Amazing place. All the old buildings have been so well preserved. It looks amazing at night. And the view across the river at the Pudong district is quite a sight

If you are interested in having suits, blazers, shirts made, for men or women, go straight to JoJo at #134. I have had suits made in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai, and JoJo is by far the best. She has a wide array of fabrics available of really high quality, and there is no bait and switch. What you pick out is what she uses. She also speaks really great English and will work with you to make exactly what you want. They are fast too! We selected fabrics and were measured on a Wednesday, and JoJo delivered everything to our hotel - in person - on Friday night, to make sure everything was perfect. When you walk into the Fabric Market, people will try and pressure you to come into their shop. Keep walking until you get to JoJo's shop. JoJo is not a high-pressure sales person. She's very laid back and really just wants you to be happy with what you have made. I plan to refer all my colleagues to her for their work trips.

The pearl tower is and always will be, my favourite cute building in Shanghai. Avoid to visit him on Chinese holidays. But if you don’t mind long waiting lines, go for it

The museum is free, and no paying tickets are needed , but i had to go to the front desk to make "an appointment " as they called, or for me is registering our names using our passports. I was there when some exhibitions were still closed, but me and my husband still had some great exhibitions that were traditional paintings-poem paintings, Chinese traditional tribes' dresses, old furniture from the 14 th - 17th century.
I just wish I could see their exhibition about Leonardo Da Vinci, which was closed that time. Well maybe next time ...

For lots of foreigners in Shanghai, this is the place to go. It still looks French and there is an international feel as there are restaurants from all over the place. So many restaurants. So much great food. It's a great place to walk and a great place to eat!

A great shopping road if you have money to spend. But also just a great people watching road. Has a nice atmosphere at night and well worth walking along the road at night.

Visited this place on Christmas Eve. It was really jam-packed but good atmosphere though. This is a popular place for younger generation, with western food /restaurant options. I enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere in this area, with the Christmas decorations in the area, and stalls along the MaDang Road.

A lot of things changed during COVID-19 Pandemic, but not the extraordinary service provided by Heping Fandian's team! Heping Hotel has been my favorite hotel in China since 2018. I met Zoey, their talented and excellent front desk operator who helped me a lot during my stay. China is changing rapidly since last I was there. Zoey was kind and informative. She made my visit in China much more easier. The room she gave me have impeccable street view. It always makes me want to extend my stay.

The view you see is during the cruise is amazing. However to get this view we had to upgrade to the VIP tickets on the boat, which puts you at the front of the boat. That gives unobstructed views. Important to note though that people are allowed to smoke on the boat and they do. The volume of people pushing in the lines to get to the boat, on the stairs and at the top of the boat was troubling to us, noting this might not be an issue for others. We think it is a must do whilst in Shanghai and upgrading to the VIP is important if you want space, an outside view and not be pushed as much.

Must see visit. This museum is the result of the work of a single man who collected these original posters. These are witnesses of times gone but give a glimpse of times gone by.

The museum is small but has a good sample of what was used at the time to manipulate the people. Since this museum is the initiative of one single, very nice, man, one should visit it as long as it lasts. Fortunately he produced several booklets with photos of these posters.

The place is not easy to find as inside a big building but with some patience one can get there.
