S Hotel Jamaica offers a modern take on Jamaican hospitality. With an all-inclusive concept, the hotel is now offering a seamless vacation experience, yet with a boutique-style atmosphere. S Hotel’s prime location on famed Doctor’s Cave Beach and close proximity to Sangster International Airport, serves as a stylish basecamp to explore the area’s shops, restaurants and entertainment. The inspiration for the contemporary S Hotel is as cosmopolitan as it comes, but the feeling is notably Jamaican as the hotel welcomes guests to their home away from home, balancing a cozy atmosphere with its purposeful design and sophisticated amenities. Buzzing bars, the Passa Passa-themed Club S, a high-spirited pool scene, the exclusive Sky Deck, international restaurants, a 24-hour café, a spa with therapeutic plunge pools, a gym and spacious modern guest rooms, thoughtfully combine to create a modern and effervescent sense of place.

S Hotel Jamaica stands out for its exceptional service, with staff that consistently goes the extra mile, ensuring a warm welcome and a memorable stay. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel offers easy access to the airport, beach, and local attractions, much to the delight of guests. The cleanliness of the rooms and grounds is frequently commended, as is the hotel's value, with many finding the pricing reasonable despite occasional remarks on high costs. First let me state upfront that IF the US took the same COVID safety measures as Jamaica, we’d have a lot more freedom and a lot less cases; but I digress.

S Hotel is super modern and a beautiful property. The staff was nothing more than spectacular from check in to check out.

We arrived for a quick 3-night trip and the only other open resort was charging $700+ per night. Normally this would not be a problem, but what real sense does it make to spend that kind of money when the Island is not fully open? The S Hotel did a great job making the best of the pandemic situation by having a clean, safe hotel. The poolside is amazing, staff is on stand by to sanitize the areas as soon as a guest leaves. There’s an amazing light display along the pool and cabanas. There’s a rooftop pool that over looks the main pool and the beach.

The beach, although a public beach, is very clean and there’s not a lot of intrusive, beach merchants bothering you. There’s a beach restaurant/bar, servers actually come out to your spot to bring drinks and/or food.

We reserved the ocean front room (see pictures); the couple’s shower had to rainfall shower heads, a (her) wand and a bench shower; a 6ft, full tub. Also a mini fridge and a 55” television with cable. I would have preferred a smart TV to watch my Netflix but with their cable, there was modern TV shows and news programs.

The food at the hotel was less than stellar, even though the staff was all five stars! Due to the pandemic, the lunch//dinner menu was very limited and the portions were small. It seems like the focus was on presentation not hunger fulfillment (my phrase). Luckily, we found a take out restaurant off site that served good, native dishes.

Overall, I give the S Hotel the highest ratings for: price, amenities, facilities, staff professionalism and safety.. This will not be my last trip to Mo’Bay or the S Hotel

This was a Fantastic Jamaican experience, we had a wonderful business vacation trip in Jamaica. Our hotel is located on the hip strip and was very central. The front staff and restaurant attendants were very courteous. Andres’ and Amit made our stay totally comfortable.
We had an Ocean view room, large bathroom with double rain fall showers, lovely balcony. Great view of the pool. Comfortable bed.
The restaurant offered traditional Jamaican breakfast with the opportunity for continental or American style items on the menu. Of course we love our mackerel, callaloo , fried dumpling, plantains as a homesick Jamaican, I was happy.
The staff was courteous we had our temperature checked upon arriving in any new location and there was ample sanitizer for each room entering or leaving the elevators and all the other amenities. We were able to use the gym , the spa & sauna, the pool and of course there’s fabulous decor, the hotel has fantastic Jamaica art wrk and pictures and the sea water is so warm in September.
Definitely worth a return trip.

Had a girls trip in Jan 2020, we stayed at S hotel and loved it!
Our room included breakfast which was wonderful and the staff were all friendly.

There was no struggling for any pool lounge chairs and what I liked about the beach part was where ever you wanted to sit, someone brought lounge chairs to you (please tip them).

Not a lot of kids splashing away in the pool so that made it more relaxing.

