Citi Credit Card Spring Spending Reward - "Up to 5% extra rebate on designated local spending categories” (“Promotion”) Terms & Conditions:

  1. Promotion period is from March 15,2024 to June 14, 2024, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”). The Promotion Period consists of 3 phases:
    • a) Phase 1: March 15 – April 14, 2024,
    • b) Phase 2: April 15 – May 14, 2024,
    • c) Phase 3: May 15 – June 14, 2024,

    A “Phase” is defined as either Phase 1, Phase 2 or Phase 3.

  2. This Promotion applies to Cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi Credit Card (“Citi Credit Card”) issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”).
  3. Cardholders are required to successfully register via one of the following channels during the Promotion Period in order to participate in this Promotion: (1) at “citibank.hk/local-spend-apply”; OR (2) register via Citi Mobile App “Get More” page (“Registration”). Each Cardholder is only required to register once only within the Promotion Period and is not required to register for each Citi Credit Card. Only the first 10,000 successfully registered Cardholders are eligible to participate in this Promotion (“Registered Cardholders”). Registration with a supplementary card is not accepted.
  4. To be entitled to the up to 5% extra rebate on designated local spending categories of clothing, dining, online supermarket and selected digital payments (“Designated Categories”) in this Promotion (“Extra Rebate”), Registered Cardholders are required to accumulate local retail spending of HK$5,000 or above (as illustrated on the table below and further defined underneath) made by the Citi Credit Card during the Promotion Period according to transaction date in a Phase, in which those single transaction of HK$500 or above in Designated Categories in the same Phase (as illustrated on the table below and further defined underneath) will be entitled to the up to 5% Extra Rebate. Ineligible Transactions are excluded (as stated on Clause 7).

