We were lucky enough to visit during their Cherry Blossom 🌸 festival! There were many acclaimed Ikebana artists setting up displays for the event. The Shrine over takes the plaza area and is flanked by the most marvellous mature (maple?) trees on either side.

This magnificent park is full of lovely mature shade trees, winding paths and an abundance of grass areas to rest, picnic and contemplate life. One of our top sites while visiting Tokyo. Would rival New York's Central Park and Vancouver's Stanley Park.
Follow the paths toward the Meiji Shrine and garden. Delightful!!
When observing it from the TOCHO, it is huge in this mammoth city centre.

Great walk down this street fashion, food, dress ups. Japanese doing it with Joy. I doubt we’d check this area out if we weren’t staying in the neighborhood. Nice architecture and stores and of course, eating establishments.
