The Beats Studio Wireless, sometimes referred to as Beats Studio2 Wireless, is a line of wireless, over-ear and noise-cancelling headphones developed by Beats by Dr. Dre and aimed towards professionals and artists. The Beats Studio Wireless was released in 2013 along with the wired 2nd-generation Beats Studio as lighter, stronger, and more comfortable successors to the original Beats Studio.
Description[]
The Studio Wireless headphones have Bluetooth capabilities, and can be used with or without a wire. The exterior shares the updated design of the 2nd-generation Beats Studio, causing it to also be referred to as the Beats Studio Wireless 2.0. Unlike other Beats by Dr. Dre headphones of the time, the Beats Studio Wireless has an internal battery and can be recharged for up to 12 hours of wireless audio playback. Using the included cable for a wired connection will extend the battery life to 20 hours. However, the active noice cancellation cannot be turned off.[1] A microphone is also built into the headphones to allow phone calls to be made using Bluetooth.
Discontinuation[]
The Studio Wireless and wired 2nd-generation Studio were both superseded by the Beats Studio³ Wireless in October 2017.
