Great meal. Four of us went and had a great time. All the meals were wonderful. We reserved a table for the next evening before we left. Deserts were great too. We let them recommend the wine and it was reasonable and very good.

Very crowded so we knew it would be good! There was a line to get in even with a reservation. The lamb meatballs were so good, along with the eggplant parmigiana, pesto pasta etc.

Great dining experience! We had a very accomplished, friendly server, with perfect English. I was thinking of having the ribolleta as a first course (just to try something typical, having read that it was a typical Tuscan dish) and she recommended that I put in some olive oil in it, which made it even better. I also had veal Schnitzel with roasted potatoes, called “Nonna Ines” - the big difference between that and a Wiener Schnitzel is that there are tomatoes on top – and, like Weiner Schnitzel, it was quite thin. We also had a bottle of Chianti, the house wine.

This place will forever be at the top of my list in Florence. Their food is truly to die for and their selection of pastas and dishes is amazing! I went here for a weekend with a friend in March and we shared the truffle burrata and chianti classic! The flavors truly were amazing. Two weeks later I returned on another trip to Florence and was amazed again! It was my first stop when I arrived in Florence! The staff was delightful and the restaurant truly enchants you with the charm of Florence!

This place is perfect for organizing everything, a casual or simple dinner, lunch or event. Any quality is combined in a perfect way there: location, art of cooking, fine cousine, excellent english of staff, prices and on top of everything, italian and Tuscany tradition.

I had made a reservation before we went to Florence after reading reviews and the recommendations to do this. I had reserved for quite an early sitting (7.30pm) as I thought it would be less busy, but we still had to wait for a short while in the 'reservations' queue (there were already two queues waiting to get in when we arrived). After about 5 minutes we were brought in and shown to our table, which was right at the back near the kitchen, tucked away in an alcove. I'm still not sure if this was a good or bad table, as we were away from all the main dining area and right next to the kitchen! We did however have a lovely guy as a waiter, who made a real effort to put some 'heart and soul' into just serving us, and chatted to us about himself and his work there (they serve between 600-700 diners every night!!!). He made some recommendations from the menu and for wine. My partner had parma ham for starter which was very good, and for main course I had their chicken with creamy truffle sauce which was probably the best food I have tasted in - ever! My partner had their steak slices with rosemary roast potatoes which he thought was amazing. Fantastic food, we would go there again, but BOOK in advance!! When we came out the queues were mentally long!

This is a big place - deceiving from the outside. As you enter they take you on a maze through several different rooms to get to yours. I think i went through at least 10. Each room has about 4 or 5 tables, but the decorations are a bit over the top. It was not an intimate experience. A bit noisy, particularly when the host brought other parties through your room to go to another room and it seemed like there was constant traffic of people, waiters and host. I was actually afraid to go to the men's rooms because I would have to ask directions! The food was fine, we ate everything with no complaints. It seemed a bit institutional. I doubt there is a "Nona" making the pasta in the back. I'm not sure why it is so popular (we had no idea it was so large) and I'm not sure you'll miss anything if you don't eat here. If you insist - a better choice is to eat at one of the outdoor rooms which had much less activity. Again, nothing bad - nothing great.

This was amazing, 10/10, the food was delightful. I had the Gorgonzola gnocchi, caprese salad, and an antipasti platter. All of it was fabulous. We finished with dessert and selected the chocolate cake, it was divine. You would want to make a reservation. We had a reservation and had to wait 10-15 min. The like for those without reservations was pretty long. We left the restaurant around 9:30 and there was little to no like at that time.

Please listen to all 1 star reviews and avoid this place. I barely write any reviews but the experience I’ve had was just beyond unacceptable. My husband and I were looking forward trying this famous and historic place but it was the worst experience we’ve had throughout 2 weeks in Italy and just in overall dining out to be honest. I went with their traditional Grilled Sliced Tagliata Steak in medium rare. When my dish was brought the steak was barely grilled and pretty much rare. I’ve addressed that to our waiter and he took the dish to be fixed. When it was brought back, the beef slices were well done and overcooked. The kitchen just grilled those previously rare pieces on its own (instead of grabbing a new steak and cooking it fresh instead), which obviously made the meat taste like rubber and way over done instead of medium. I’ve again addressed this to our waiter asking him to take this back and ordered a pasta instead since my original dish was messed up twice at this point. When they brought the check, restaurant still charged us for the steak and I’ve kindly asked the manager if they could take this dish out since it was purely executed TWICE and never eaten. But that lady manager told me that we have to pay for it anyway and on my question why, she started proving me that the dish was perfect medium and not rare, and that I don’t know what I’m talking about making me look like an ignorant customer or pretty much telling me she knows better. I’ve eaten enough steaks to tell the difference between medium and rare, and since I’m the one who actually tried it (not her) - I kept telling her that it was not the temperature I’ve asked for. However, apparently that place simply doesn’t give a sh*t about either what they customers get and whether they are happy or not. Instead, they assume their customers are like pigs who should and would eat whatever food and be happy. At the end of they day, they refused to take the steak dish out of the check and we ended up paying for it. While we wanted to leave a good tip for our waiter who was great, this experience with a restaurant management just left us with no desire to do so. Pasta Bolognese was way to greasy - felt like a butter sauce than a tomato based one. Side of potatoes were also drained in oil and felt microwaved since some pieces were cold and some warm. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost!!! The worst customer experience and service I’ve ever seen in my life! They are way better places in Florence to actually enjoy your meals at.

Loved this restaurant- we went for lunch one day and got in without any wait. My Rigatoni alla Sorrentina was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so nice and at the end gave us a tour of this stunning restaurant. We couldn’t believe how big it was. There were so many rooms, each with beautiful decorations. Definitely recommend sitting inside if you eat here because it is beautiful! Would definitely go back here if I’m back in Florence.

Although the food we had was tasty, service was extremely slow. Despite booking a table for 8pm, we still had to join a ridiculously long queue and didn’t get seated until 8:30! No apology, money off bill or any gesture at all. For this reason I would not go back and would recommend you try a different trattoria instead

Everything is excellent; the decor, the ambiance, the food, the service and the price is not bad either; I look forward to the panna cotta and the Expresso afterwards

The four of us thought the restaurant decor was a throw back to another time in a good way. It was a must to have reservations even at noon. I ordered the sea bass which came in a fabulously delicious sauce. My husband and daughter thoroughly enjoyed their pastas. My son ordered the Florentine steak and tried to finish it but it was just too much. He thought it was delicious. It was a memorable meal with such fantastic dishes, attentive service and then it became much more memorable!! In came at least 30 men dressed in red capes, red tights, horns, angel wings and angel halos and paraded right by our table to a private room next to us. Our daughter said it was an Italian stag party! Highly recommend dining here and hope it’s just as entertaining!!
