The Divi Little Bay Beach Resort garners praise for its comprehensive amenities and strategic location, offering a blend of well-maintained pools, dining variety, and proximity to local attractions, although some guests mention improvements could be made in towel availability and service speed. While the resort's atmosphere is deemed vibrant with live music and a lively bar scene, opinions on the rooms and value proposition vary, with some travelers lauding the spaciousness and views, yet others point out maintenance concerns and question the worth of the all-inclusive package.

Although I feel for all in the tourist industry and their current struggles, it was a perfect time to visit for someone like me that isn’t a fan of crowds or cruise ship ports. The lower capacity made this a true ocean holiday with lots of quiet and privacy.

Divi takes safety seriously and followed a reasonable protocol of sanitation, distancing, and masks in indoor public areas. Local grocery stores take your temperature on entry. The airport also is checking all test results and from exit/entry and taxis, the first thing they have you do is sanitize your hands.

Once you get to your room, you can relax and truly feel like you are on vacation. Divi Little Bay is a fabulous location, very private with a lovely bay and beach. Conditions ranged from bathtub-like on some days to fun wave hoppers on others. We ended up spending far more time on property than we expected thanks to the great location and snorkeling right outside our room. There is a sunken heli and submarine with floating platforms that are an easy snorkel away.

The staff is incredibly friendly and as helpful as can be. A porter even went so far as to bring us take away from a local restaurant when we sunburnt and were not feeling up to going out.

The place and grounds are very well maintained, the three pools really nice and roomy with different designs. Our favorite was the infinity pool, which has a totally natural view including pelican nests, large and small iguanas, and the open ocean. The only issue we had was that a day of cleaning was skipped when we decided to extend our stay. Although we were promised each day, we eventually ended up with just the one mid-week cleaning instead of a fresh room at the start of our new reservation.

Even though they had limited activities and openings, there was plenty for the capacity they are operating at. The happy hour drinks were generous and we ate the bbq chicken pizza twice; we rarely eat in resort properties but we loved the pizza and they brought it out to us right on the beach at evening. We saw a couple having an elegant dinner on the beach and witnessed a proposal, which was fun.

If you want a beautiful property with very friendly, efficient service, now is a great time to visit. Serena (spelling??) at the front desk was fantastic and the ladies at the Concierge Desk were a blast. We found some great restaurants as well that I’ll review separately. The two the taxi drivers were all pushing turned out not to be our favorites.

We did attend a timeshare presentation, which was the most pleasant, low-pressure one I’ve ever been to. As the salesperson stated, the property sells itself.

The French side opened while we were there, but it is still in very bad shape from Hurricane Irma and we did not return after our first day exploring. The Dutch side is very much open for business in a safe and friendly way. I highly recommend Divi Little Bay.

When the Pandemic passes and travel is once again possible, enjoy the beauty, outstanding service, and relaxation offered at Divi Little Bay. My husband and I have been traveling to St. Maarten yearly for a very long time (even shortly after Hurricane Irma). On average we stay 3 weeks. We were looking for a change of Resort and this year decided to try Divi Little Bay. We were so glad we did as we love the resort and will be returning next year and many years to come. Several employees we knew from other resorts now work there and we felt at home from day one. We stayed in a Casita (unit 31) overlooking the 3 tiered pureocean pool with a fabulous view of the ocean. The unit had a comfortable porch, open kitchen-dining-living room area, a bedroom with a king size bed, a spacious bathroom and laundry room. Our unit was steps from the beautiful beach, restaurants and main pool. My husband has knee issues and difficulty walking longer distances. The location of the Casitas (as well as units right along the beach) are perfect as we didn't need to rely on a golf cart pick-up to get around the resort. The units located along the hill have nice views but more walking is involved and would be a bit more difficult for those with mobility issues. The units on the hill have either ocean or lagoon views. A unit facing Great Bay has a rather dark view at night. Facing little bay (the ocean) in our opinion is a better view day and night. The restaurants were all great and were varied to fit what you might be in the mood for. Pureocean serves a buffet breakfast and dinner (The lobster special is outstanding), Gizmos is a beachside grill, Seabreeze and Pureocean pool and bar are great for sandwiches, salads, etc. and drinks, Pureroc serves food on a lava rock and The Shack is a great grab and go eatery (bbq, mac & cheese, etc). There is also a little cafe for coffee, ice cream, desserts, etc. There is an adult pool and a small pool next to Seabreeze Restaurant but the main three tier pool is where we spent most of our time. Because of the spacious pool area, there are plenty of lounge chairs and space to relax along with a swim up bar and great pool bar staff (James was outstanding!) Divi is close to Philipsburg for shopping, etc and overall is in a great location!

