This was dubbed as the most popular shopping street but we were so disappointed when we got here. It's a huge and wide street but so empty with no street activities. There used to be a street market or sorts but it is cleared now, in place is a small food court that has some street food options that didn't really piqued our interests. They are all international brands here, price-wise they are not any cheaper than our home country. We entered some malls and they are quite empty as well, and shops are mostly closed by 930pm. A disappointing visit that we will not recommend and be back for.

Overall, I don’t think that there is anything particularly special about this street.

One can find all the brands, as well as many shopping malls within.

I wouldn’t say that this is an absolute must - if you are stressed for time, don’t put it at the top of your list, as the food mall is currently closed. Otherwise, if you have the time, it is accessible from the Forbidden City.

After our Forbidden City tour, we took the Wangfujing exit. We had our lunch at Beijing Pie restaurant. It was really cozy and affordable restaurant. We love the meat pie and jajang noodles.

On our way to the subway, there are a lot of hutongs and souvenir shops along the way.

I highly recommend a visit to Wangfujing for food trip after your Forbidden city tour.

Although one of the most famous shopping streets in Beijing, we were not that impressed with Wangfujing street. Compared to similar places in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, etc. this scores less in terms of charm and content.

An ok place, depending on what you are after. Full shopping centres with lots of big brands, some Chinese tea shops. An amazing foreign bookstore - probably the best part of the street! Nice to spend an afternoon on this street walking round, but a bit too western for me!

I come here mainly to enjoy the walk, do a little shopping, and duck into a mall at the southerly end of the street. Of the street’s 1.5 kilometre length, about half is a pedestrians only section, although there are some service vehicles and the like which drive at low speeds. On this walk, I especially liked the cow statues in about the middle section of the pedestrian street.

A portion of this wide street is a pedestrian shopping street, albeit, there are a few service vehicles which use the street. It is an interesting mix of retailers, but not any evident theme which brings them together. I walked it more out of interest, than A desire to shop here.

Lots to see and okay for shopping. Many people walking the street for their weekend outing. I most loved the statues of the five bulls, and the display of very insightful photographs which take one through some of the significant developments in China over the past 50 years. Most of my attached photos are of the photos displayed on Wangfujing Street.

The street has a mix of everyday and higher-end Chinese and foreign brands/retailers, souvenir shops, as well as fast food eateries, restaurants, cafés and more. One this visit, I bought a few scarves, as they are light and take little space in my luggage, as I continue my travels. The most interesting street to many tourists is a side street known as the Donghuamen Market, where all types of exotic and unusual foods/snacks are sold for on the spot freshly cooked, roasted or deep-fried scorpions, lizards, crabs, silkworms, baby ducks, crickets, centipedes, and more.

We had an enjoyable evening walking, shopping and dining in the Wangfujing Street area. There is always something new to see. For diner we had Cantonese dim sum at Fuji Tea House.
