good and felt like restaurant, cocktail lounge, bar all in one.
The food was excellent and and we both enjoyed the fun ambiance of the restaurant.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Westminster, Curio by Hilton and will definitely use the hotel again when we stay in London

I really like the fancy high end layout and design often King deluxe room of the hotel. Great breakfast at STK Steakhouse is complimentary for Gold Hilton members and up and walking distance to Westminster Abbey, The Big Ben & the MI-5 building.

The Room:
The designer did a meticulous job of making sure the entire space was properly utilized by the traveler. The climate control is modern and quiet.

Walking in there is a sink at entry and the shower and toilet each have their own room. This seemed to be intended to best utilize space & mobility around the unit without having to make the rooms smaller. It works.

The impressive part of the layout was when you open the closet there’s a little slant so your entire suitcase can fit in without having to lift it which was great for me bc my suitcase was heavy and I’m petite. additionally there were plenty of drawers for my clothes and hanger and I was able to store all my luggage. The recessed desk and espresso machine was also a nice touch and I plan to renovate my room at home to do a similar design. It was a Great, classy use of space.

The area: This is the DC area of London.

Staff:
Nimesh Mutha checked me in and was very helpful.

Only suggestion I’d make is a few times I’ve called the front desk, no one answered.

Location Location Location - tucked away so you’re not in a very busy place but close enough when you want to be. Special shout out to Don the Bellman & Connor the Concierge, I had a bunch of last minute requests & they understood the assignment. Thank you both for the rec “The White Swan” nearby. I ate at STK 6 times, 3 for breakfast, once for happy hour at the bar, their Sunday roast & dinner. I’ve frequented STK in LA & Vegas, but really enjoyed their breakfast buffet in the mornings and felt that it was a great value for what my family & I paid for. All the other meals were out of just sheer convenience since I was traveling with a jet lagged toddler. The bartender on my first afternoon there at STK gave me some great suggestions around town and even told me that there was a Skatepark under the London Bridge that I should check out. The room was adequate for two adults and a toddler, but the biggest gripe that I had was that the ability to stream from my phone to the in room tv was non existent without an HDMI cable. With a jet lagged toddler, you want the accessibility to throw on his Youtube channels on the TV with ease. I loved the bedside power ports and never had to use a UK / US power adaptor my entire trip. I loved that I could swing by the front desk and ask for complimentary bottles of water anytime. A majority of the guests that I came across were also US based. When I checked in there wasn’t a robe or slippers in the closet, so called Housekeeping to request them. There was an Engineer who my family interacted with when we thought that we had an issue with our bathroom sink (there was no issue, I just didn’t know you had to press the drain cover to let it drain), a Filipino man who was very friendly and awesome. I loved the bathroom layout in particular that had the ability to separate the shower from the toilet and separation from the bathroom sink as well. If I choose to stay in the area again on my return I will definitely be back!

Spent two nights here over bank holiday weekend. The hotel is conveniently situated walking distance to major sights of Westminster.
Good points..
Room was immaculately clean.Bed very comfortable.Staff courteous and helpful.Shower excellent.
Bad points…
Room was laid out quite differently to expected.Bed area quite small which leads into a strange set up of sink area .
The toilet and shower are in a cubicle each and extremely dimly lit to the point of being dark. The corridors to our room were also dimly lit. There is no kettle just a coffee machine which can give hot water if needed. The reception on t.v is poor at times.
The hotel has a restaurant which we ate at first night.Expensive for what it is .Our meal came to £183 for two.Service from our waiter was excellent however it was quite rushed through. The restaurant has a bar attached which is obviously the locals night life, numerous groups of young groups who had booths in bar area.My husband and I felt completely misplaced being in our fifties!! The STK restaurant and bar is almost certainly for young people ,very modern and perfect if you are 20.
There is no other bar area or seating to sit and relax with a coffee or glass of wine.I felt the hotel website does not convey this.
On our return on Sunday after a day out the restaurant obviously had some sort of function as there was pounding music coming from there as we went to our room.
Breakfast was average and again in the STK restaurant so felt like I was having breakfast in a nightclub.
This hotel is perfect probably if you are young but for a couple in our fifties it was disappointing and not how we imagined at all.Wouldn’t stay here again.

Our first visit to London from Canada and we decided to stay here for a week. Loved it. The location is close to everything we needed to see. 15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace, 10 minutes to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the O . The hotel itself is a few minutes from the Thames and we crossed over the many bridges often on our walks.

The hotel is also on a quiet street.

James Bond fans will love to know that Mi6 is a 10 minute walk away.

We were always treated very well by the staff from check in to check out. We did have a problem with hot water in our shower for two days and we were immediately moved to an upgraded room on a higher floor. Artur (not sure of spelling) was very good at helping us out. Malcolm was also great on getting something printed for us even when it was busy. The shower is great with strong pressure and a rainfall feature as well as a hand held option. Two showers a day was a welcome relief after a long day touring.

Breakfast is offered by the hotel on the first floor for 15 pounds for hotel guests 22 pounds without pre booking and it was a good deal considering a coffee in nearby restaurants alone is over 5 pounds. Osten greeted us most days and he is a friendly and personable person. We also can see how well he relates to other guests who arrive for breakfast. He even gave us a tour of the one lane bowling alley on the same floor which you can rent for 25 pounds an hour. Overall great experience at the hotel for breakfast which set us well on our day’s adventures.

During our week stay, they installed a water filling station near our elevator on the 11th floor.

Proximity to many sites was a big plus for us coming from Canada for the first time. Trafalgar Square and a restaurant district is only about a 20 minute walk along the Thames.

We also took the Tube to Tower Of London for a days visit with some guidance from the concierge. Once there we crossed Tower Bridge to Borough market across the bridge then to Shakespeares Globe theatre before crossing the bridge at Blackfriares to get on subway back to Westminster and a 10 minute walk to hotel.

A few of our day tours left from Victoria station which is about a 20 to 25 minute walk from hotel which was convenient.

Highly recommend this hotel for your London stay.

I don't work for the hotel but travel to and from London often. Because the Westminster London is not close to an Underground station, I recommend you book a licensed black cab in advance. There are several websites, and you can pay a flat rate rather than a metered rate. It is likely the hotel can suggest some companies. I do not recommend a mini-cab company as they are not always licensed. I also highly recommend that you plan to arrive much earlier than 5 AM. The airline's suggestion to be at Heathrow at least four hours in advance of your flight is often a very good idea, especially as the airport is extremely busy with early morning flights. The ride to the airport from Westminster will probably take an hour or more, depending on traffic. If it were me, I would be leaving the hotel by 3 AM. I hope this information helps. Enjoy your journey!

20 to 30 pounds, you can add it when you check in. The omlets are amazing but sometimes a wait. Earlier is better between 8-9 am