My spouse and I spent 2 weeks at the Divi Little Bay Resort. The moment we arrived at Divi we were treated like royalty. We asked to change our condo location and Casandra changed us to a different room without any questions.

We ate several meals at the resort restaurants. All the food we ordered was exceptional and the chef was more than happy to prepare it per our requests. We had 2 servers in particular that went above and beyond in services. Rosa and Gilberto always greeted us with a smile and made sure our food was just like we liked. If I were looking to hire staff, these are 2 people that we would definitely have on our team.

Tony, the DJ and Activities Director, was amazing. He interacted so well with all the guests. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and he was more than happy to play some songs we requested.

One thing that was so impressive is to see the General Manager, Anne-Marie, walking around the resort, visiting with the guests, and making sure everything was tip top! She was even out picking up trash from the grounds. That is a rare trait to find in someone of her level. It is because of Anne-Marie's leadership that the staff of Divi is so amazing.

There is a taxi service on site. Rushi was our driver. He was so friendly and eager to take us wherever we wanted to go. He was so knowledgeable about the Island and always available. We enjoyed our rides with him.

The only sad part about the resort was the lack of guests there due to the pandemic. It is so sad to see such a beautiful resort and amazing staff with so few guests. I know it will be full as soon as people are willing to travel. We are definitely planning on a second visit early next year.

Thank you to everyone at Divi! You made our trip unforgettable!

We came to the Divi Little Bay Resort on St Maarten by way of a RCI exchange. We wanted to go somewhere we had not been before and the Divi Bay resort availability came up during our time frame. We were looking for a laid back, out of the way but exotic place to visit and we were not disappointed. We were initially concerned about the resorts recovery from recent hurricane events, we were assured and can now say they have completely recovered from the damage. Most all rooms have be renovated and updated. We really enjoyed our time there! Basically Divi offered everything we need to enjoy island life right on the resort grounds. We had a studio suite with a great view of Little Bay plus a view of Big Bay and Phillipsburg out our bathroom window. The room very much met our needs which included: a very comfy king bed, mini kitchen, hot tub, excellent supply of hot water, patio deck with beautiful and secluded views, satellite TV, and speedy internet. The internet was a must as we did not have cell phone service through our carrier there but were able to use Facebook Messenger/Video for our communication with kids and grandkids. We found the food excellent both in Divi (we tried almost everything on the menu at Gizmos and at the Shack) and on the Island (however we asked for recommendations when away from the resort). We did not go on the all-inclusive plan as we wanted to explore the island and sample the local foods (French and Dutch), but we spent a fair amount of time at the resort for meals. It should be noted that the on resort restaurants include a 15% gratuity where this is not the case outside the resort. There is night life each and every night somewhere on the island but Divi offered activities, music, a band and dancing every night except Sunday. Wonderful friendly people that really enjoyed life. The beach at Divi was excellent for families with water toys and equipment, wave runners and snorkel gear for rent, however while we were there the weather was sunny but very windy (~25 mph+) each day which made snorkeling difficult. My wife commented that she like the availability of beach chairs and umbrellas as they were free for us to use during our stay there. This is not the case everywhere we have traveled. For a relaxing, laid back atmosphere with a great view and warm climate we highly recommend St Maarten and Divi Little Bay Resort. We give this a 4.8 star rating and it is now in our top 5 places we have traveled.

