Give it a go. Agreat experience even though I was terrified
What an amazing experience. Only 10 minutes in with the big Tigers but it seemed a lot longer. Only because I was terrified. One was asleep but the other one was wide awake and angry. My knees were shaking but I got through it. Glad I did it. Highly recommend it to anyone.

    Great time with tigers
A great place if you would like to have a closer look at tigers. The place is run like a clock with great and friendly staff that attended to our family with big smiles. Prices were reasonable, since we had small kids with us they recommended taking pictures with the smallest tiger was about two years old. They have the option to “play with the tigers” but we didn’t go for it as our daughter was too young. They have cheetah option as well. When you buy your ticket they give estimated waiting time, you can have a cup of coffee in the cafe or walk around the cages to see the tigers. Once done we were able to get our pictures from the Photo Booth/counter with great ease. Don’t miss out the opportunity to visit them! Worth your money.

    Great close up encounter
A great close up encounter! We visited with two tigers and they really enjoyed the belly rubs! We visited early afternoon and didn’t wait long. The staff were friendly and took photos and videos. These animals are hand raised and well fed, so used to humans and quite placid. They are not sedated!

    Love cats. ❤️
This was a good experience, although after being to their sister one in Chiang Mai this just misses the mark. The animals are looked after and cared for however it really needs a upgrade . The viewing areas are secluded and you are unable to view others interacting with the tigers etc. However the grand children loved it and that was the main aim. Putting people's minds at rest the cats are not drugged....the Chiang Mai Tiger Kingdom did a fantastic tutorial that was very informative and addressed all those questions, this one was not that well operated.

    Nice tigery experience
Amazing experience. Loved the cubs more than the adult tigers. Its definitely worth the time. Just one thing to keep in mind is, for kids to see the small tigers, adult must accompany so please factor adult ticket cost if you are booking small tigers. They do not allow kids to go alone without adult.

Hearted ♥♥♥♥♥ Staff aswell as the tigers ..best experience of my life with animals ♥
This was the most amazing experience of my life ♥ I was very scared upfront and my friend to but i am so happy i did this ♥ I feel the staff does everything to protect you.I don't believe what some people say here that they are drugged..as most animals also cats and dogs sleep a lot of their time ..One was wakie and they just calm him down. The staff gives you instructions what not to do and what can.Ofcourse they have a stick..what if one attacks ? They just can use their hands to protect or to calm him down ?? The animals are well fed ..they are fresh and smell good and are clean. The cages are clean to.They have green to walk and play in .But when i went it was raining so they where in the cages..A cat or dog also lives in a house no ? When rain theey are inside aswell.I don't understand the negative comments..The trainers are such a lovely team ♥And yes ..ofcourse ..they get paid for this ..it's an attraction..but so is a zoo and those animals have a much smaller garden .Also the tigers here get their food..they don't have to hunt..So i think ..They are the mannequins of the jungle here ..possing for a roof and food plus a garden is'nt so bad is it ?Ofcourse running free is always better ..But then again..if they are born here they don't know any better and i thibk born in there they can't survive in a jungle ..Because they are raised otherwise..So depents on how you look at it.But i azm sure ..all the people in there that work with the tigers are lovely and caring people ♥ I am also sure they will never harm the tigers .I love Thailand and it's lovely people ..always smiling ..always gentle..And many people here live from toerism.. so are many country's ..notting wrong with that ..Keep up your great work in the Tiger Kingdom ..Thank you so much for the amazing hours we spend at your place ♥

A wonderful experience to spend time with the tigers although a little expensive at 900 bahts. We could spend 10 minute with a Medium tiger ( 2 yrs old) , as informed by the caretaker. A good place to take pic with tigers !!!

    Up-Close Tiger Encounter
We went to have an up-close encounter with the tiger. The customer service was excellent, and the tiger handles as well. The Tigers are obviously sedated as they seem sleepy and not interacting. I'm sure that is what makes it easier and safer for the encounter. It felt great to touch a tiger and be so close to this beautiful animal. However, I did feel a little gently afterward, considering the obvious of the tigers being sedated. Otherwise, the experience was great.

