The Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers enjoys acclaim for its prime location and the stunning harbor views offered by many of its rooms, which have been recently updated. However, some guests have raised concerns about room cleanliness, noise, and occasional unpleasant odors. While the modern rooms contribute to a positive atmosphere, the lobby and amenities receive mixed reviews, with some travelers finding the lobby lackluster and the amenities limited. The service quality also varies, with commendations for staff friendliness but critiques regarding inconsistent wait times and communication. Lastly, the hotel's value proposition is questioned by guests who feel that dining is overpriced and amenities such as free shuttle services are missing.

We stayed two weeks as part of compulsory quarantine for all arrivals to Hong Kong. Of the hotels which offered quarantine stays, this hotel had the option of relatively large rooms with view to help to make the quarantine more bearable.

The view of Victoria Harbour was indeed stunning day and night. The room was spacious to stretch out and to do some exercise without feeling cramped. The beds were super comfortable, as well as the cosy armchair. There was a good selection of TV channels but no HBO. The staff on the phone were friendly and well informed and the lady in room service even remembered our favourite orders after a few days.

The room was rather dated, in need of renovation. Cleaning could be better, for example the carpet edges and corners should have been vacuumed thoroughly before the next arriving guests. The room was somewhat dusty, since the windows were fixed shut, the dusts could only had come from the air-conditioning vents.

The menu for room service was very limited, reduced to a printed double sided A4. The quality was inconsistent, while most items were excellent, some we tried once and never ordered again, disappointing for such class of hotel especially for such limited menu. There was a Michelin rated Chinese restaurant in the hotel which could be ordered via room service, the food was excellent throughout, at a price.

During our long stay there was no call from guest service asking how was our stay, was there anything they could do or to get for us since we could not leave our room under quarantine, or a little token, like an occasional fruit basket or something to show they cared. Perhaps we were expecting too much !

As we are Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium Elite members we tend to alternate our Hong Kong stays between the Sheraton and the JW on our visits to Hong Kong. It all depends on rates and point redemption availability. This time when we made some relatively last-minute changes to our travel plans the Sheraton came in as most affordable.

There are pros and cons to both properties; at the Sheraton, we love the breakfast buffet in the restaurant (and Eva, one of the restaurant managers, is always a delight), but the club lounge is just so-so, although it seems to have gotten a little better since our last visit.

The views can also be hit and miss. The trade-off from a smaller room with a direct harbour view is often a nice and roomy suite upgrade with a view of the building next door, as we had this time, but since we were there to visit family we really only slept in the room, so it was fine.

We really appreciated how they looked after us as Elite members this visit and that left a great impression.

The location is superb, right off of Nathan Road and adjacent to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, easily walkable to restaurants and shopping.

Although the property is a bit dated it does appear that they maintain things relatively well and may have even done a soft goods upgrade in the rooms of late.

We will definitely consider staying there again the next time we visit Hong Kong.

We’re 7 days into a 21 day quarantine which, let’s be honest, nobody likes or would ever choose to do voluntarily. We were nervous but our stay in Sheraton has been much more pleasant than we could have anticipated so far.

People are apprehensive, annoyed and, in some cases, scared to do a long period of quarantine which must be strange for hotels used to relaxed and happy customers staying to relax and have fun, so the bar for enjoying a quarantine stay is set artificially pretty high. We think it has been met and there is nothing that we can complain about so far.

We have been absolutely delighted by the food (which we unexpectedly plan our day around). The best so far have been the Thai veg curry, tandoori chicken meal, smoked salmon pasta and seafood Tom yum spaghetti. We brought lots of vitamins as we were worried about that but we have had an abundance of fresh fruit, veg, salad, yoghurt and fresh grapefruit, apple and orange juice.

Anything that we have asked for has been delivered quickly and with no fuss (a dehumidifier, fresh bed linen and ice among a few requests)!

Deliveries from shops and friends have arrived lightening quickly. Our friend dropped a parcel two nights ago and the staff asked if it was hot food that had to be delivered straight away or if it could wait five minutes. It wasn’t food and it came five minutes later.

The WiFi is incredibly stable which for which we have been incredibly grateful with lots of Zoom calls and FaceTime and emails and Netflix.

We really like that we are limited in space so housekeeping haven’t stocked the room full of things (toilet rolls, water, tea, coffee etc) that we are able to easily order each day (they have a simple but effective app)!

