As 用法一、 當…時(兩件事同時發生)
ex. I watched her as she opened the door.
當她打開門時我看著她。
ex. Turn off the lights as you go out.
你出去的時候把燈關上。
ex. John arrived just as I left.
我離開的時候John正好抵達。
ex. I had to leave just as the conversation was getting interesting.
就在話題變得有趣的時候，我必須離開了。
As 用法二、 因為…
ex. As I was feeling tired, I went to bed early.
因為我覺得很累，早早就上床睡覺了。
ex. As they live near us, we see them quite often.
As 用法三、身為…/作為…
ex. A few years ago I worked as a teacher.
幾年前我的職業是一名老師。
ex. We use the garage as a workshop.
我們把倉庫當作工作室使用。
As 用法四、 像是…
ex. Kelly sounds as if she is got a cold.
Kelly的聲音聽起來像是她感冒了。
ex. The house looked as if nobody lived in it.
這房子看起來像是沒有人住在裡面。
ex. He ran as if he were running for his life.
他跑得彷彿是在為自己的生命而奔馳。
