- ro13Hubertus, WI1,610 contributionsThis place is a must stop if in the area. You get some free samples on a quick tour which are very tasty. Staff is friendly and they have a nice gift store. Highly recommend.Written April 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bunk34779 contributionsOnly open Saturday 8 to 1 but well worth a visit. In addition to things I mentioned in title there are food trucks, crafters and local artists selling their wares. It was fun to walk around and sample and buy some of the offerings. We especially liked the Greek food, mousaka, baklava and spanakopata as well as the guacamole being made as you watch. It is pretty much cash only so be prepared. Prices are reasonable.Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joy D4 contributionsCape Coral is close enough to beaches, south enough to be warm in March & more affordable to stay than Ft Meyers or Marco IslandWritten March 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ward DSatellite Beach, FL2,854 contributionsThe Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, at 365 acres, is the second-largest preserved green space in Cape Coral. It is located just north of Veteran's Parkway. It does not have access directly off the Veterans Memorial Parkway. You can get to it by driving to Del Prado and then backtracking to the Memorials. There seems to be a fair amount of parking along the entrance road. The Four Mile Cove / “Eco Park” is a brackish water wetland area with a walking trail, visitor center, and Veterans Memorial Area. On the south side of the parking lot is the Veterans Memorial Area, which includes several memorials designed to recognize and honor those who have served our country through the U.S. armed services. Visitors can walk through the preserve on a nice boardwalk. The trails lead to a fishing pier and another place onto the river. Their website states, “ This is a nature preserve; therefore, dogs are prohibited on the trails, jogging, skateboarding, biking, skating, or rollerblading. The walking trails and access to the Veterans Memorial Area are available year-round.” Overall, it is a very nice place to enjoy the local greenery along a pleasant covered boardwalk trail through the wetlands.Written April 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bunk34779 contributionsIf you are interested in the history of Cape Coral this is a good place to learn. The center offers a tour and video which gives a very concise overview of how Cape Coral came to be. It is free, donation is very appreciated, and takes about an hour or so.Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Don SLand O Lakes, FL5 contributionsMy family rented a boat in the area and we came to dinner at rum runners. We wanted to get gas for the boat. The folks at the marina were very helpful and really went above and beyond as far as being helpful and professional.Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SambaSanibel Island, FL463 contributionsWe had never been to the park but we were happy to find it after seeing the Burrowing Owls nearby.
Although E-bird had reported many species of birds in the park just the day before, there were few around today.
The only one I saw and got a photo off was this lovely Mourning Dove.
But the park is pretty and well kept. And hope springs eternal so we will return and maybe the birds will , too.Written April 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - _SLH138_Minneapolis, MN150 contributionsThis is a peaceful park with a nice view of the mangroves and a couple of docks where one could likely see manatees. (We did not.) Parking is free and there is a brand-new restroom building and a water-bottle filler station.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nichole G1 contributionI really want to give this waterpark 2 stars, but my kids had a good time, so I'll give it 3. I'll start with good, we did not have a problem finding floats for the slides. The lines moved quickly even though it was busy, and the lifeguards seemed to be doing a good job. There is also a police officer on duty. However, it would not be a stretch to call this place a teenage daycare center. It's obvious that this is a popular location for parents to either drop their teenaged kids off or let them walk/bike alone. If they knew how to behave, it would be fine. Unfortunately, it seems that the majority have not been taught how to use decent language or just be generally considerate of others. I was constantly moving my younger children away from groups of teenagers who were either being way too rough (running and kicking and punching at each other) or who think every other word out of their filthy mouths should start with f. So, the gist is that it is fun, but I wouldn't necessarily call it family friendly.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
