Download Bedrock Dedicated Server for Minecraft

If you want to run a multiplayer server for Minecraft, start by downloading the Bedrock Dedicated Server for either Windows or Ubuntu (Linux).

Windows

Minecraft Dedicated Server software for Windows

Unzip the container file into an empty folder. Start the server by executing the bedrock_server.exe file.

Ubuntu

Minecraft Dedicated Server software for Ubuntu (Linux)

Unzip the container file into an empty folder. Start the server with the following command:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./bedrock_server

Network: Broadband Internet connection
OS: The Linux version of Bedrock Dedicated Server requires Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS version) or later. Other distributions are not supported.

The Windows version of Bedrock Dedicated Server requires either:

  • Windows 10 version 10.0.15063 or later
  • Windows Server 2016 or later