This was our first time to St. Martin and staying at Divi Little Bay. We enjoyed it so much we've decided to plan another visit in the future staying at Divi again. The expanse of the property is phenomenal. No need to leave the resort for exercise, just do a few laps around the property while enjoying the landscaping, and you'll have your steps in for the day, or, visit the fitness room. A very beautiful well maintained resort with exceptional staff. Everyone was pleasant, professional and willing to help if you had a glitch in your plans.
Our room was very spacious, quiet and most importantly, clean! We seldom heard any noise from the outside hallway or neighboring rooms. The view from the balcony was great, watching the ships passing in the distance. The bed and bedding was comfortable...actually better than ours at home.
There are several restaurants to choose from ranging in light snacks to fine dining. Gizmo's, the beach side bar, is where we spent a few of our evenings being entertained by Jordan, (great bartender and quite amusing), and the various entertainment venues they hired. There are a few small retail shops; coffee shop, convenient store, clothing store, an activity center for kids, and a spa. A beach shop offering beach gear, snorkeling equipment, dive tours, kayaks and much more. If you have forgotten anything at home, they probably have it at one of their shops.
The parking lot is gated so no need to worry about your rental car and there are plenty of parking spaces. It is staffed and you are able to come and go at any time as often as you like. There is even a rental car agency on property.
The beach is beautiful, mostly sandy, rocky in some smaller areas, and well kept. Seaweed is raked up early each morning. There are multiple pools to choose from, (7 ?), located in different areas of the resort so you're never far from a pool. The hot tub is located in the central part of the resort with the main pools.
A concierge is located in the main lobby to help with exploring the island and tours.
We've stayed at the Divi Carina Resort and Casino on St. Croix and now Dive Little Bay and had a wonderful time at both. We have been so impressed with the Divi properties we will definitely be considering their other resorts when we travel.

Service, location of resort(close to Philipsburg) and all around great resort that offers all watersports, all inclusive as an option. Beach is great with umbrellas if needed and the water is calm. The staff is always there to help with anything you might desire. Restaurants and bars have the best food and service by the bartenders/waiters are very attentive and personable. Rooms (some with full kitchens) are very nice with views of the beach, Great Bay side, and / or water view.

This hotel is simply amazing when it comes to landscape. It’s at the bottom of the mountains next to the water. Not to mention when it’s late at night, you can see all of the homes and their bright lights. It’s such a picture perfect view. Right across the sea, you can see the Cruise ships and the town is so live with music. The location is perfect if you are trying to be away from the city but close enough to the Restaurants, clubs, boats excursions, stores/mall and hotspots. We probably didn’t have to drive more than 14 minutes at a time. The rooms are clean, spacious, and our suite was like an apartment style with two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and balcony! The beach is literally down the way. I noticed a lot of people speaking English and were American so there won’t be any troubles translating like when we were on the French side. They also offer excursions which we signed up for a boat ride with snacks and alcohol (we missed it unfortunately because of tardiness). It was like $90 with tax for the both of us. They also have onsite small souvenirs shops, gym, convenience store, bar/food stands and COVID testing. Parking is also included! I can complain about Is that housekeeping never checked on us or cleaned our room. I like how they had a guard at the entrance to let you in which lets me know it’s secure.Depending on your room, you might have to climb a lot of stairs and walk a distance from the lobby so we had the bellman drive us in a golf cart to our room and bring up the luggage (and my hubby). Honestly I wasn’t a fan of the food. The buffet which I thought was complementary still gets charged to your room which is $22. I’m sure the other meals are charged as well so I didn’t try it outside of breakfast. The French toast was soggy and not well done. They had literally two servers to feed a host of people that were in line. It was frustrating to not be able to serve your own food but I understand that it’s Covid protocol. We also had something to eat at the small restaurant (I forgot what it’s called) the service was excruciatingly long. We ordered the complementary rum punch and some other drinks which came out pretty fast, but the food took an hour which put us behind time for our snorkeling event. At the end, the food wasn’t even that good to me. I had the quesadilla and my husband had a burger.