    Tiger kingdom visit
I love the experience here in this kingdom, animals seems to be well cared, people believe they are drugged, to be honest I don’t know. People working here said many times it cost a lot of money if they want drug them, also is dangerous for the animal, they can’t afford to risk it and also those big animals are in danger, they live longer then usual here. All of them are born here, they are used to interact with humans everyday, they just eat chicken, they don’t see other animals or humans as food. I’m just reporting what people said and what you can read. Also those animals are nocturnal, they don’t hunt during the day, during the day they usually sleep or rest, that’s another valid reason why they look like sleepy. People there explain to you where you can touch the animal, when you have to keep distance and they keep telling you to wash hands, arms and part of the body you might be in contact with them. Also they help you taking pictures without extra charge if you give them your phone. Of course the place is expensive though but for me worth the visit. I’m not sharing pictures with tigers because I don’t have without me 🤣

This place is a down right rip off! Paid Aus$200 for family of 4 to spend 6 minutes in a cage to have photo taken with tiger cubs! There is nothing else this place has to offer! No information about tigers, breeding programme, shows or any other form of information. Staff are not very friendly either! We paid for our tickets and were just left standing at the foyer without further guidance. After 10 minutes we approached a staff and she mumbled something in her language and pointed to a section with a grumpy face! I would not recommend this place as it is not value for money☹️

Hi kcH2075OO, thank you for your feedback, sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with us. We do have information signs throughout the park and our keepers are happy to answer any questions that you may have. However, the education part is something that we are trying to work on, and we hope to see improvements in this area. I will pass your feedback onto the staff to ensure that they are friendly and give clear instructions to our visitors in the future.

Amazing ethical experience to interact with tigers. The tigers had clean enclosures and were not sedated or mistreated at all. There were many handlers around, especially for the large older tigers, the handlers were quick to provide safety instructions to us, and played with with tigers like big cats to keep them entertained. If the tiger just wanted to sleep they let them do that as well.

Visits go according to the tiger's schedule, in the later afternoon the tigers are more active and visitors may not be allowed in with them. At mid day the tigers may be sleeping. After age 4 or 5 the tigers go to a sanctuary as they get too big and unpredictable.

It is worth the wait to interact with the tigers, we waited about 30 min, the wait for a tiger cub was over an hour. It costs a decent amount, but it is worth it and it also supports tiger conservation.

You can read about the experiences of people who worked at the sanctuary online to solidify this ethical animal encounter

At the Tiger Kingdom in Phuket, visitors can experience the joy and excitement of wildlife and nature. Spread over an area of four acres, Tiger Kingdom is located at the base of Patong Hill in Kathu District on Phuket Island. Visitors get an opportunity to go up close with Indochinese tigers, ranging from cubs to adults. Tiger Kingdom in Thailand provides a comfortable and caring environment for tigers of all ages and sizes. The attraction is one of the main highlights of Phuket Island which is also famous for beaches, rainforests, nightlife, and seaside resorts.

Each animal encounter at the Tiger Kingdom in Kathu Phuket allows visitors to spend around 10 minutes inside the enclosure with a chosen Big Cat. For the safety of visitors, all individuals are escorted by trained tiger keepers at all times. There is also a fixed time to feed the tigers. Make sure to visit the place during these feeding hours for a unique experience.

Visitors must follow strict procedures inside Tiger Kingdom like before entering a tiger enclosure, all personal belongings should be kept outside in a locker, and also shoes must be removed. Tourists should turn the flash off while taking pictures or video. Visitors can also take around 50 professional pictures clicked by a photographer at an additional cost of 500 THB.

Bengal Restaurant in Tiger Kingdom offers an à la carte menu including a range of Thai and Western food. There is also a gift shop where visitors can purchase a perfect memento of their animal encounters.

Overall, Tiger Kingdom in Thailand can be an adventurous experience as well as an educational one. It is one of the most popular attractions in Phuket for families and couples visiting Thailand.