My absolutely favourite thing is strangely how courteous and thoughtful the staff who deliver and collect from our corridor are as, in most hotel stays we hear corridor noise and are frequently woken by housekeeping chatting and pushing trolleys but that hasn’t happened once so far.

We’d obviously rather much not be here but, given that we are, can’t imagine that we’d rather be quarantining anywhere else!

With the exception of it's convenient location at the heart of Tsim Tsa Tsui, unfortunately I'd have to say everything else about this Sheraton in Hong Kong is woefully subpar compared to it's competitors or even hotels in Hong Kong under the Marriott brand.

Rooms
This Sheraton is dated and it completely shows. There are stains everywhere and the hotel just feels old, in desperate need of renovation. Worse yet, the sink in the bathroom is almost unusable given that the faucet is placed so close to the side of the basin that you can't put your hands properly under the running water.

Service
The service here is minimal, to say the least. Restaurant staff in Celestial Court in particular seem to have no clue what the current Marriott promotions/offers are. When the guest seems to know your promotions better than the staff, there is a problem.
Compared to the traditional standard in the Asia Pacific, staff don't seem well trained or all that eager to have a proper conversation with you. Perhaps the pandemic is taking a toll on the mood on staff, but this is not really an excuse for lacklustre service in the hospitality industry, especially when guests are few and far between.

Food
Food at Celestial Court was great, no complaints there other than some mix-ups on the bill. However, for breakfast there were many mix-ups. What we were served did not align all that nicely with what we ordered, and the numerous errors seem quite unacceptable again for this class of hotel.

All in all, the Sheraton is not worth a stay in Hong Kong save for its convenient location in the heart of TST. Spend you hard earned money elsewhere, say at the Ritz Carlton, W hotel, or even the Courtyard in Sai Ying Pun.

We stayed in the hotel in September and I know it has been a bit late making the comment. Anyway, we had a great time in Sheraton Hong Kong.

The view for the room was brilliant. We could see the Victoria Harbour. Even the hotel was a old building and the lobby looked classic, the room was nice. It was a large one, and we had a good sleep that night.

The receptionist was super polite. At the same time, staff members would greet guests when they saw the guests in the corridor. I still remembered that we found out some problems of the phone and we asked for help. A staff came for help immediately and brought another spare one so that she might not have to come again and disturb the guest in case changing of phone was needed. Nice.
And I asked for some additional shampoo and soap pieces and the hotel brought me some and place them well in a paper bag.

And those staff members in the restaurant were so helpful. We had breakfast and some of them even introduced us the food items. (And one waitress encouraged us to try the drink that she said that was good for health). We also had buffet lunch and they found out that there wasn’t any water in my glass and refilled the glass with water immediately. Food was so far so good. But those oysters served during lunch buffet were really delicious.

To conclude, perfect. Rate wasn’t expensive, but service quality was super.

Stayed here for 1 night in Mid-August in the Tower Deluxe Harbour King Room at a great rate. Tower lounge was closed due to government regulation for pandemic control, however coffee, tea, soft drinks, and bottled water were delivered to room instead of serving to guests in lounge. Happy hour refreshments got changed to a pre-set menu delivered to guests between 4-7pm to enjoy in room. Special thanks to Crystal (Tower Floor Guest Officer) to deliver items and taking care of my needs during the stay. Definitely looking forward to visit the Tower Lounge again once is open for public again.

Sheraton Hong Kong is located at one of the best area in Hong Kong, right off of Nathan Road with close access to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and Star Ferry. The hotel has been welcoming guests since 1974 with a recent refurbishment in 2014, and it still remains a solid choice for business or pleasure. The hotel lobby was spacious and comfortable and the checking in was fast and smooth. I appreciated how the hotel recognized elite members status and the complimentary room upgrades to the Harbour View Suite at check-in. The suite was quite large and clean with the amazing Victoria Harbour view from top floors. The pillows and bedding are comfortable. However, the hardware needs to be replaced since they begins to wear out not only from the bedroom to the bathroom, but also the outside, where the old paint is scaling off a wall.

