Nestled close to Orlando's famed theme parks and bustling shopping districts, Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas is lauded for its prime location. Guests have called out the spaciousness and ample amenities of the rooms, although some suggest a touch-up could be in order. While the atmosphere is generally enjoyed, occasional noise and musty odors are mentioned. Despite concerns over value due to high pricing and upselling, the resort's service receives compliments for its attentiveness. The resort's cleanliness and well-maintained pools and grounds are popular among families and couples.

This was our fourth visit to this resort of a period of 12 years and sadly it will be our last. It is apparent that there is a need for a large cash input that needs to be spent on this resort for it ever to resemble and have the status it one time enjoyed.
Our stay was over three weeks so we had plenty of time to review what is going to badly wrong. It started with our entrance to our villa. It was on the top floor (there was no elevator), the stairs were grubby with greasy food papers on them. On entrance to the condo we were greeted by badly stained carpets and stained lounge furniture. The bathrooms appeared clean and stocked with clean towels etc.
The kitchen was on first glance fine but once you started to move items around (toaster, coffee maker)you could clearly see that these had not been moved when the kitchen surfaces had been wiped. Underneath each had the remains of food and dust. There was a request to use separate bags for disposable refuse and recycled which we applauded except the bags for each had not been left. Over our three week stayed we had to continually ask for these bags as they always appeared forgotten. In a cupboard near the washing machine a a long handled stiff brush and dust pan and THIS was the only item used by the housekeeping staff to sweep the carpet for the whole of our stay. The housekeeping staff did not process vacuum cleaners. I believe the biggest problem on this development is the management of the housekeeping staff who seem to have little pride in their work and this shows in the overall grubbiness of the development. Over the three weeks of our stay we did not see any attempt to clean the poolside furniture so most sun beds were greasy and poorly maintained. Being creatures of habit we used arrive early at the pool for a quiet swim and obtain the same sunbathing location. We saw the same grease on the table near the sun beds for the three weeks.
I want to stress we are not people who GO on holiday looking for things that are wrong, on the contrary we could be called easy going and laid back but it is important to us that where we stay is clean and sadly this was far from true in this case. Shortly after leaving this resort I was asked by them for a review and I reported in exactly the same manner. I received a pleasant reply back from them thanking me for my comments but no with no explanations. This is why they have lost their status of a Gold Crown resort. How sad.

We thank you for taking the time to write and share your concerns, feedback and views for the lovely Sheraton Vistana Resort. We are glad you have arrived here safely, we hope to serve you again delightfully. Please accept our humble apologies for not standing taller during your 3 weeks at this family resort. Your comments are valuable as we have taken them very seriously. We ask that you please submit the villa # for immediate inspections and repairs. Please write to me at css@sheratonvistanaresortvillas.com. Please also rest assured that our Teams are diligent, hardworking and efficient, it's regrettable to learn that cleanliness was a major factor. It is our hopes that our Inspection Teams will take responsibility and refresh all the issues in this villa. Our Maintenance Teams will definitely sanitize the sun beds and poolside furniture. This is not the typical service our Teams provide, and we are very sorry for this inconvenience. We hope to deliver and serve you better in the years to come. Wishing you a safe and peaceful week ahead. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Dassie Resort Management Team.

Our two storey building had 4 two-bedroom unites and was quiet and like a residential gaited community. Clean and well landscaped this resort had 7 pools to use as you choose including quitet adult only, huge family zero entry pools with waterfalls, geysers in shallow areas for kids with deeper lap pools for those inclined. Numerous tennis courts and a couple of pickleball courts triggered activities and meeting new people. Marketplace pricing was tourist pricing which we do not support. reasonable pricing is okay but tourist pricing is for those that don't care what they pay.

Restaurants were not spectacular and, in our view, are not the same level as the rest of the resort. Accomodations had everything you need and requests were handled quickly and efficiently. We will return.