Please please do not go to this tiger prison.. tigers are obviously drugged (despite what management say). You’d have to be naive to think otherwise. You pay 900 bt to enter a tiny cell where a lifeless tiger is waiting for you. The “keeper” then proceeds to hit the tiger until they get into the correct position for a photograph. Absolutely in humane place which needs to be shut down.

275jakobh, there is no good or ethical reason to give a tiger sedative medicine in order to interact with it. There are a hundred reasons not to, which is why we don’t. We do apologise however if the keepers were behaving inappropriately and we will work on improving this.

Please do not waste your money. Or time. Our family visited and were hustled for photos and high cost for literally 4-6 minutes inside the wire cage with drugged up small baby tiger. But sad part was watching the worker with stick hit and hit the baby tiger to get him to lay down for a photo. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. if You want a photo with a tiger, go to Fantasia show early and get a nice photo there with Tiger for 10% of the cost. So: Avoid Tiger Kingdom!

My visit was terrible as the customer relationships was rude whn we ask for family packages she said thats wht i have u like pay and enter u dont like leave .. our main concern was that not all the family wanna touch the tiger two only wanted to so ( an adult and a kid = 1600 bht) we gonna pay for this BUT the one will take their pictures without touching the tiger should enter free or with small fees but they didnt accept that they forced us to get photographer 300 baht (20pic on his preference and send it by email) OR pay full fees for the third person who will just enter to video them .. thats not logical at all !! I have visited so many countries nothing is like that 👎

Hi Kholoud, sorry that you didn't have a great experience with us, but we thank you for your feedback. We do not have any family packages as our tickets are all priced per person. But it is correct that everyone entering the enclosure must hold a valid Tiger Encounter ticket. Regardless of your intentions once you are inside the enclosure, there is a high level of service and safety maintained for all and as such, we cannot split the ticket prices based on how you think you might act once you are inside. With your safety in mind, our staff have acted appropriately on this occasion.

We went in June 2019 and would never go again.

As this is a third world country and in some parts heavily rely on tourism, I do appreciate the reasons why this is in place.

The place is tiny and I do not understand how anyone can say it is sufficient for such large animals.

The place is reliant on tourist purchasing photo packages from little cubs to adults. The caged area where this is done is tiny, a wooden fan/ broom is shashed on the ground in close proximity of the animals so they get startled and look up at the camera. The tigers appear to be drugged to some degree.

One of the large tigers was pacing in his cage and making a sound similiar to a whine / cry.

In hindsight, I wish we didnt attend this facitility.

After going to Green Elephant Santuary then this is worlds apart.

Hi FamilyHolidays19, sorry that you feel this way, but we thank you for your feedback. We are a small zoo, but the tigers are housed in enclosures that have been built to meet or exceed size requirements for big cats. We are currently building larger enclosures for them in Chiang Mai where they will live once they reach maturity and where we are not able to extend, we are always trying to improve the spaces and keep the animals stress free through daily enrichment.

This place is absolutely disgraceful, I feel very affected by what I saw along with the fact we paid money to support such a terrible place. Fortunately we didn’t pay to pose with the animals as we were there with other people. There is a sign telling you about how the animals are not drugged and free to move about as they choose, this is not the case the tigers are stopped from moving about freely and are forced to go where the circus performers in the cages (keepers I think they are meant to be). want them to go. It’s like a production line with people one after another posing with these animals, the tigers are whipped on the ears and poked to do what the performers want. I witnessed one of the big tigers being dragged by its tail so it could be positioned for a photo. I can’t say the animals are drugged as others have, however this animal must weigh in excess of 300kgs it didn’t react and just let the performers do this. There was no reaction from the tiger whatsoever, for me this can only be because they are possibly sedated in some way. We also witnessed another tiger have it’s testicle’s squeezed to make it get up, if I knew where to report this place to I would, the animals do not deserve this life it’s heartbreaking.

I was excited for this day. A lot of reviews mentioned that the tigers were treated well, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The tigers were clearly drugged-up and when the keeper wanted their attention he would simply whack the tiger on the head with his stick. If you believe in breeding programs with integrity I strongly recommend not going to this place.
