Cream Per g Fluocortolone pivalate 1 mg, lignocaine HCl 20 mg. Supp Fluocortolone pivalate 1 mg, lignocaine HCl 40 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of pain & inflammation in adults for haemorrhoidal disease, non-infectious proctitis & anal eczema (for cream).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administer after defaecation. Thoroughly clean anal region prior to use. Max total duration of treatment: 2 wk. Cream Finger-tip unit of rectal cream applied bd, once in the morning, once in the evening (approx up to 1 g cream per application). In the initial days, can be applied tds. Upon symptoms improvement, a single daily application is often sufficient. Supp 1 supp inserted deep into the anus bd, once in the morning, once in the evening.
Overdosage

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Topical infection in the affected area. Symptoms of the following disorders in the affected area: Specific skin lesions (syphilis, TB), chickenpox, vaccination reactions, herpes genitalis.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy & lactation. Should not be applied during 1st trimester of pregnancy. Not recommended for use in childn <18 yr. Lignocaine: Patients taking medicines for arrhythmia. Cream Excipients paraffin & soft paraffin may reduce the strength of latex condoms concomitantly used. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Use of application nozzle provided may cause +ve results during testing for doping. Contains cetostearyl alcohol.

Adverse Reactions
Application site burning; irritation. Allergic skin reactions.
Drug Interactions
Potential increased risk of systemic side effects w/ CYP3A4 inhibitors.
