The air quality is fresh, no smog at all. Better than the smog in Changsha city just at the base of the mountain. On weekends, you will not find parking. It is best to arrive by metro or taxi. Entrance is free but you need to enter your govt ID number to get into the park. I just slipped past my uncle. Plenty of bathrooms throughout the park. It is China so you will have crowds on the weekend (think Disney level) but getting around was no problem. The climb to the highest point took 40min one way. It is an easy climb if you take the wide streets. More strenuous if you take the stone steps. On 11/5/2023 I did not see any autumn colors. Maybe I was one week too early. Or maybe it’s just not the right kind of trees. Overall very nice and refreshing from the main city. I would go again.

The museum’s collection is especially rich in Hunan Provincial artifacts. Highlights of the collection include a Western Han Dynasty tomb, an over 2,100-year mummified female corpse of Xinjiang Zhu, cultural relics of many ancient Chinese dynasties, weapons, pottery, porcelain, ceramics, bronze ware, ancient fabrics and clothing, magnificent coloured paintings, awesome animated art, and much more. Truly beautiful, well displayed, and explained in Chinese and and partially explained in English.

On this visit we studied the trees of this over 1,000 year old, prestigious Chinese academy, founded in the year 976. The awesome, tangled big trees in Yuelu Academy are the artwork of nature.

China does parks well, They allow citizens to get outdoors, exercise, socialise or just escape a dingy apartment. This park is quite large and has some pleasant walks and nice bridges. In summer a cool breeze comes off the lakes but it does get pretty crowded. I went early in the morning and as I was leaving around 7,30 am people were streaming in. Sadly the monument is being renovated currently so I missed out on my history lesson. As usual there are dancers, tai-chi exponents, musicians and even lake swimmers. Nothing special but very pleasant in general.

Great and very large shopping mall, loaded with premium and luxury brands. I bought a pair of pants and a hoodie at Lululemon.

The vast majority of the information displayed is only in Chinese. In many cases, only the title of an exhibit was in Chinese and English. In over 80% of the cases, the detailed information provided is only in Chinese. Good information on the history of Hunan province and Changsha.

The museum is not packed with exhibits. It could easily be hold 3 or more times the number of artifacts and exhibits.

My rating would be 4 (Very Good) for Chinese readers interested in the history of Hunan Province, and 2 to 3 to non Chinese readers.

This park also called as Martyr's Park, located in the center of Changsha, you can reach it by subway, several buses. The middle Monument is the main attraction, best to see this park on nice sunny afternoon, when the temperature is not so hot.

This fun park carries a hefty 180 yuan entrance fee, but has a few exciting rides such as roller coasters, giant swing and others. Good for a day out, but don't expect Disney or Universal style quality. Weekends and holidays best avoided for the large crowds.

It is a very expansive and thorough residence to explore, with many of Li Fuchun's personal belongings, calligraphy, and photographs, located in an easily accessible and busy district. The residence consists of 3 multi-story buildings and a small outdoor area with a statue and a well maintained restroom. Entry is free but requires online booking in advance. There used to be a gift shop here but it no longer exists which was disappointing to see as I was hoping to purchase something to commemorate my visit to this historic site. Overall, this place is very good and is a good museum in memory of Li Fuchun.

Well this brings back memories of when i was at school. (not in Changsha) The place is definitely worth visiting. Take your time and look in every room and you will be amazed. The cool of the rooms, the quietness and the history behind it. read all about it and be surprised and take some photos.
Highly worth a visit and easy to get to by taxi.
