Nicer looking beach at the Melia... Sirenis is more north (darker sand)

Also calmer water at Melia.

Sirenis has a quieter beach when it comes to water traffic. Melia can sound and look like there is a parade going by in comparison. Sirenis has a very decent water park and the entire property has gone through an updating. Sirenis is very popular with British tourists, whereas Melia will have a very international clientele.

If you want to "get away from it all"....Sirenis. If you want to be "a part of it all"...Melia.

Sirenis is what I would call "isolated". It is located between Excellence El Carmen and Excellence Punta Cana but with lots of space in between. Beautiful long tan sand colour beach area. Zero foot or boat traffic, limited vendors so some may enjoy this. Friends of mine are repeat visitor (just returned last week) and always recommend it for families.

Thanks for the feedback. One more question: Can you walk along the beach to both Excellence resorts? From Google map it seems possible

Yes, you can go north to EPC and south to EEC.

my last 5 visits have been to the Melia area . There are always people walking by which i like better . There is a lot of boats towards the Barcelo but 80 % of them never move .. just anchored there.

Ive also narrowed down to these two as well. Which one did you end up deciding on? Why?

Haven't booked anything yet, but most likely it will be Sirenis. No specific reason .Just I have been to Bavaro area over 20 times and want a change. I have been to Sirenis, but it was 20 years ago, so my experience is now irrelevant.
