Make sure and stop at Zabriskie's point. One night in Death valley is plenty of time. The Fry bread tacos on the Indian reservation are good and cheaper than the food in the lodge.

Yes, anytime you can go that the temps are below 85 you can have a great experience in Death Valley.

Recomendo abastecer o veículo, comprar água e outras compras em Pahrump, que tem preços menores que outras cidades da região(há WalMart). Há cassinos na cidade e escolhemos o hotel Nugget, com preços médios, pistas de boliche para os adultos e arcade para as crianças.

Usually the only snow you'll find in Death Valley area are on the high peaks. Therefore, most of Death Valley roads are accessible during winter months. You will see dessert scenery with snow covered mountains. I highly recommend staying at a hotel inside the park. We are in our 60's and stayed three nights at the Furnace Creek Ranch. Location was awesome! We did not hike, due to extreme heat during our June visit. Everything we visited was on paved roads and an easy walk to view point. Some of our favorite view points were Dante's View, Zabriskie Point, Badwater, Artist Drive, Ubehebe Crater (not to be missed, awesome!), Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Devil's Golf Course, Twenty Mule Team Canyon, Charcoal Kilns (beautiful ride and last 2 miles are on dirt road. No problems driving our car on the dirt road. Don't miss this, the scenery is spectacular). BEWARE - if you plan to visit Racetrace you'll have to rent a jeep near Furnace Creek Ranch. You will not make it with regular car and tires. We did not visit Racetrace.
