2002年，艾希莉在芝加哥遭逮捕，被控妨礙警察[46]。那天晚上她正要離開分區街（英語：Division Street）一家酒吧的時候，朋友約翰·考倫蒂斯（John Kaulentis）和警察口角，朝對方扔了一罐汽水，當時這位警察要他遠離阻止酒吧客人走到街道上的護欄[46]。後來衝突升級，導致另一位朋友凱利·多諾霍（Kelly Donohoe）一位警察[46]。就在考倫蒂斯和多諾霍被抓去的拘留時候，艾希莉因所謂的「口頭恐嚇」警察被捕[46]。三人最終交擔保金（英語：recognizance）獲釋[46]。
