A visit to Guangzhou is not complete without visiting this tower. It somehow feels like an icon of the city. You would need to see the tower from huacheng instead of going straight to the bottom of the tower. From afar, it looked majestic overlooking the Pearl river. The tower lights up at night which makes it even more outstanding.

It was a very fun experience for our son (3 yrs old).
Very up close and personal with the animals. Enjoyed watching the pandas. Cutest ever alive.

Have some “fake” dinosaurs during the walk which my son enjoyed, since he is a fan of dinosaurs. So it a great combo for him.

Walks were very cooling since it is during winter season.

The only thing I have to comment for a dislike is the tram ride. The exhaust smokes kept coming to us. China is going into EV, perhaps safari can consider changing to EV for their tram ride.

Old historical buildings scattered around the park. There are still people living here which makes the experience an interesting one. Walk further down and we can see pearl river again. There was a lot of Chinese playing musical instruments there when we visited. Not forgetting some cafes scattered around the region and we visited Starbucks, which was located inside a historical building as well. A number of great spots to take some really nice pictures.

A must see attraction and One of top sightseeing place and impressive building, temple built by the 72 clans of family of "Chen" for their junior's accommodation and preparation of imperial exam in the Qing dynasty.

It's a zoo on steriods and coffee.

    It's the Chinese Disneyworld.

Such a unique and wonderful experience. Spent it with my Dad and his friend and his family.

I'll never be able to go to another zoo without feeling disappointed.

Located at Yide Road near the Haizhu Square in the city center, this beautiful over 130-year-old Roman Catholic cathedral is a holy and peaceful site in the bustling and busy urban area. From our hotel at Qiaoguang road, we walked here within 15mins of leisurely paced walk.

The cathedral was nice, aka the Notre Dame of Guangzhou (similarly to that in Ho Chi Minh City) with the same architectural style. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, the Cathedral was closed to the public for some private events and so we could not stand outside to take photos and read the intro from the information plagues.

And along the section of the cathedral was small square with 2 rows of shophouses and cafes and right next was a long stretch of shophouses selling dried foods, toys and stationery which was very crowded, noisy and full of vibes but within the cathedral area, it was quiet and peaceful, what a contrast, all within 100-120m of distance!

We had a great time here. The Museum is well laid out did holds some spectacular exhibits and all of this is free of charge! The highlight is the tomb itself and the burial suit. The main exhibit locations have English explanations but the temporary parts did not. I did find a staff member that speaks English which was helpful. Don’t miss this if you are nearby.

Although this river is over 2,000 km long, the most significant portion of the tourist attraction goes through Guangzhou. A good way of enjoying the river is by going on a night cruise and seeing the views when the city is lit in bright and flashing colors.

We spent New Year’s Day at Baiyun Mountain (which means White Cloud Mountain as it’s wreathed by cloud).

Awesome cable car ride with stunning views, we could have walked!, then a further 2.5 kilometre walk up to the Moxing Summit, the highest peak!

At Moxing Summit peak, sign pointing to the direction of and distance of 1,900 kilometres to Beijing

The view of Guangzhou city was hazy but sunset was still cool!

A large and open park situated right in the middles of skyscraper. If you want to take some nice pictures of Guangzhou tower at night, this is the place to go. I saw many people taking pictures with the majestic Guangzhou tower as the background.