I brought my snorkel and mask, you can rent a vest from lifeguard. I snorkelled right from the S hotel, huge reefs right there, especially from the grass hut and out. The reefs are deep so be careful where you swim you can almost hit them with your feet.

Rooms are spacious and clean, not much counter space in the bathroom but great rain shower!

The lobby is fantastic with the breeze blowing through and love the fire and candles at night.

The skybar and pool is amazing, especially at sunset a must, see pics! Do the beach sunset and skybar sunset another night! The sky bar at night has bright flood lights on so makes it a bit less sexy/comfortable to chill but has the TV going if you want to watch sports.

My suggestion is this:
Have a bar area for nighttime mingling downstairs by candlelight. The bar area needs to be elevated to match the hotel.
Guests can chill in the bar area outside and inside the restaurant to hear the band playing.

Other than that loved everything about this hotel!

We had a driver for the 5 of us girls, if you are looking for personal tours I highly recommend Uber Montego Bay, ask for Marland #1-876-375-3545

We stayed at the S hotel for several nights and highly recommend it! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Andres at the front desk. He was fantastic, and very helpful throughout our entire stay. We were offered welcome drinks, and upgraded to an ocean view room which included a balcony (definitely worth the upgrade). The stay included complimentary breakfast which includes a jamaican and continental variety, and dinner which had a different entree each night. At the restaurant, we were served by Sheree who was excellent. She always remembered our orders and chatted with us.

The pool chairs and daybeds were sanitized each morning and the hotel grounds were very well maintained. There are hand sanitizing stations in every corner, and temperature checks each time you enter the restaurant or the beach. We were so glad to see that they take precautions in regards to COVID-19 very seriously and felt very safe during our stay. Masks are required in the common areas and all the staff members and guests were wearing them.

We also had a chance to book a couples massage and try the thermal pools and sauna, all of which were very relaxing.

Overall, the staff and service at S Hotel was fantastic, and paid attention to every detail of our stay. We will certainly return the next time we are in Jamaica!

We stayed here for five nights and were very disappointed with our experience. As four adults, we booked two rooms - one city view and one ocean view. While the ocean view room was spacious and beautiful, the city view looked nothing like the photos and was crammed and dark. I have never seen, let alone stayed in, such a small and dingy room. We complained at the front desk and were changed to another room the next night. While we were happy to have our room changed, the hotel was not at all apologetic and never disagreed with our assertion that the room we received was not the room depicted during online booking. I do not know how many such rooms there are at the hotel, but beware of this during booking.

We also found that the service was incredibly hit or miss at the hotel. While certain members of the team went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great stay (the breakfast supervisor and the hotel taxi driver), the hotel was generally very disorganized. While this disorganization was best seen when trying to order food or drinks (waiting for crazy long periods of time to order or pay, and sometimes giving up all together on our orders after long wait times - the food was also generally pretty awful), this disorganization came up in pretty much all aspects of our stay (the towel stand running out of towels, no one at the pool knowing how much a bottle of water was supposed to cost, having the coffee shop claim that they did not sell coffee, etc....). We also had not realized that the beach is a public beach that gets very, very crowded.

In short, this hotel is not cheap (we paid $1100 a night for the two rooms) and we were somewhat scammed. Instead of spending our time relaxing, we were constantly waiting around for things and getting frustrated by the services at the hotel. We wished we had stayed elsewhere.

We had the pleasure of spending 2 fabulous nights at this hotel! As soon as we walked into the lobby, we could see we were in for a treat. We were greeted with cool drinks and the smiling face of the Front Desk Associate, Andres, who checked us in and told us all about the property. Since our visit was during the COVID-19 pandemic we were of course concerned about cleanliness and social distancing protocols. Masks were mandatory, temperature checks at restaurant and beach entrances and hand sanitizer stations were everywhere. Our room was also very clean. The views from our room were spectacular!! Not all of the restaurants were open, but we were treated to a complimentary breakfast both days as well as a complimentary dinner on our last night! All the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Lastly, I’d like to thank Andres at the front desk for finding 2 of their super cool face masks for us to take home! We will definitely be back!😊❤️

