- Soudamini MohapatraBengaluru, India115 contributionsGyeongbokgung is the largest and most well known palace in Seoul built in 1395 by the Joseon dynasty. It was destroyed many times, then rebuilt adding new structures. The palace has several quarters and need 4-5 hours to cover the whole place. The best part of touring the palace is watching the guard changing ceremony, which happens at 10 AM and 2 PM every day. Make sure to be there atleast 30 min before as it's extremely crowded. The palace is closed on Mondays. It's a must visit place in Seoul.Written April 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates5,977 contributionsThis is a very well stocked and poignant museum recording conflict on the Korean peninsula down the geared, with a focus on the Korean War of the 1950s.
There is an impressive collection of military hardware, including planes, tanks and helicopters as well as a multitude of displays charting the history of the war and its participants. There are also a number of short films about the war.
The footprint is huge and you need a couple of hours to do it justice.Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Excellent location to try on cosmetics and find fantastic offers and savings.
This location comes alive in the nights and has a great selection of street food alternatives that you should definitely try.
Additionally, there is a decent underground market located here.
The greatest thing is that since the office is situated within BOOTS Pharmacy on this prominent street, you can get your tax-free returns right here.Written April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jojoquintoskSiem Reap, Cambodia18 contributionsThe Seoul Tower looks magnificent against a backdrop of trees. There is an area where all the railings are filled with padlocks left by people from all over the world. Before reaching the tower, there is a place like a plaza, where you can enjoy the view and the fresh air. When you enter the lobby, look for a little nook with stripped green light. It's a good area for a photo shoot. At the top, you will find a gift shop with beautiful items. I found the best magnets there. Of course there are telescopes around the place. I was amazed reading how far, & in what direction, other countries are, from where the tower is. If you have been to higher towers, you may be disappointed. Bit, try to enjoy it anyway. Food outlets are a plenty. You can have your meal at the very top, if you have reservation. At around 3:00 pm, they have a program at the plaza area. It's really nice to just walk around; enjoy the view; savor the breeze & fresh air.Written March 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Soudamini MohapatraBengaluru, India115 contributionsThe palace was built 15th century, which is one of Seoul's 'five grand palaces'. It was. It was used as the royal residence for many kings and their families. The oldest surviving structure in the palace complex is the Okcheongyo stone bridge, built in 1483 ahead of the front gate. There is a stone turtle under the bridge. Changgyeonggung was destroyed twice and has been rebuilt. There is a secret garden too, for which additional ticket has to be purchased. Wonderful must visit place in Seoul.Written April 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chau T3 contributionsThanks Bobby! Even though there was some hiccups with tour members not of your fault you'd dealt with it swiftly and well. The group was appreciative with all that you've done and you deserve a raise. Amen.Written April 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
