My evisitor application has been referred to the VACCU unit, can anyone give me an indication of how long this process takes, as the official sites give no clear indication
looking for advise...
We originally booked our trip to oz before covid but had to put on hold during the pandemic.
We managed to store our flights with our airline in travel bank but had a time frame to rebook our trip and book our flights. We applied for evisitor in December 22 myself and our 3 children received ours straight away but my husband has a suspended sentence from 2011 when he got into a drunken fight in a bar and got hit with an affray charge.
his application got sent to VACCU. He has filled out all the information they required but they haven't opened his case since 10th January. We are due to fly out on the 27th March all our savings have stupidly been spent on this trip. My sister lives in Oz and she's just had a baby we are desperate to see them and meet our niece. unfortunately doesn't look like this trip is meant to be :(
Cant believe its taking so long for a decision over a fight he had over 10 years ago and no offence since.
We are only staying in Oz for 2 weeks.
Has anyone had similar happen to them?
Do we have any chance of hearing back in time for our flight?
I must add I have contacted our local MP and he is also trying to get more answers.
Hi Lisa,
If you read this thread you will see many people have been waiting a lot longer than you have for a decision.
I suppose its not impossible that he will get his visa in time to travel but probably not that likely.
Rather than not see your sister and her children and lose all your savings, have you considered going without your husband? It’s only 2 weeks and at least something would be salvaged. Travelling all that way with children on your own wouldn’t be easy but not impossible,
Good luck!
what visa did you apply for ?
What visa? when did your application get sent to vaccu?
Ours was tourist visa just going for a holiday
Thank you we are waiting until 10 days before then will need to put a plan B in place.
It’s such a long way to travel with 3 young children alone it scares me a little.
It also feels so wrong but we will see what happens.
Thanks for your help. 😊
any updates? especially those who applied for rrv visas?, much appreciated!
Hi, @robynm. Can i ask is this 3 month to grant visa from when vaccu requests further information or from the date you submit all your information.
nikita how do you know your issued a case officer? do they message you to tell you that its been asinged? or is this when they request more information?