Let me start off by saying the S Hotel is in an excellent location, right in the midst of restaurants shops and the nightlife. I will recommend this to anyone who's visiting Montego Bay this is the hotel to be at. The warm family feeling you feel when you arrive at the hotel it's like you are a long last relative that's how wonderful the staff is when you walk through the door. From taking your bags right away, handing you a drink and they ask you how was your flight they made you feel right at home. The rooms are comfortable the beds are wonderful The View is exceptional our room was overlooking the pool and the beach what a beautiful sight of the sunset. The room was truly a luxurious room from the tub to the shower my 18 month old daughter thought it was a big playground. Everyone loved my daughter they treated her like the Princess she is they waiting on her hand and foot it was so amazing and everyone knew her name she stole the show. The customer service from everyone was excellent from breakfast to lunch to dinner they serve you with such a manner of elegance they truly enjoy their job. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our trip there was out of this world I have a few names I want to mention. Tyron restaurant supervisor, Roderick MOD, Russell security guard, Meldon MOD, Hebert restaurant supervisor, Romaine Pool Chef, Stacy Ann Pool Chef, Jevaughn bartender, Antonio Bell hop, Ricardo Lawrence Bell hop, Amanda server, Samantha server, Dimara server, Daema server, Shavaughn server, , Jamila Roswell server. Without this wonderful staff this hotel will just another place to stay they make this place😘🥰😍.

My friends and I decided to take a trip to Jamaica for a quick getaway. Since COVID began it had practically eliminated any form of a social life. I must say this hotel lived up to everything I saw and read. We landed hours before checkin and when we arrived Zaira and the front staff did not hesitate to make us feel so welcomed. She arranged for our bags to be held while providing us with a taste of Jamaican rum punch (a must have). She even provided us with a complimentary upgrade on our room with a lovely view of the pool and ocean front, which were breathtaking. The hotel is definitely beautiful and very clean. Staff consistently wore their masks and sanitizer was being used before entrances to public areas. This was much appreciated especially coming from America where is wasn’t always done. The hotel had access to drivers that would take to you anywhere which was a plus. We met a lovely gentleman named Romaine who was also one of the hotel drivers. He made our experience even more memorable. He was so pleasant, respectful, and patient. Whenever you’re out in Jamaica and want to have a good time, definitely reach out to him! 876-891-1591

Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the S Hotel. The only very minor complaints I may have had was the size of the fridge in my suite was too small and there are no ice or vending machines. Otherwise, my suite was beautiful. The front desk staff were friendly and professional and the concierge service was terrific! Thank you for an enjoyable vacation. My stay was November 29 - December 6, 2020 and the hotel was not very busy at all due to COVID; therefore, I had the SkyDeck to myself most days and the main pool was never full or overcrowded. Room 524 is a Junior King Suite overlooking the main pool and beach and is just a few steps to the SkyDeck...it was perfect!!

As a side note to single travellers, (which has nothing to do with the hotel itself) because tourism has taken a hit in Jamaica this past year, the local vendors are relentless (more so than usual) so every time I stepped off the hotel property I was approached, usually by males, and asked to follow them to their stores or the local market rather than the closest supermarket or the “Indian shops”. Be prepared for that. Do not accept “gifts” from anyone. They can be rather aggressive and expect money for any little thing they are offering to give you. They may even offer to help you find a local cab to take you downtown for around $1 CAD. This is a ploy, they will take you downtown but expect you to pay them for their services and may leave you at your own peril if you don’t.

We stayed for 5 days at S Hotel. Staff very friendly, hotel is modern and stylish! Location right by the beach, so you can go to beach or just stay by the pool and look at the beach. Free breakfast was great with many options! Definitely recommend ocean view as it really is worth it!! Need to mention our driver that we got from the hotel and then used to take us golfing and to many restaurants! Our driver was Aldwayne Birch- Tel/WhatsApp (876)479-3887 or (876)480-0600 and I highly recommend him for any driving needs as he was very professional, clean van and very pleasant to talk to!!!!!

The hair dryers are separated for use, stored in your room in your closet area in a dryer bag, not in the bathrooms. Robes and slippers are provided as well for use while enjoying your stay. In my case, I didn't have to use it, but it is stored in your rooms in the closet.
