Always enjoy catching the sun when doing this hike. A few mosquitoes here and there l, loose rocks/gravel but nothing too difficult to maneuver. I didn’t get to summit since I hiked it alone..but still able to catch the beautiful sunset

Loved the trail except the giant bees at the top, they wouldn’t leave me alone. Otherwise beautiful hike with awesome views.

A gradual, comfortable incline the whole way. Not the most challenging, but the views are worth it. Clear views of Mount Baldy, Thunder Mountain, Telegraph Peak one direction. Mount Wilson, San Gabriel and Strawberry Peak the other.

No trouble parking, Trail is shaded most of the way. Not at all technically challenging but there is a bit of loose rock and gravel towards the top.

Was able to park on road near trailhead. Gradual incline on way up. Plenty of shade. Well maintained. Amazing views from peak.

Conditions: Great!

Perfect for a fire road and gentle elevation gain. Not too many people but also during week. The view from the top (former lookout) was incredible. We went on a hot day so bring hats and water.

The route is easy, the difficulty is well indicated. There is a lot of grit, loose sand and loose pebbles where you can easily slide off. Sturdy footwear is useful to plant your foot deep into the ground when descending.

Snowy and wet right now

It was super cold today and tried to hike before the rain arrived. Decided to hit Colver Peak and Sunset Point as well. Mostly on fire road. But you can opt for the ridge and that is fun slipping and sliding in soft dirt. It was snowing for a bit on the way down on the mountaineer’s route. Glad we triple peaked!

Well maintained service road with moderate elevation gain. The last 1/2 mile to the top, the trail narrows into a single track. AllTrails stopped recording after the summit, but my Apple Watch clicked 7.8 miles for the entire hike.

Definitely worth checking out the shortcut coming back down on the second switchback. Cut a good 1.5-2 miles! Not overgrown just a bit rocky with a bit of scrambling.
