The John Deere 2040S was built from 1981-87 in the John Deere Mannhiem, Germany factory. The tractors are fitted with a French built 67 hp (50 kW) JD engine.

Options / variationsEdit


These models are relatively modern looking with the panoramic cab but at 25 years old are now starting to be collected by people looking for a 'Hobby' tractor that can still work on their paddock or small holding and be shown as well with a bit more power & comfort than the classic Ferguson TE 20 or the Fordson Major or dexta.
