I live in London and have the Historical Palaces Pass so I may have the pleasure of visiting the Tower and other palaces at my leisure. The Tower is closest to me, so I do visit often. I enjoy the grounds and the history. I love listening to the tourists as they speak of the history they are learning .. because of this, each visit is so different.
A must visit for every visitor to England. Highly recommend the Historical Palaces Pass.

Get tickets to the Life in the Roman Army exhibit!! I wrote a term paper on the Roman Army over 40 years ago (feels like it was closer to when they were actually around!). In the decades since, I've been a closet fan. This was the first time I got to see this exquisite of a collection of authentic equipment. The exhibits were well thought thru and highly recommended. By the time we got finished and went into the museum proper, we were shocked by the transformation from well managed flow to insane crowds. After less than an hour of finishing the show, we were gone. Couldn't handle the hordes. If you have the time, and the patience, this is a phenomenal museum full of priceless art & artifacts.

It's a giant, fast-moving observation wheel, so we got a 360-degree perspective of London that changed with every second. We spotted tons of famous landmarks and even caught a glimpse of Buckingham Palace. If you want a breezy and unique way to check out the city, the London Eye is a great way to spend an afternoon.

We were in London for a few days and tower bridge was close to our hotel. It’s a good attraction if you only have an hour or so to spare. Reasonable price for London attractions. Great view from the viewing platforms with glass floors to see the road and river below. Lift available to the top and a good few facts to read as you walk around. Worth a visit.

I have been coming to London for very many decades but never took the time to come and explore the National Gallery. Finally, I had a spare Sunday , so took the chance to correct this sad omission on my part. The Sunday in question was the one when the Chinese New Year was being celebrated in early February. I was a bit put of by the longish queue waiting to get in to this marvelous building. But I didn't need to worry. The queue moved quickly and, having passed airport style security, I was in! And then it hit me. What a place! Where to start? I decided to simply wander around hoping to see works from Leonardo Da Vinci, Titian, Van Gogh to name but just a few. I wasn't to be disappointed.

This place is huge and swallowed up all the people visiting it. I had no problems in simply sitting in front of some of my favourites and contemplating on the artistic marvels of talented people gone many centuries ago.

I could have stayed longer - possibly enjoying a cup of tea and cakes in the cafeteria but I had to move on and out. But I'll be back later in the year - hopefully with a better plan on what to see.

We had a good time at the museum but my one big bit of advice is don’t take children that are too young or just take them to the dinosaur bit and don’t expect them to go to the rest of it. This time ours are aged 12 and 9 and even then they lose interest after a few hours.

I would also suggest taking your own food in and heading to the picnic area as the food we got in one of the restaurants was awful! The kids rolls were hard with hardly any butter the quiche was cold and tasteless and the wedges were cold too and it set us back £40.

My favourite museum in the world.

My wife and I spent three hours in here doing our own thing given we have different areas of interest. We could probably spend another three hours there to get complete coverage.

Something for everyone. Lots of photo ops.

    And it's all free.

Highly recommended for those who like decorative arts, and history.

Really interesting place to visit, amazing to see the baths and the roman artifacts - there are lots of information boards, but the audio tour (included in price) is brilliant and helped us understand more and keep my 12 year old son engaged as we went around. There is timed entry to try and keep numbers under control, but the first indoor section was really crowded and difficult to see anything, so could do with limiting large groups or numbers a bit more as that was frustrating. However, everything was really well done, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We enjoyed our time greatly at the Churchill war rooms. The audio guide was a little confusing to figure out when we got into the museum part, but once we got back into the bunkers it worked great. Lots of interesting history about this time period and Churchill himself. I would recommend reading the book “The Splendid and the Vile” before going as it gives a lot of background to this place.

Definitely a must visit while in London. All the stone tombs made it seem a little chilling, but then seeing the tombs of kings you only read about in history books was kind of cool. It didn’t have the worshipful ambience of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and I can’t imagine actually going to church there, but it was wonderful to tour. Don’t miss the coronation chair at the very end like we did! We obviously weren’t paying attention to our map. We did the queen’s galleries and it was nice but nothing spectacular. If you use their gallery guide it’s more interesting. The audio guide worked great for us.

This market is amazing! You could easily spend a whole day here. So many food stalls it's ALMOST overwhelming. They definitely have something for every appetite. And so many awesome vendors selling every item imaginable. If you're into vintage items this would be right up your alley. Overall the market is a vibe and worth checking out if you're in London. I cannot wait to return!

Spent a couple of hours with William guiding us about the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace. He did an amazing job sharing the details and history of the Palace and her grand rooms. I have to say that I was captivated by her elegance. Each room had its own signature. I know I have a favorite room which will your’s be? I won’t give it all away but there are many thrones inside that are each unique to their Monarch! Lastly the Palace Staff were very patient and kind given that I fumbled my reservation. They took the time to help me get it sorted. Thank you for a lovely experience! 💂🏰🇬🇧
