How should I spend my time in Luxembourg?
Hello!!
So I have a very specific time frame for when I’m going to be in Luxembourg City next week and I was wondering if I could get some advice.
In attending a conference in Strasbourg next weekend and have to fly to Luxembourg and take the bud down to Strasbourg. Lucky for me I’m gonna have some time before and after the buses! The first day I will have 4 hours free in Luxembourg on a weekday evening and then about 9 hours free during the day on the weekend.
What’s a good way to spend this time? I’m very much looking forward to seeing your city and country!
Thanks
Depends, culture stuff in the city, if you are up for a hike go to berdorf on the weekend. And this weekend is marche internationale/marche de l'armee in diekirch saturday and sunday. So there should be entertainment and a good crowd in diekirch too.there os also direct train connection luxembourg-diekirch.
Walking around is the best: Petrusse Valley, the Grund, Neimenster, Chemin de la Corniche, Casemates, panoramic elevator of the Pfaffenthal. Have a drink at the Gudde Wellen terrace. On your free evening you can go to Clausen.
not spending is the best spending
Is it really that expensive?
Taxi is really expensive. Public transport is for free. ( first class not included)
Is it easy to get between the airport and city on the public transport?
Very easy

There is also an app.
If you have 9 hours you could consider taking the bus to Echternach. Very lovely city with a great little lake where you could even go for a swim. The bus goes directly from Kirchberg to Echternach, takes around 30 minutes.
Just walk around! You can go to Pont d'adolohe, then go to chemin de la corniche, maybe bisit Kirchberg
This is a good suggestion, especially if the weather is nice. There's a city circular path, the Wenzel walk, which takes you through the pretties parts :)
Thank you!
I recommend just strolling the city and going to some museums.
I'd especially recommend the national museum for art and history MNHA, the Luxembourg city museum and the guided Tour through the Bockfels Casemates.
Thanks!
