| Cavs | Kyrie Irving | PG – 6-2 – Duke – The Cavs will have a hard time passing on Irving. He is an elite point guard prospect. Part Deron Williams, part Chris Paul and ready to bring Cleveland back from the abyss. Irving is a pass-first point guard with all the tools to lead an NBA club for the next decade. Very good court vision, quickness and can make all the passes. Good mid range game and unstoppable pull-up jumper and potential to become a very accurate NBA three point shooter. Coming off a toe injury and lacking experience but if healthy he will quickly become a star. | 6,2 Chris Paul |
| T-Wolves | Derrick Williams | F – 6-8 – Arizona – The Timberwolves are loaded up front (I never thought I’d say that) but it might be too hard to pass on another power forward in Williams. He is a versatile player and could line-up along side Kevin Love and Michael Beasley to form an intimidating group. Williams is an absolute beast of an athlete. Huge muscles and explosive leaping ability make him very hard to stop with the ball in his hands or on the boards. He has developed a nice offensive game including a quickly improving jumper with range beyond the college three. Starting to remind me of a young Blake Griffin but with a better outside game. | Amare Stoudamire/Blake Griffin |
| Jazz | Enes Kanter | F – 6-10 – Turkey – If the Cavs take Irving #1 they will likely take the best available big man at #4. Kanter is a very skilled PF with good strength and toughness. Can score with his back to the basket or face up for jumpers and drives. Lacks great leaping ability but has nice footwork around the basket and uses pump fakes well. A beast on the block who also has outstanding hands and ball skills for a man his size. | Kevin Love |
| Cavs | Jonas Valanciunas | PF – 6-10 – Lithuania – A very promising young big man who is only scratching the surface of his potential. Mixes it up inside with good ball fakes and back to the basket moves. Very solid rebounder and good shot blocker. Needs to add weight and strength. Contract issues will keep him in Europe for next season. | Joakim Noah |
| Raptors | Brandon Knight | G – 6-4 – Kentucky – The Jazz have had luck taking a PG at #3 and might do it again. Knight is a tall and quick point guard who is a high level prospect with excellent length and great feel for the game. He is quick with the ball but not an elite level athlete like Wall. Very good handle helps him to get into the lane and shake loose for step back jumpers. Pushes the ball on the break as well as any guard in the country. Excellent three point shooter. | Jrue Holiday |
| Wizards | Tristan Thompson | PF – 6-9 – Texas – Prototypical body and game for the NBA power forward position. Thompson is a very good athlete and skilled player who has the size and potential strength to work the low block but will need to add muscle over the next few years. Good leaper, shot blocker and dunker with developing post moves and ability to step out and knock down jumpers. Good passer out of the post and seems to understand the game well. | smaller KG |
| Bobcats | Jan Vesely | PF – 6-11 – Int. – This young big man is a great leaper and dunker who plays with a ton of passion. Has good form on his jumper and potential NBA three point range. He runs the floor well due to his athleticism and pure hustle. Seems to have a real love for the game and a passion to excel. Must add weight but at only 21 years old that will come. Unlike most Euro players he loves to take it hard to the rim and dunk. Also has good timing on defense to block shots. | Andrei Kirilenko/Josh Smith |
| Pistons | Bismack Biyombo | PF – 6-9 – Congo – Strong, quick and explosive power forward who at only 18 years of age has huge upside as a defensive stopper and rebounder. There are questions about his real age but there is no question that he will be a very good shot blocker in the NBA. | Ben Wallace/Serge Ibaka |
| Bobcats | Kemba Walker | PG – 6-0 – UConn – A powerful and explosive point guard who is a bit undersized at 5,11 but makes up for it with huge athleticism. A great penetrator with hops and good court vision. Not a great shooter but likely to develop NBA three point range over time. Plays with passion and pressures the ball on defense. | Speedy Claxton |
| Kings | Jimmer Fredette | G – 6-2 – BYU – Crafty penetrator and great three point shooter who draws lots of fouls and kills it from the line. A scoring point guard who lacks elite speed but is very smart with the ball and strong enough to guard bigger point guards in the post. A poor man’s Steve Nash. Article Article#2 | Kirk Hinrich |
| Warriors | Donatas Motiejunas | F – 7-0 – Lithuania – I’ve been high on Motiejunas since seeing him play in Portland two years ago. Motiejunas is a smooth seven footer with the skills of a SF. He has a nice handle, developing NBA three point range and good feel for the game. Has a great handle for a player his height and natural feel for the game. A fiery competitor with a will to win and the skills to make it happen. The concerns about his defense are legit but his promise is too high to pass up. He is much more of a Nowitzki or Bargnani than a Darko and though it may take a few years of patience, it will be worth it. | Dirk Nowitzki |
