There were 15 of us, expensive high end dinner with Abalone, lobster etc hosted by brother inlaw..this a large chain, they have restaurants all over Hong Kong, this should be in CNT tower But the bloody air conditioning was in full in January at night, we asked the wait staff to turn it down, the F...answer was it will warm up once it get busier..and it didnt. I would have left - didnt want to embarrass our host, terrible, otherwise was good food,

Recommended this restaurant and was not impressed. The dim sum are nice but some of the other dishes were just poor. Would I be rushing back here to eat? No We were told the staff spoke English fluently but in reality only one or two could communicate in English We complained that the chicken dish did not look well cooked and they took it away and brought it back and it did not make much difference Plenty of seafood options

We chose this restaurant for a family gathering due to the convenience location. All the dishes is edible but nothing worth mentioned. Staffs just doing their job and nothing more, so you needed to flag them down whenever you want something.

My Hong Kong friends took me to this place for dim sum. We arrived just before 1 pm on a Monday. It was crowded and we had a short wait to get a table for the 4 of us. We ordered by marking the menu sheet for the dishes that we wanted. Food came quite fast and service was good for Hong Kong. We had 11 dishes and they were all tasty. Total cost of the 11 dishes was HK$396. Credit cards are accepted.

Can’t say anything abou the food. We waited for an hour and never got it. Service was horrible! When we asked the waitress about our order she just pretended to be surprised...

Was recommended by the hotel staff to this place for dim sum, Tsim Sha Tsui, Minden Row, 3號地下 Star Mansion. Interior looks clean and modern. Service was below expectation, food wise, there are better places to go too. Will not be back again if I am visiting HK.

Went for an early yum cha after seeing my doctor as it is close by. Ordered 7 dishes for the two of us. Most of the food taste ok but 5 out of the 7 dishes are cold. The only warm dishes we have is the congee and the BBQ Bun. You also have to help yourself for any condiment.

Located up on the second floor, this busy restaurant has great dim sum. There is an English menu so it’s easy to just check off what you want. The service is very typical of a busy Chinese restaurant which is practical but not very attentive to your needs. You have to flag down a server and grab their attention, otherwise you could end up sitting around and waiting. It may sound odd to Westerners but quite typical of these kind of establishments. However, the food is very good and the prices very reasonable. So just do as the Chinese do and enjoy the experience with family or friends.

After shopping in Causeway Bay we set off to find this restaurant for a dim sum lunch. We were so disappointed. The service is very slow with one of our items never appearing. The experience was ok. Not much English is spoke which is to be expected in many places. We had already visited One Dim Sum in Kowloon which was such a better experience with tastier food and far better service.

Authentic HK dim sum restaurant setting. The restaurant was full when I reached there at 9am plus on Sunday morning but I managed to get a table for 4 quickly. It was interesting to see how the Hongkonger would yum cha on a typical morning. Do not accept food service from a HK regular restaurant. The service at 稻香 was fast, a matter-of-factly, no friendly service with a tad impatient when I could not decide on what dishes and how many dishes to order but the service was definitely not rude. It was a pleasant dining experience. The dim sum may not have the finesse of Fook Lam Restaurant at Tsim Sha Tsui; but for the price I paid at S$10 per pax, I am highly satisfied. There are recommended dishes at the top of the menu to guide us on what to order, and I think it helps. To me, the food is delicious with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The standard Har Gao and Siew Mai are yummy and very fresh. One of my favourites is the steamed rice with fish and salted fish in a metal bowl. I will make it a point to dine at 稻香 whenever I go to HK. Don’t miss dining at 稻香!

This place has a wide selection of dim sims, most of which were quite nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere welcoming. The prices were very reasonable. We visited this restaurant twice.

This resto was just in front of the Star Mansion apartelle that we stayed a few nights in. We would walk past it, wondering why it was always crowded, until we had dinner there. There was a waiting line and we were 14th in turn to be seated. Very few of the waiters speak English, but when we finally found one and the food came, it was worth the hassle and the wait. Really scrumptious. One lady customer from Shanghai said it was famous in her home city, and she never failed to dine in it when in Hongkong. We decided to return the following night. Again, language proved to be a barrier, but we looked for this tall waiter who we knew spoke some English, and my uncle called out to him, calling him "Ming" - because he reminded us of basketball superstar Yao Ming. It turned out to be an almost sound-alike of his real name, Lim. And thus another night of delicious dining ensued. We so loved their sticky rice dish we ordered it for take home to family in our country. "Good things come to those who wait."

This restaurant is near my hotel and recommended by our front counter staff who said they would go there as local when I asked for a recommendation of a local ‘yum cha’ place. I went to Yum Cha, a modern dim sum restaurant and dim dim sum, a small local but highly recommended restaurant earlier in HK. Went to Tao Heung on a Sunday for lunch. Very crowded and full of locals. It’s a big Chinese restaurant. Many locals were having their family lunch and food menu were extensive besides the dim sum. We had to share table which is common in HK. Food was authentic. We like the pig stomach soup, hot and spicy. And the rest of the food were tasty. However, I must say dim dim sum food taste better but they can’t cater to big group and offer the same big group family dinning experience as Tao Heung. Different experience altogether. Yum Cha caters to a totally different crowd.

We were referred here by a friend who said it was an authentic dim sum restaurant. When we got there they showed us to a table and put some picture cards and a list of dim sum but weren’t given any writing implements. We saw carts being pushed around but nobody come by. We were not given water, napkins or even dipping sauces. We didn’t see water or napkins on ny other table either and people just wiping their faces on the tablecloths. We finally realized we had to fill out the card which we did. The first three dishes came out cold. Some dishes were mushy (I’ve had better in San Jose California) and other hole in the wall restaurants in HK. We were finally told we had to get our own dipping sauces. We had to use the tablecloth as napkins as we saw others do. The place is nicely decorated but the food and service are awful. My friend, who referred us here, speaks Chinese. Perhaps that’s the difference but I learned his wife and friend didn’t enjoy their meal here either.

Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
