東南亞最大的佛寺-中台禪寺
星期天趁著中台禪寺難得開放，前去一遊。
中台禪寺大概是全世界最豪華的私人廟宇，耗資超過47億新台幣，連外牆的石磚都是歐洲進口。
傳統寺廟都是平面佈局的院落式建築，因之稱為「寺院」，而中台禪寺在結構上徹底改變了這種格局，它由一幢主體大廈和若干裙樓組成，主要佛事功能區都集中在主體大廈裡，一層是天王殿和大雄寶殿，五層有大莊嚴殿，九層為大光明殿，十六層是萬佛殿，再往上是藏經閣和「金頂」。這種立體結構決定了這座禪寺的諸多與眾不同之處。
中台禪寺的塔也很不一般。它有一座手工建造的純木結構「藥師七佛塔」，建在十六樓的萬佛殿裡，並且這個殿南北兩面的外牆都是用玻璃幕牆做成的透明牆，站在遠處或一層地面，都能遙望七佛塔。到了夜間，殿內的燈光映著寶塔精美的造型，從玻璃幕牆投射出去，傳遞著神秘和聖潔的氣氛。這兩幅玻璃幕牆呈蓮花瓣造型，寬達16米，高達30米。令人稱奇的是，這麼大的幕牆並沒有框架，其結構原理像網球拍，所有的玻璃都被固定在拉緊的鋼索上。當強風襲來，這面玻璃幕牆會隨著彈性的鋼索發生前後位移，以抵消風壓，位移的最大幅度可達43.9厘米！據介紹，這兩面幕牆由德國建築師建造，是全世界同類幕牆中面積最大、技術最先進的。
中台禪寺2樓以上是禁止拍照的，大多樓層也不開放，能進的去也拍不到照片，例如5樓、9樓、藏經閣和「金頂」等等都十分漂亮，但都進不去。
至於為什麼我會有幾張2樓以上照片，那是趁人不注意時拍的.....