| Jazz | Marcus Morris | PF – 6-8 – Kansas – Very efficient and high energy player who has a nose for the ball and can score with ease. A bit undersized for the NBA game but he can step out and use his quickness against bigger players. Also has a really good feel for the game and seems to be in the right place at the right time. | Carlos Boozer/Glen Robinson |
| Suns | Klay Thompson | SG – 6-6 – Washington State – Well built shooting guard with a lightening quick jumper with range to NBA 3. Does not have elite quickness but has good bounce and can get into the lane or to the rim off the dribble. | Courtney Lee |
| Rockets | Kawhi Leonard | SF – 6-7 – San Diego State – Solid combo forward with good all around game, versatility and athleticism. Nice mid range game but will have to improve his outside shooting to reach his potential. Good rebounder and defender. | Jeff Green |
| Pacers | Markieff Morris | PF – 6-9 – Kansas – Plays in the shadow of his twin brother but is a better rebounder and interior defender. Coming along offensively and plays with great hustle and gets in good position. A late bloomer who could be become an excellent shooter from 18 feet. | David Lee |
| 76ers | Nikola Vucevic | C – 6-10 – USC – Vucevic has good touch around the basket and developing skill set but lacks the athleticism to keep up with the new breed of NBA power forwards. Solid rebounder and defender with pretty nice looking outside shot and ball skills. Kind of a poor man’s Enes Kanter. | Rafael Araujo |
| Knicks | Chris Singleton | F – 6-9 – Florida State – Very active rebounder and hustle player who is a better athlete and harder worker than most players on the court. An elite defender who gets steals and blocks and shuts down his man. Runs the court well and finishes above the rim. | Thaddeus Young |
| Wizards | Alec Burks | SG – 6-6 – Colorado – If Burks falls this far it will be a disappointment. He is well built for the pro game with strong, broad shoulders and good quickness. Very young with a lot to learn but has a good head on his shoulders and a jumper to back up the hype. | Allan Houston |
| Bucks | Iman Shumpert | G – 6-5 – Georgia Tech – At 6,5 Shumpert has good size and length for the shooting guard position but is not a very good three point shooter. Good ball-handler and passer who can play the point position. Also a good defender who has upside potential to grow into. | Jamal Crawford/JR Smith |
| T-Wolves | Marshon Brooks | SG – 6-5 – Providence – T-Wolves could use a big time scorer like Brooks who uses quickness, ball handling and a great feel for the game to get to the rim or show off a good mid-range jumper. Not a great athlete but good enough to get free for shots. Good three point shooter who can get hot in a hurry. | Kerry Kittles |
| Blazers | Tobias Harris | SF – 6-8 – Tennessee – The Trailblazers have a log jam at SF but seem to be high on Harris. He is a hard working hustle player who has an NBA body and the drive to improve his game. Runs the floor well and finishes strong. Decent jumper and good passing ability. Very well tuned and strong body who could be ready sooner than most youngsters. | Jimmy Jackson/Charles Barkley |
| Nuggets | Jordan Hamilton | SF – 6-8 – Texas – Hamilton is a talented small forward with a deadly jumper. Well built and has quickness to get by his defender. A bit awkward athletically but has an NBA ready body and is a tough match up for defenders. | Trevor Ariza/Poor man’s Clyde Drexter |
| Rockets | Tyler Honeycutt | F 6-8 – UCLA – Lengthy point-forward with good range on his shot and good offensive skills. Needs to add strength to fullfil his defensive potential but his long arms allow him to be disruptive on D. Good feel at the offensive end. | Tayshaun Prince |
| Thunder | Kenneth Faried | PF – 6-8 – Morehead State – Productive power player who is not fancy but effective. Good rebounder and could make the NBA as a hustle, clean-up type player. | Paul Milsap |
| Celtics | Reggie Jackson | G – 6-3 – Boston College – Combo guard with the body of a point guard but not a natural floor general. Long arms and good athleticism make him a capable defender and effective player in transition. Decent three point shooter. | Marcus Banks |
| Mavs | Trey Tompkins | PF – 6-10 – Georgia – Strong, powerful and skilled forward. Nice looking jump shot and face up game and developing a back to the basket game. | Mo Speights |
| Nets | Jajuan Johnson | PF – 6-10 – Purdue – A pogo stick player who might blow away in a strong breeze but is a productive rebounder, shot blocker and scorer. Does not appear to have a body that can add much strength and will always struggle to defend more rugged players in the post. | Robert Horry |
| Bulls | Josh Selby | G – 6-3 – Kansas – Explosive combo guard who had a tough season at Kansas due to suspension and injury but has a world of potential. Good shooter and explosive scorer with high upside but a long way to go to reach his potential. | Lou Williams |
| Spurs | Jimmy Butler | SF – 6-7 – Marquette – Showed surprising athleticism at the combine and followed that up by performing very well in the shooting drills. Looks like he could make it as a back up NBA wing and defensive specialist. | Landry Fields |
| Bulls | Kyle Singler | SF -6-8 – Duke – Very heady player who surprises with his ball skills and all around game. A tweener who is not a natural fit at small forward and is way undersized as a power forward but is very talented with a high basketball IQ. | Shane Battier |
