2025 U.S. Military Basic Pay Charts
On March 11, 2024 at 1130 EDT, President Biden released his budget plan for Fiscal Year 2025. It states, "The Budget funds a robust 4.5 percent pay raise for America’s servicemembers, continuing to build on the highest pay raise in decades of 5.2 percent in 2024." The proposed pay increase is directly in-line with U.S.C. Title 37, Chapter 19, §1009, and if approved, the raise will become effective January 1, 2025.
On October 31, 2023 at 0830 EDT, the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics released Employment Cost Index (ECI). According to law defined in U.S.C. Title 37 Chapter 19, §1009, this morning's release will be the military pay raise percentage for 2025 unless a separate action is taken by the President or Congress. Based on this morning's release, the pay raise will be 4.5 percent, and if ultimately approved, it will become effective January 1, 2025.
