英國的簽證政策是英國政府決定某外國人能否以進入大不列顛及北愛爾蘭聯合王國本土的政策。根據這一政策，對前往英國或者根西島、澤西島和曼島等王室屬地的訪客以及那些尋求在那裏工作、學習或居住的人進行簽證要求。除了被豁免以外，所有打算進入的人士都必須申請簽證。
英國實行自主的簽證政策，並與愛爾蘭、海峽群島和曼島實施共同旅行區。[1]英國海外領土一般都實行不同的簽證政策。
英國在2020年1月31日之前是歐盟成員國，歐盟/歐洲經濟區/瑞士公民在2020年12月31日過渡期結束之前享有前往英國的自由。

根據訪客規定，英國國民和來自87個國家和地區的人士可以免簽證在英國停留不超過6個月（如果從愛爾蘭入境，則為3個月）。[4][5][6]

英國移民官員對來自共同旅行區以外的免簽證入境時，要對護照持有人的入境許可進行可信度評估。如果獲准入境，會在訪客的護照（不包括七個國家）上蓋章，上面寫着 "入境許可六個月：禁止就業和求助於公共資金"。如果使用使用電子護照閘門入境的話，一般不會在護照上蓋章。[15][16]
自2019年5月20日起，澳大利亞、加拿大、日本、新西蘭、新加坡、韓國和美國公民上述最常見的入境形式，無論他們是使用電子護照閘門，亦或者是使用有工作人員的通道，一般都不會在護照上蓋章。[17][18]他們中的三類申請人必須去有工作人員的通道，這種情況下會在護照上蓋章：短期學生（最長6個月）；[19]批准的有償工作；[20]持有Tier 5（臨時工人-創意和體育）贊助證明（最長3個月）；[21]或陪同或加入歐盟/歐洲經濟區/瑞士公民的家庭成員（他們的護照入境許可中會提到這種情況）。[22][23]
允許英國邊防部隊官員通過傳真或電子郵件准許入境，而不是在護照上蓋章。 他們也可以口頭（包括通過電話）向免簽證入境護照的持有人以訪客身份停留長達 6 個月。[24]
在某些通用航空航班的情況下，旅客有時可能無須在抵達時接受英國邊防部隊的檢查（取決於根據旅客事先通過通用航空報告（GAR）表格提交的風險評估），而可能被 "遠程放行"。在這種情況下入境並不會在護照上蓋章。[25]
所有從愛爾蘭（共同旅行區的一部分）直接抵達英國的人，在抵達英國時不需要接受英國邊防部隊的例行檢查。根據《1972年移民（經愛爾蘭共和國入境控制）法令》，免簽證入境的護照持有人自動被視為獲得3個月的入境許可，但在此期間不允許從事有報酬的工作。[26]在這種情況下，進入英國時無須在護照上蓋章。[27]
同樣，所有在英國和海峽群島以及曼島（共同旅行區的一部分）之間旅行的人都不需要接受例行的移民檢查，也不需要在護照上蓋章（儘管有時海關會對在英國和海峽群島之間旅行的乘客進行檢查，因為它們是獨立的關稅區）。根據《1971年移民法令》附表4，英國王室屬地給予的任何入境許可，其效力如同英國給予的入境許可（反之亦然），條件相同，期限相同。[28][29]
所有從愛爾蘭直接抵達王室屬地（海峽群島和曼島）的訪客（即來自共同旅行區的訪客）都不需要接受例行的移民檢查，也無須在抵達時在護照上蓋章。免簽證入境的護照持有人自動被視為獲得3個月的入境許可，但在此期間不允許從事有報酬的工作。[30][31][32]

| 為了符合免簽證入境的資格，愛爾蘭簽證的申請人必須在印度或中國的英國/愛爾蘭簽證申請中心申請，[40][41]並在抵達英國之前首先在愛爾蘭辦理相關手續。持有愛爾蘭簽發的BIVS簽證的人只允許從愛爾蘭直接前往英國，而不能從其他國家前往，除非在前往愛爾蘭的途中在英國過境。在英國的停留時間不超過目前在愛爾蘭的居留許可的剩餘有效期。[39]如果通過英國轉機前往愛爾蘭，並且不晚於其抵達英國的第二天23:59抵達愛爾蘭，則不需要英國過境簽證。[40]

