Originally just a for-fun project, Ryan Adams released 1989, his T-Swift covers project, after much encouragement and love towards the album. He made it, not because he thought it could be better, but because he wanted to put his own perspective and voice on the tracks.

A friend of Swift himself, she showed her excitement, tweeting “Is this true???????” and “I WILL PASS OUT.”

Adams released his cover of “Bad Blood” on September 18, 2014, and set the release date of the album for the 21st.