On arrival we were surprised that this is a timeshare resort and most people here are owners. Reception send you to “book in” for your “talk”. This can easily be avoided. We have stayed at this resort for two weeks without a car. We have used the hotel taxi service to take us to the supermarkets and restaurants ( outside the resort). The curtesy bus will collect you from your room and deliver you to the pools, gyms or restaurants on site. No public transport in this location but Walgreens, Starbucks and Subway all within walking distance. The gardens and surrounding areas are beautifully maintained.
Our two bedroomed villa was spacious, cleaned daily and had all the cooking facilities one needed as well as a washing machine and dryer. It overlooked a lake containing otters. We sat on the balcony with the g/t watching the sunsets.
With 7 pools you could visit a different one every day. They were never crowded and pool towels were free. The pools remained lovely and warm all day (open until 1am).
The only downsides are as follows:
Food purchased at the Market is limited and expensive.
Food choices in the onsite restaurants tended to be fried, fast food.
Happy hour 1 dollar off both wine and beer. A small glass of wine and half a beer 12 dollars!!
Bicycles, crazy golf and some children’s activities have to be paid for (reduced rates for owners of timeshares)
Transport to theme parks is 10 dollars per person each way.

Would I return? Yes, we have really enjoyed our stay here but next time we would hire a car at Orlando for the length of stay.

DS and I were traveling to Orlando to visit our Dad. I booked a small one bedroom (no balcony) for $112 per night, this was a huge bargain, especially since there were no resort fees or parking fees. This complex is huge. When I checked in I was told we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom with a screened balcony. Staff very pleasant, parking readily available. The unit was huge. Had a washer/dryer, full kitchen, stools, table for 6 couch, chairs, extra bedroom with two double/queen beds and attached bathroom. Master was huge with king bed, soaker jetted tub, walk-in shower and two separate sink/vanities. Starbucks coffee provided along with paper towels, soap, shampoo, and dishwasher soap. We found it odd there was no liquid dishwashing soap for hand wash. Anyway it was a good stay with comfortable beds. The unit was a little dated but clean. The screened patio had a nice lake view with a fountain.

It is our hope that every guest enjoy the accommodation, amenities and service while being our Guest. We are very sorry to learn about your disappoint. The resort supplies dishwashing liquid for your use in the kitchen, bar soap is still being the standard amenity in the villa. Nothing has changed. Looking forward to host you again soon. Thank you for the kind comments, we appreciate your feedback. Sincerely, Dassie Resort Management Team.

Seriously one of the quickest check in experiences from Joshua, which was great. I had my keys in about 3 minutes and had a good stay overall. The villas are not the most updated, but I wouldn’t say they are outdated either. They had nice GE appliances, which was an update since staying early 2019. The room had a few areas that could’ve been cleaner (jacuzzi tub, showers and sheets), but overall for the price paid of $127/night, the generous space, and location right by Disney, I was content with the villa and will be returning in the future. (Also the pool was heated, which wasn’t expected but very much appreciated in January!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location, it was our first time. The 2-bedroom unit was spacious, meticulously clean, with washer/dryer, large showers, comfortable beds, comfortable living room seating, etc. Very friendly staff, we always enjoy saying hello to the cleaning and maintenance staff that cover the grounds. We did have 2 gripes: 1. The kitchen was not supplied well. Not one pan for the oven, not one spatula, no scissors, no coffee filters, bent silverware and a broken pancake turner. I found that pretty surprising and cooking was a complete chore with so little provided. 2. We looked forward to mini golf on the premises but they charged $8 per person to play a very very small course. We did not indulge, that felt like an insult to a paid guest. Shuffleboard was 1 hour free then a charge. That's too bad. Nevertheless, I would indeed stay there again, it was a delightful place and super comfortable.

This resort was wonderful. We stayed in a Cascade villa. It was the perfect set up for my husband, two kids and I. Two bedrooms (one king bedroom and one bedroom that had two full size beds), two bathrooms, full kitchen, family room, dining area and washer and dryer (small, apartment sized, stacked set but they got the job done). Our room was cleaned daily because we chose that over collecting points for this particular stay. They provided dishwasher detergent, trash bags, toilet paper, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap & lotion everyday. The pools on this property were excellent. Every employee we met was very accommodating and kind from the security guards at the gates to the waiters and waitresses at Zimmies (which had a great breakfast by the way). The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The ac kept the temp where it was set but it always felt a little humid. Really great place. We will be back.