根據英國的規定，通過英國過境有兩種方式 — 空路過境和陸路過境。[132][133][134]自2014年12月1日起，廢除原先豁免簽證過境的規定，並由新的英國過境規則取代。[135][136]即使是來自 "直接空路過境免簽證國家"的人，如果從英國過境到包括愛爾蘭在內的共同旅行區，也需要申請過境簽證。

- 過境訪客簽證豁免文件
豁免適用於以下旅客：
- 乘飛機抵達和離開，且
- 續程航班必須得到確認，並且必須在次日 23:59 前起飛且
- 有適當的目的地文件（包括必要時有目的地國家的簽證），且
- 符合以下任意一個條件：
- 持有澳大利亞、加拿大、新西蘭或美國的有效入境簽證，以及經英國作為往返這些國家之一的有效機票，或
- 持有有效的機票，作為從澳大利亞、加拿大、新西蘭或美國出發的合理旅程的一部分，如果他們在最後一次進入澳大利亞、加拿大、新西蘭之日後不超過 6 個月過境英國持有該國有效入境簽證的新西蘭或美國；or
- 持有有效的澳大利亞或新西蘭居留簽證；或
- 持有2002年6月28日或之後簽發的有效加拿大永久居民卡； 或
- 持有歐洲經濟區國家根據理事會條例（EC）1030/2002頒發的有效統一格式居留證；或
- 持有有效的愛爾蘭生物識別簽證（BC或BC BIVS）；或
- 持有進入歐洲經濟區（EEA）國家的有效統一格式的D類簽證；或

電子簽證不能用於陸路過境，如澳大利亞定期發放的電子簽證或電子居留證。
需要入境簽證[編輯]
前往英國、海峽群島或萌島的訪客，如果不符合上述的簽證豁免條件，就必須提前申請簽證。
所有訪客必須通過註冊一個在線賬戶進行申請（朝鮮公民除外，他們必須親自到英國大使館申請），填寫申請表，支付費用，併到簽證申請中心進行預約。[137]
單次逗留或多次逗留不超過6個月的訪客簽證費用為95英鎊。有效期為2年的多次入境訪客簽證費用為361英鎊，5年為655英鎊，10年為822英鎊。[138][139]中國公民申請兩年多次入境訪客簽證費用為95英鎊。[140][141]
歐盟、歐洲經濟區和瑞士公民的家庭成員如果不在上述簽證豁免範圍內，可以免費申請歐洲經濟區家庭許可（而不是簽證）。[142]
申請大多數類型的英國簽證（包括訪問簽證和歐洲經濟區家庭許可）的訪客需要提交生物識別資料（所有指紋和數字面部圖像），作為簽證申請的一部分。[143]然而，外交官、外國政府部長和官員以及英聯邦部隊成員可免於提交生物識別碼的要求。對於已經獲發英國簽證的申請人，在換發新護照後可以申請將其簽證從舊護照轉移到新護照上，不需要重新提交生物識別資料。[144]此外，不經過英國或萌島而直接前往海峽群島或直布羅陀的申請人可免於提供生物識別信息。[145]在採集兒童的生物識別碼時，必須有成人陪同。生物識別器可能會與外國政府共享。在採集申請熱播的指紋和數字面部圖像的10年後，生物識別資料將被銷毀。[146]
大多數簽證申請都會在3周內作出決定。[139]
居住在以下國家和地區的申請人，如果希望在英國停留6個月或更長時間，需要在申請簽證時提交結核病檢測結果。[147]
如果舊護照上的英國簽證仍有剩餘有效期，在換發新的護照之後，護照持有人無須將舊護照上的英國簽證轉移到新護照上，但在進入英國時必須能夠同時出示新舊護照。[148]
如果貼有英國簽證的護照丟失或者被盜，申請必須再次全額支付簽證費，並可能會在申請替代簽證時要求證明前往英國的目的沒有改變。然而，在申請替代的Tier 4/Tier 2簽證時，不需要新的「學生錄取確認函（CAS）」/「擔保人證明（COS）」。[144]

Since 20 May 2019, the majority of individuals from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and the USA (known as B5JSSK nationals) have been able to use the eGates at UK airports, sea ports and Brussels and Paris Eurostar terminals, to enter the UK. Those individuals wishing to do so must hold a biometric passport. Those individuals not in possession of a biometric passport will be processed by a Border Force Officer at the manned passport control point. They will not have their passports endorsed with a stamp, instead individuals will be informed of their leave and its associated conditions orally by a Border Force Officer.
