The Renaissance Wind Creek Curacao Resort comes highly recommended for its prime location, with guests enjoying easy access to local attractions and downtown areas. The amenities, including an infinity pool and beach, along with varied dining options, are frequently lauded. While the hotel's cleanliness generally garners positive feedback, a handful of guests have noted occasional lapses in housekeeping. The atmosphere is described as lively and inviting, contributing to a memorable stay. The staff's exceptional service frequently receives praise, though opinions on value for money are divided, with some guests feeling the experience does not justify the cost. The service at this hotel is by far one of the best in my worldwide travels. Prior to our arrival to Curacao, Milousca G, the rooms supervisor, communicated with me to make sure the trip would be a special one. She even reached out to us via email during our stay and she made us feel welcomed. The door greeters, Miguel and Willis, were beyond amazing. I had a question about bug spray and Willis went out of his way in search of a bottle for me. He and Miguel always greeted us with water and a huge smile. They both were so friendly and made our day!

The room was perfect and they had plenty of upgrades. At night, there's a little night light from the mirror, a quote about "island time", and this helps illuminate your way to the restroom in the nighttime. The rooms were cleaned daily and each evening the maid staff, also fantastic, did a room check and left a sweet treat and water in the room. The rooms are newly remodeled and the A/C worked well. We had a nice view of the pool and a peekaboo view of the ocean. Overall, the rooms were perfect size and conveniently located across from a Starbucks and pool area.

The pool and beach area are great and the bar made nice drinks. I think in regards to food and drink, it's a little pricey. We usually went into the Rif Fort or Willemstad for food and drinks. We did not participate in the daily breakfast buffet because it was bit pricey, about $28 per person, but I'm sure it was good just like everything else in this hotel. A bar in the lobby was not available but they may have one after the remodel. Entertainment was always available in the lobby from singers to jazz musicians. We loved it.

The location is outstanding as it's walking distance to Queen Emma Bridge, Willemstad and Rif Fort. We didn't need a car but if you get a rental, they offer free parking.

This resort is currently being remodeled but I must say it is in a perfect location, fantastic rooms and the most amazing staff around. This is a Mariott Bonvoy property so you can also apply or accrue points to your stay. It's no wonder that the resort is one of the top five hotels in the Caribbean! It's a no brainer where to stay when we go to Curacao. We will be back!

As an ambassador elite with Marriott and top status everywhere else, I decided to give this a try for 3 nights out of a 10 night visit to Curacao. As far as choosing a hotel near the historic looking part of downtown, this one is the best choice. Considering the 200 nights a year I stay at hotels, I rarely write a review, but given the outstanding team service received at what normally is a 3.5/4 star class hotel they definitely deserve a solid mention for their positive attitudes, spirit to serve and help guests have a good time all the same. From the doorman, through front desk staff, thru breaktast (one of the better breakfasts on the island of limited competition) everyone just plainly had a great attitude.

Facility wise: Close to many restaurants and old town. Man-made beach more than meets the needs of anyone who just wants to chillout while staring at the ocean. Perfect for infants ant children.

For parents with very young toddlers, this is a "easy" spot to stay, close to all the amenities. If you need to snorkel, then a true open ocean resort may suit better. For urban couples, this is an easy choice.

For business people, internet is good, there are two starbucks. ATMs to draw cash is in the small casino behind the elevators.

The only thing this hotel would be inappropriate for is eco-tourists and scuba-divers etc, as this is in as urban a location as you get for Curacao.

Marriott Elites are recognized well here.

I stayed here for 5 nights and had a fantastic time.
the rooms were just updated and were up to todays standards. The salt water “pool” was great with the bar next to it.

Especially the staff and their service was fantastic! From the people at the door, the restaurant, the pool bar and house keeping. They all had a smile and delivered a great service.

They took the right covid-19 measures with masks, hand sanitizers and the breakfast service.

The location is right within the shops and a 5 min walk across the bridge to downtown Willemstad.

Various restaurants are just within walking distance.

We stayed almost 2 weeks at the newly renovated Curacao Marriott Renaissance. This was our second visit. We loved this hotel and the staff. From the moment we checked in, late at night, they made us feel so welcome. The newly renovated rooms are bright. There are a few inside rooms with no windows but always request an outside room. The lobby restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast buffet with a gracious and helpful staff. On the second floor of the hotel is a Starbucks and so is the entrance to the beach. Really beautiful and relaxing with a great beach bar and excellent food at very reasonable prices. We tried various beaches on the island but found this to be the most relaxing for us. The hotel is located just outside an old fort and inside the fort are numerous restaurants and shops. The great thing is the hotel is a short walking distance to the town and the famous floating bridge that crosses from one side of the town to the other. The hotel has a terrific New Years Eve dinner and then a party with live music on their beach and a great view of the fireworks at midnight. The hotel is also about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Petermai section of town which has become a foodie "go to". There's a lot to see and do on the island. I know this sounds like I work for the hotel or the tourist bureau, but this is exactly they way it was. Our biggest disappointment was having to return home.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at the Renaissance Wind Creek. We chose the all inclusive package and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unlimited drinks. Also, takeout was available back to the room if desired and we did choose this option for a few dinners. We tend to vacation with one beach/pool day followed by an adventure/activity day. We spent a lot of time at the saltwater infinity pool and it did not disappoint. Our room was clean, comfortable and decorated tastefully. Housekeeping was available daily if desired. The thing that impressed us the most were the staff. Every single staff person we came in contact with were nothing but helpful, kind, and accommodating. This above and beyond is what made us feel welcome, especially during a time when traveling can be perceived as controversial for some. As for Covid precautions- this hotel excelled. Staff were always wearing masks properly, even if they were outdoors running drinks up and down the beach bar. There was plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the hotel, everything was sanitized and reminders to keep distance were very visible. I do have a few suggestions: 1. There were several people smoking (cigars, hookah & cigarettes) at the beach/saltwater pool area despite signs that stated no smoking. These people then left butts in the sand for staff to tend to. I would have liked the no smoking rules enforced. 2. The pool chairs were very uncomfortable. I would recommend Marriott consider moving to cushioned loungers instead. I know they are more work, but this is a place where guests spend their entire day and should be comfortable. 3. While I understand that masking is controversial, it is the requirement for this hotel and for the country itself. We encountered several tourists not wearing masks, especially sitting in the lobby or walking from their rooms to other areas in the hotel. It does place staff at a disadvantage to remind guests but I think a statement at checkin would clear up where masks need to be worn. With all this said, none of these suggestions detracted from our overall amazing experience. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would come back. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so memorable.