Our first time at Divi Little Bay, but certainly not the last time. We usually stay on the other side of the island but we enjoyed a great special at Llittle Bay as our regular Resort is still closed from damages from hurricane Irma. Our check in went fast, they make sure every one keeps at a distance and the Front Desk agents wipe the desk after every check in. Thank you Eline for giving us a fantastic room. The view of the harbor and the cruisehips was spectacular. Only two restaurants were open but the food was good. The cafe is open for breakfast and pastries in the morning. Very convenient. The employees went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Special thanks to Wendy & Eddy for making us feel at home. Management is very visible and making sure everyone adheres to the new covid guidelines. We will certainly consider Divi Little Bay as our vacation spot in the future.

If its peace and tranquility you're looking for.... sadly this isn't it. Whilst the rooms (studio for us) are reasonably well appointed, the walls are made of paper, so when the guests next door bang their TV on full volume at 6am every morning, you are awake. You are also still awake at midnight when the TV is still on full blast. You may also have Pickfords (a furniture removal company) in the room above, who insist on dragging furniture from one end of the room to the other, and back again....at 2am?? Also be aware that ocean front does not always mean ocean view, if you happen to get a room in D building (324-327) I have attached pics of your view. There are some lovely, genuine people but I found some to be a bit false. Phillipsburg might well be only 20 mins walk away but dont bother if there are no cruise ships in, hardly anywhere is open! The whole resort is really geared up toward the rich American tourist, but they are the ones in abundance so.......not much choice at the resort for food choices, but highly recommend Gingerbread Cafe ( though technically not part of Divi) where you will get a warm welcome and reasonably priced good food. Food in Pure Ocean also excellent but expensive, also bear in mind the additional 15% service charge which the brochure says 'might be charged to larger parties' there are 2 of us but still the charge was added - everywhere, every time. If you are brave you could hire a car but the driving discipline here is terrifying, there don't appear to be any rules, frankly we were pleased to hand the car back after 4 days, it was too much responsibility! Some beautiful views, glorious sunshine, but rain every day at some point, although most showers although heavy, were shortlived and most of us just stand under the umbrella until its passed, then get back to the serious task of basking! Overall had a nice time, but it's rather too busy and noisy for us, live entertainment on every night, which I know some enjoy, but its peace and quiet and tranquility we crave, both having stressful jobs, so we will keep searching for that, but unlikely to come back here.

We love St. Maarten that's why it's our happy place the people on the island is so friendly. In 2016 we stayed at Divi fell in love with it so we became owners. The people that work there or very friendly grounds staff, maids and Tony and Pierre our two first class employees always making you fell welcome there. The food is always been good at all the restaurants. A few things we do not understand is since we became Platinum members 3 years ago when we come to Little bay there is no VIP check-in, In-room arrival gift, or Upgraded bathroom amenities which is part of club loyalty benefits for Platinum members we talked with a few other Platinum this year hat had the same problem not sure way. What is the deal with just two wash rags you have four towels, two hand towels, and two wash rags it gets a little old running a maid down every day to get two more wash rags.

Truly no need to rent a car unless you truly want to tour on your own. So many good places to eat just in town & along the water front. Little Divi has a large breakfast & good food all day. The local waterfront area has fresh seafood all day.

Can you walk into town?

You can walk, but it is not a relaxing experience. In fact, the activities team leads a walk in to town on one or two mornings each week. But it will be a hot and sweaty experience as there is almost no shade. There is a sidewalk but it is barely one person wide.

I completely disagree that all inclusive is the way to go. That would assume you are not going to get to try all the other fabulous restaurants around the island. I can assure you that the food at Divi is barely mediocre. You are in the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean. Why would you eat the food at the resort with so many otherFABULOUS restaurants. My husband and I own at Divi and we love the resort. The food? Not at all. In our stay in December, we ate at the resort once. Once was enough. I don't believe there is beach service any longer.

Do you have access to both Divi properties?

As above (or below) Oceans is part of the Divi Little Bay Resort, and everything is shared. Oceans is the newest part of the resort. It sits up on the hillside, great views and a new upscale restaurant/bar on the top floor. The downside of it is, it is further away from the pools/area, other property restaurant and the beaches. Your walk is a bit longer but very doable.