    Maximum HK$900 in total during Promotion Period
     
    • a. Required accumulated local retail transaction(s) (“Required Accumulated Local Retail Spending”) is defined as all posted local retail transactions with official payment records made in Hong Kong dollars after deducting all applicable discounts, reductions, and value of cash vouchers (“Net Transaction Amount”) that accumulated of HK$5,000 or above. It includes the monthly installments of newly billed Merchant Installment Plan that are also posted during the Promotion Period.
    • b. Local clothing transaction(s) (“Designated Clothing”) is defined as all posted transactions made in Hong Kong dollars with the single Net Transaction Amount of HK$500 or above at merchants which are classified as “Apparel and Accessories” merchants or “Department Stores”, according to the merchant codes issued by VISA International, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and UnionPay International. For avoidance of doubt, transactions made through Taobao, HKTVmall are not considered as Designated Clothing transaction.
    • c. Local dining transaction(s) (“Designated Dining”) is defined as all posted transactions made in Hong Kong dollars with the single Net Transaction Amount of HK$500 or above at merchants or online food delivery platforms (Deliveroo, Foodpanda or Keeta) which are classified as “Restaurant” according to the merchant codes issued by VISA International, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and UnionPay International. For avoidance of doubt, transactions made in private room events, dining outlets in department stores and associations or any other merchants are not considered as Designated Dining transaction.
    • d. Local online supermarket transaction(s) (“Designated Online Supermarket”) is defined as all posted transactions made in Hong Kong dollars with the single Net Transaction Amount of HK$500 or above at merchants which are classified as “Online Food & Grocery” according to the merchant codes issued by VISA International, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and UnionPay International.
    • e. Selected digital payment transaction(s) (“Designated Digital Payments”) is defined as all posted retail transactions made in Hong Kong dollars with the single Net Transaction Amount of HK$500 or above via AlipayHK, WeChat Pay HK and PayMe. It includes those transactions made outside Hong Kong and settled in Hong Kong dollars with the single Net Transaction Amount of HK$500 or above via AlipayHK and WeChat Pay HK. Citibank reserves the right to amend Designated Digital Payments with any new digital payment platforms from time to time at its discretion without prior notice.
  5. For avoidance of doubt, the maximum Extra Reward amount awarded to a Registered Cardholder upon fulfilling the requirement as stated on Clause 4 is HK$300 in a Phase, and HK$900 in total throughout the entire Promotion Period regardless of the number of Citi Credit Cards used. If the Designated Dining transaction is made through the Citi Cash Back Card, the Extra Rebate is inclusive of the 2% Cash Rebate on Local Dining as stated in “Citi Cash Back Card Cash Rebate Program” and 3% rebate will be awarded from this Promotion. If the Designated Dinning transaction is made through Dynamic Currency Conversion transactions, i.e. transactions with conversion from a foreign currency into Hong Kong Dollars involved at the point of the transaction, it will not be entitled the 2% Cash Rebate under “Citi Cash Back Card Cash Rebate Program”.
  6. Citibank has no obligation to clarify whether or not a transaction is a Designated Clothing, Designated Dining, Designated Online Supermarket or Designated Digital Payments transaction before the Cardholder conducts such transaction.
  7. “Ineligible Transactions” include but not limited to, cash advance, purchase of cash vouchers, purchase/add value of gift cards, purchase/reload of stored value cards, Octopus Automatic Add Value service transactions, Octopus Add Value through Digital Payments such as ApplePay, transactions made through Faster Payment System (FPS) services, charity donations, phone/fax/mail order, traveler’s checks, foreign exchange transactions using Credit Card (for example but not limited to Forex.com, etc.), withdrawal amount/loan amount under the Balance Transfer Program, Cash Conversion Program, “FlexiBill” Installment Program and “PayLite” Installment Program, Quick Cash Installment Program, monthly installments of Merchant Installment Plan, all payments made by Citi PayAll, payment to the Inland Revenue Department, bill payment, utilities bill made with credit card via internet banking or online payment system, auto payment and recurring transactions, mutual funds payment, fees & charges, insurance transactions, casino transactions, unposted/cancelled/refunded transactions, other unauthorized transactions and fraud and abuse transactions. Transactions with refund of any amount will be deemed ineligible.
  8. Transactions of Required Accumulated Local Retail Spending or Designated Categories effected through principal and supplementary cards under the same Citi Credit Card account of a Registered Cardholder will be combined.
  9. Citibank will determine the eligibility of Registered Cardholders to participate in this Promotion as well as the transactions based on Citibank’s record, and at the sole and absolute discretion of Citibank. If transactions are confirmed to be qualified for Extra Rebate after verification by Citibank at its sole and absolute discretion, Extra Rebate will be rounded up to the nearest digit and credited to the Citi Credit Card with the total highest spending amount of Designated Categories (“Cardholder’s Designated Credit Card”) on or before August 31, 2024 (“Fulfilment Period”).
  10. Citibank will determine a merchant’s category based on the Merchant Category Code of the Eligible Transaction posted according to the merchant codes issued by VISA International, Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited and UnionPay International.
  11. Registered Cardholders must keep and submit the relevant original credit card sales slips and original merchant sales receipts in respect of this Promotion for inspection upon request by Citibank. All documents submitted to Citibank will not be returned.
  12. Cardholders’ Citi Credit Card accounts used for this Promotion must be valid and with good credit record during the Promotion Period and the Fulfillment Period in order to be eligible to receive any Extra Rebate; otherwise, Citibank reserves the right to forfeit the Extra Rebate without prior notice..
  13. In case of any fraud/abuse/reversal or cancellation of transactions in respect of which Extra Rebate were rewarded, Citibank reserves the right to debit the equivalent amount of Extra Rebate from the Cardholder’s Designated Credit Card account without prior notice.
  14. Citibank reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or withdraw or terminate this promotion at its discretion without prior notice and Citibank accepts no liability for such amendment, withdrawal or termination. All matters and disputes are subject to the final decision of Citibank.
  15. The promotions, products and services mentioned in the referenced document are not offered to individuals residing in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, Guernsey, Jersey, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican, The Isle of Man, the UK, Brazil, New Zealand, Jamaica, Ecuador or Sri Lanka. The referenced document is not, and should not be construed as, an offer, invitation or solicitation to buy or sell any of the promotions, products and services mentioned therein to such individuals.
  16. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail. If there is any discrepancy between the promotional materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall apply and prevail.
  17. No person other than the Cardholders and Citibank will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of these terms and conditions.
  18. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