This was a last minute reservation, and we were appalled at the high prices for hotel rooms in Orlando, many $500 a night and more, when we found this resort at under $200/ night. And, for that money, we stayed in a modern 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, with a full kitchen, separate dining room and living room, large master bedroom with en suite bathroom, large stall shower and jacuzzi tub, with separate vanity outside the toilet room, each with its own sink. The second bathroom was a full bath as well, and the second bedroom had 2 full beds. There was a screened in porch overlooking a pond, with table and 4 chairs. There was a large flat screen TV opposite the couch in the living room, with a smaller TV in each bedroom.
The resort itself is quite large, with seven pools scattered throughout the property, ranging in size from about 60 feet to estimated 200 feet or more. The property is well maintained, and a pleasure to meander about. There is a single lobby experience, during check-in, but otherwise, there is no need to mingle with crowds, as the different villas have their own separate entrances. The location of the resort was perfect, with no drive longer than 20 minutes, including Disney, Universal, and, yes, Gatorland (highly recommended and a good value.)
As a caveat, there is a wide variety of villas. Initially, we were put on the ground floor of an older unit. After hearing the trampling above us from a huge family, we went right back to reception, and a more experienced front desk person (kudos to Antonio!) put us in a unit in the top floor of a five story elevator building, in the Cascades section. Requesting a unit in the top story of any building is the smart thing to do, with the understanding that most of the buildings are 2 or 3 stories, without elevators.
Staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort was an extremely pleasurable experience, and highly recommended.

We just returned from our vacation. We were supposed to stay 7 nights but ended up only staying 5 nights due to the pandemic. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa in Cascades right across from the pool. The room was pretty clean, but not spotless as I would have expected during these times. I brought my own cleaning supplies, sprays, and disinfectants with me and gave the room a thorough cleaning before we unpacked. There was hair in the shower and on the vent underneath the vanity in the bathroom. The furniture in the living area was dusty, indicating it had not been wiped down. Only two pools were open and they were not spaced for social distancing either. We would go to the pools when they first opened at 9 am and would stay until the crowds arrived. We would also go during the last hour of the day 8:00 - 9:00pm. People are not respectful of staying their distance, which is why we decided to leave early. People also didn't wear masks throughout the property as required by the resort and Orange county.
I've posted a couple pictures of what the pool looked like in the first hour or two of the day.
We were able to enjoy mini golf onsite. The marketplace was also open and we were able to get the kids icecream.
The resort is located near many restaurants, so we had no problems getting takeout for dinner. We are owners at Sheraton Vistana and usually stay at Vistana Villages. We probably won't return until things improve with the pandemic. I thought Marriott cleaning standards were heightened during this time and many people just don't take social distancing seriously.
Still a nice, beautiful resort

Thank you so much for your review. First, I would like to apologize for your vacation being any less than perfect. Due to the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic, our amenities are very limited to ensure we can do the best possible sanitation and disinfecting of all areas on the resort. We are eager to have all pools, bars and activities re-opened and back to business as usual and welcome your family back to the Vistana you know and love!

We stayed at Vistana Resort for two weeks in April. The weather was almost perfect. It just happened to rain on both Sunday's but it wasn't an all day event.

We were in a 1 bedroom premium villa which has a full kitchen with an oven. The smaller 1 bedroom has a cooktop stove. The unit has a washer and dryer which allowed us to pack less clothes for the two weeks. I packed additional washing detergent & fabric softeners and some extra dishwasher tabs and was happy I did that. Paper towels and a couple of Starbucks coffees were provided. Bring coffee filters, not the cone type. Our balcony had a nice view of a pond. Very peaceful.
The main pool was closed and drained and is undergoing resurfacing. As of May 1st, the main pool was still closed but there are so many other pools to use. We mainly stayed by the pools and met many owners that go to the resort each year. They invite you to an optional resort update. and I suggest passing on that offer because the 90 min presentation never lasts 90 min. It's at least 3 hours or longer depending on the sales person and how much you talk. Yes, it's a sales presentation. Due to Covid-19, no food or snacks are passed to anyone, only water.
Overall, we had a lovely stay at Vistana. It was easy to get to many places and there's many restaurants to choose where to eat.
