I live in London and have the Historical Palaces Pass so I may have the pleasure of visiting the Tower and other palaces at my leisure. The Tower is closest to me, so I do visit often. I enjoy the grounds and the history. I love listening to the tourists as they speak of the history they are learning .. because of this, each visit is so different.
A must visit for every visitor to England. Highly recommend the Historical Palaces Pass.

Get tickets to the Life in the Roman Army exhibit!! I wrote a term paper on the Roman Army over 40 years ago (feels like it was closer to when they were actually around!). In the decades since, I've been a closet fan. This was the first time I got to see this exquisite of a collection of authentic equipment. The exhibits were well thought thru and highly recommended. By the time we got finished and went into the museum proper, we were shocked by the transformation from well managed flow to insane crowds. After less than an hour of finishing the show, we were gone. Couldn't handle the hordes. If you have the time, and the patience, this is a phenomenal museum full of priceless art & artifacts.

It's a giant, fast-moving observation wheel, so we got a 360-degree perspective of London that changed with every second. We spotted tons of famous landmarks and even caught a glimpse of Buckingham Palace. If you want a breezy and unique way to check out the city, the London Eye is a great way to spend an afternoon.

We visited on a very wet day recently and enjoyed visiting all the indoors parts of the castle. As it was so wet we never waited in the queue for the jewels but enjoyed a nose around the war memorial, St Margaret's chapel the museum and the great hall. While it was brilliant to have a look around there wasn't any seating available in the cafe which was a bit disappointing so we went elsewhere for food.

We were in London for a few days and tower bridge was close to our hotel. It’s a good attraction if you only have an hour or so to spare. Reasonable price for London attractions. Great view from the viewing platforms with glass floors to see the road and river below. Lift available to the top and a good few facts to read as you walk around. Worth a visit.

I liked the museum, but after so many of the same scenes, the paintings just blended into one another. It wasn’t what I was expecting. I guess I’m not really into that kind of art.

On the flip side, I was in awe while looking at one of the original Van Gogh’s Sunflowers and Monet’s Water Lillies. I enjoyed the more modern art and while there were only a few of these pieces compared to the classical art, these paintings made the trip worth it.

The museum is beautiful and Trafalgar Square is a great place to watch people.

We had a good time at the museum but my one big bit of advice is don’t take children that are too young or just take them to the dinosaur bit and don’t expect them to go to the rest of it. This time ours are aged 12 and 9 and even then they lose interest after a few hours.

I would also suggest taking your own food in and heading to the picnic area as the food we got in one of the restaurants was awful! The kids rolls were hard with hardly any butter the quiche was cold and tasteless and the wedges were cold too and it set us back £40.

My favourite museum in the world.

My wife and I spent three hours in here doing our own thing given we have different areas of interest. We could probably spend another three hours there to get complete coverage.

Something for everyone. Lots of photo ops.

    And it's all free.

Highly recommended for those who like decorative arts, and history.

The tour through the yacht was quite an experience! The place is stunning. We enjoyed the tea experience on the upper deck.

Took a jaunt here from where I was staying in Leith and is an absolute must when in Edinburgh! Best enjoyed on a typically-Scottish windy day to blow the cobwebs away!

We enjoyed our time greatly at the Churchill war rooms. The audio guide was a little confusing to figure out when we got into the museum part, but once we got back into the bunkers it worked great. Lots of interesting history about this time period and Churchill himself. I would recommend reading the book “The Splendid and the Vile” before going as it gives a lot of background to this place.