Despite the ongoing renovations, the service at the hotel continued to be excellent. Sidney Solange was a friendly, caring server. He made my stay enjoyable and always greeted me with a smile at breakfast. Paola Martina Lenny made delicious smoothies and the rest of the staff were polite and friendly. During the electrical outage the island experienced in November, staff brought flashlights and the hotel maintained access to our rooms so I could enter, leave and reenter despite the blackout. This is my fourth visit to Curacao and I have always stayed at Renaissance Curacao. I highly recommend.

I visited the island on my birthday weekend solo for the first time and this was by far the best trip I’d ever been on.

The hospitality at renaissance is unmatched and I loved my experience! My room was upgraded to a beach view when the receptionist learned it was my birthday weekend and I was offered a complimentary slice of birthday cake at breakfast while the staff sang a loud happy birthday song for me.

Overall, I felt safe and the location of Renaissance was a perfect walk from the shopping strip, Punda, Queen Emma bridge and the Rif fort!

Be sure to bring lots of bathing suits and sunscreen and don’t forget to take a picture with the beautiful colorful Dutch inspired buildings as a backdrop!

And oh that infinity pool, GOLDEN!

I think I can give a pretty fair assessment of this property given that I stayed here for three weeks straight. They were in the middle of remodeling the older rooms but aside from that, it was a beautiful and well kept hotel. First and most importantly, the staff there were just great. Very helpful with anything we needed. The restaurant staff attended to me literally 3 times a day for my entire stay and they were wonderful. Piet, Karlene, Sydney, Belsa, you were all great! Second, the hotel did a great job with social distancing, wearing masks, and using hand sanitizers even though they haven't been exposed to the massive numbers of Covid positive people that we have here in the states. Third, the artificial infinity pool/lagoon is gorgeous and so nice to swim in and is very well maintained. Lastly, the hotel is in an ideal location, near shops, close to the bridge to Punda, close to the hospital, etc. I can't say enough about this hotel and I highly recommend it!

We loved the location of this hotel! Many restaurants and lots of shopping within walking distance. The hotel itself is well staffed and clean, and the rooms were large and accommodating. There was a lot of interior construction going on, but it seemed to be relegated to the afternoon hours. No noise early in the morning or after dinner hours, so no complaints here!

The elevated “beach” is man made with an infinity salt water pool that overlooks the ocean. We loved this! No waves, fish, seaweed, rocks......just an occasional crab along the wall. There were plenty of beach chairs and the wait staff was attentive and took great care of us! The food at the outside bar is delicious and served quickly.

Our only complaint was the breakfast buffet. It was located inside of the onsite Starbucks and was not worth the price. Perhaps it was due to the construction, but there was very little space for a buffet and very little to choose from - think eggs, bacon, apples, bananas and some yogurt. But again, there are a lot of restaurants in the area so you have some options.

I struggled between leaving a 3 or a 4 star review and ultimately decided on 3 stars because in the end I felt mislead by the advertising from Renaissance BY Marriott. Compare their stock photo with my actual photos. First the good: Location location location Great area to explore, shop and use as home base to drive to amazing destinations Not a party scene after hours, so quiet time to get some rest after a long day enjoying this beautiful island was not an issue. Staff were very friendly. Service was good. Lobby and restaurant cleanliness was good. They had a hard time keeping up on the hallways because the sand gets everywhere from the man made beach/pool on the second floor. You have to walk through hotel room corridors to get to the pool. This hotel is a good City like hotel. NOT a beach side resort, so having a room advertised and priced with an ocean view room instead of a partial ocean view was not acceptable to me. There is almost always a cruise ship docked right next to one of the infinity pools and while they tried to make a man made beach/pool the sand mixes and really its a small infinity pool with a sandy deck area. I did voice my concern with management and they did make it right and credit the upcharge for my stay. I would NOT pay for any room upgrades in the future.

On the other hand, we are glad to learn you enjoyed our location, the cleanliness of our resort and especially our hospitable team members. They are without a doubt our most valuable assets. Once again, thank you for your honest feedback and we hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to Curacao. Sincerely, Martesano.
