Hi! I'm a teen travling to Tokyo over the summer, I'm interested in clothing from all aesthetics and plan to spend 3-4 days looking through the popular fashion streets and districts. Can I finish Harajuku in one day? I plan to spent about 8 hours there. Along with other streets such as Aoyama, ikebukuro, shabuya, akihabara, shinjuku.

Thank you!

You can easily finish Harajuku in 8 hours. If you are interested in vintage and secondhand clothing, check out the Shimokitazawa and Koenji neighborhoods.

Harajuku is not like it used to be ten years ago or even five years ago. The main streets have been replaced with more food shops, very ordinary stores and less clothes shops - the vibe has changed a lot. Will you be able to find good items and options, yes. Are there the same cutting edge shops from a few years back, no.

For trendy teen clothes, don't miss Shibuya 109. You can easily combine it with Harajuku.

I have found Harajuku to be a huge disappointment. Maybe it was good in the past, but now it is nothing but a hugely congested tourist trap selling rubbish.