The Towers lounge on 16/f used to open daily and feature afternoon tea and hors d'oeuvres in the evening, but due to the government regulation, a tray of hors d'oeuvres and beverage were directly delivered to room during this period. The food was tasty and presented in a nice way. The buffet breakfast at the Cafe downstairs in the lobby was okay. Their quality and selection of food during the dinner buffet are outstanding as well. Also I had lunch at the Celestial Court Chinese Restaurant. The award-winning dim sum (especially the signature backed black bun with barbecued pork and Chicken dumpling in soup) is excellent and the service is attentive.

If you are looking for a luxurious staycation and “instagrammable” room right here at Tsim Sha Tsui, Rosewood Hong Kong is the best fit for you. Otherwise, Sheraton is still a solid choice for a good accommodation with superb location with an affordable price.

Located on the tip of Kowloon, a block from a subway entrance and two blocks from the Star Ferry, the location is perfect for Hong Kong tourists. My wife and I spent four days here, and I would suggest paying the extra amount for the Harbor view, which is spectacular. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a nice breakfast buffet, not included. The rooms are not large and the bathroom is rather small, but the amenities are nice. I especially liked that the bed had a special orthopedic neck pillow. With Hong Kong Island and Central only two quick subway stops away, I cannot think of a better location to base yourself when exploring Hong Kong. The photo is the view from our 6th floor room.

I've booked a suite for a stay on Friday night. The hotel itself is a bit dated for my liking, and there's construction going on but I like the location.

Pre-arrival I've asked in the chat 1- can i only book for the pool on arrival; 2- a request for a quiet room as me and my partner are light sleepers. I got a template reply for the construction hours without acknowledging my request for the room, and I've to ask about the pool for the second time.

Arrived at 3:30pm and the room was not ready and the explanation was that "4pm check out extended to the previous bonvoy titanium guest so your room will only be ready at 5pm" Was offered a temporary room before the room being ready at 5pm, standard handling, I'd say 5pm is optimistic but sure they offered a solution. But this is where I have an issue; it sounded to me like "this other important guest was here so you will just have to wait". I understand it's part of your most valued guests' benefit, but considering I'm also paying for a suite, that tone was a problem.

Planned to be by the pool anyway so that didn't bother me that much. The pool closes at 4pm on weekdays, so I really only have 30minutes for it. Once I realized there is no lounge access with the rate, and thought then I just won't wait for the suite and switch to a Harbourview room. But there's scaffolding for he construction so it's basically quite pointless.

This was when I asked nicely if I could cancel the booking.

Staff came back after checking with the manager saying "this time we can cancel for you however please read the rate details carefully next time".

I'd acknowledge that I wasn't aware regarding the lounge access. But where in the rate did you state the room is going to be ready that late in the evening? It is your choice to offer late check out for any guests, but I'd just have to stand by and be ready whenever you are? Not to mention if you're going to do a thorough housekeeping service for a suite room, the room being ready at 5pm is looking very much like an empty promise.

While I understand your operational limitations, I did not appreciate the tone and, of course arrangements, considering you didn't really offer any help with all that time that I've to kill due to your service delay.

Would not recommend.

Stayed here for two different weekend, one to celebrate my birthday, one to celebrate our anniversary. First time, the front desk lady is so sweet that throw me a big suite, macaroon and bday card in room is very nice.

Second time different lady at front desk, not that friendly and I've asked to upgrade to the tower building because of the lounge (which I'll mention later), but I just found out I could get upgrade to a giant suite in this building but I'd never get an upgrade to the basic room of the Tower, which is pretty strange if you just take a look of the price different. Anyway, I got a smaller suite the second time, but they gave us a bottle of wine and some chocolate to celebrate which is nice tho.

So the room is nice, the location is perfect, the breakfast is pretty amazing, it got tons of choices and very tasty. But the only thing holding me back is the lounge, I could say it's just a small meeting room more than a lounge, once you enter, you see few rooms, one with the food and drink and the others just fill with table and chair. It shocks me the first time I been there. I think this is the smaller lounge I ever been to with such a uncomfortable setting, like you have to go through different doors to get your food and drink. And there's no view at all, it just feels suffocating. You dont really expect such a small lounge in a big property. And if you ever been to the lounge in the Tower, you will be even more shock when you see this.

I think they need to serious consider to renovate the lounge or just let platinum member to use the tower lounge as well. I dont mind they dont serve proper food but at least a proper place for a drink.

Take the Airport Express train to Kowloon station and take a HKD25 taxi direct to the hotel. If its 2-3 pax maybe a taxi might be more economical.
