Galaxy S22 Ultra battery

Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra are both smart-designed devices that are exceptionally well crafted. Samsung has put a lot of effort into its software and we can see that in the new updates. However, one of the things that you have noticed if you have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, you might feel that the battery is draining fast. One of the reasons why this might happen is because you might be using your phone to charge. Moreover, you might be using an incompatible charger that might be draining your battery fast.

The device itself is an excellent craft we can figure some workarounds to fix the battery draining problem on the Samsung S22. In this article, we have listed some of the things you can do to fix this problem. Let’s check them here:

Practical Ways To Fix Fast Draining Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Battery:

  1. Using Device When On Charging:

This is a common habit to use your phone on charging. Unfortunately, this habit directly affects the battery health of your phone. When you use your phone on charging, the battery charges slower than the normal rate. While the charger is still plugged-in, it can cause your battery to heat. We suggest that you neglect such a habit to prevent any further damage to your battery.

  1. Disable Always-On Display

This goes without saying that if you keep your phone’s display always on, it will consume your battery. Although the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a Dynamic AMOLED display, it still uses a percentage of your battery to display diodes and light up the screen.

  1. Check Battery Usage:

We often do not realize that unclosed applications are running in the background. Whether we use those applications or not they consume our battery. The best way to analyze the application that is to drain a huge amount of your phone’s battery. In your android smartphone, there is a simple way to restrict such applications. Here are some simple steps that you can follow:

  • Navigate to settings
  • Select Battery
  • Tap Battery usage options
  • Select show full device usage
  1. Turn On Auto-Brightness Feature:

Another great practice is to turn on the auto-brightness feature. There are times when you are in the low light setting where you do not need high brightness but your phone does not change its settings accordingly. This is also the main reason why your Samsung S22 Ultra battery might be draining faster. To prevent this loss of battery, we recommend you enable the auto-brightness feature on your phone.

  1. Disable Unused Notification

We all know how distracting and annoying notifications can get, but we never think about disabling them. There is no doubt that some of the applications are useful and helpful in making your device run at an optimal speed. However, each notification you get is part of your battery percentage. There are many useful notifications that you can disable and save your phone’s battery. We suggest that you prevent such types of applications from sending notifications. Here is how you can do it:

  • Open settings
  • Select Apps
  • Now uncheck the apps with unnecessary notifications
  1. Disable Unused features:

There are many features in a smartphone that remain unused throughout. These include features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. When these features keep running, they consume your battery life. Newer versions of these features are usually more optimized as their operating system control battery drain, controls app usage, and optimizes other things to draw less battery. Most of the background apps also run on these features, which means disabling them will certainly prevent battery drainage.

  1. Update Apps & Software:

As mentioned above, the newer updates have most of these battery issues fixed. Keeping your phone up-to-date will ensure that none of the previous versions affect the performance of your phone. Outdated software can cause a lot of damage to your phone like a draining battery, slower processor, and many other issues. Therefore, we recommend looking for updates in your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. If outdated, simply update them as soon as possible.

  1. Power Saving Mode:

Another effective battery-saving way designed by Samsung itself is to enable its power-saving mode. When you are in power-saving mode, you do not have to worry about most of the above-mentioned concerns. Simply turning on the power-saving mode will completely restrict unused features and apps. Here is how you can turn on the power-saving mode in Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Select Battery and device care > Battery
  • Tap on the power-saving mode switch and turn it on
  1. Turn Off 5G when not in use:

It is great to have the new and updated 5G internet connectivity. However, the downside is that it demands a heavy battery. The fact is that we might not always need 5G connectivity. If you are in a surrounding where there is a Wi-Fi connection available, try switching to a Wi-Fi connection.

The previous versions of mobile data drained battery, too, but with updated connectivity and battery of Samsung Galaxy S22, we suggest you keep your 5G off when not in use.

  1. Check the device battery health:

You must keep a check on your phone’s battery health. Keeping your phone’s battery steady should be your priority. We suggest charging your device not sooner than when the battery reaches 15%. Make sure you do not use or touch it till the battery charges up.

Conclusion:

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is an excellent device for the price and features it has to offer. The fast-draining battery issue can be solved with the above-mentioned techniques. Hopefully, these fixes will help your battery last longer than usual. However, if these fixes do not work, we suggest that you get your phone’s battery checked by a professional.

  1. Why should i turn features off and disable apps to make the battery function as it should have functioned out of the box? surely this means there is a problem with either the battery management or the battery quality itself……. samsung should have addressed the issue before launching the phone. this only points to one thing – poor quality control. why should i disable my app to make it function better? samsung is clearly not concerned about the quality of their products any more. i have a samsung s10+ which is now 4 years old, and has seen daily use up to march 2022 when i got my s22 ultra. currently, it has better battery life, after 4 years of use, than my new s22 ultra….. my s0+ still runs for 18hrs per day before i need to feed it go juice. with my s22 ultra, i’m lucky if i manage 10hrs. i have been a staunch supporter of the galaxy s-series since it came out, BUT i guess this is the last samsung phone i’ll be getting if they dont fix this battery issue soon. shame on you samsung!!

    • I wish I’d have read this article or ones like it before I got mine. Or seen comments like your,s maybe? I’d have bought a different phone or another note 10+ 5g and I had LOVED *!

    • I had an iPhone 13 plus, for a few days, it was worse. I went back to Samsung, the galaxy s22 ultra and it’s so much better. A lot of power issues are eleviated with power saving mode, just one touch. The ph
ones today are so powerful I never notice. Sometimes, if I’m driving and using navigation I turn it off because it can effect. Google assistant. Mostly, I still forgot and didn’t notice.

    • For real , I just bought my samsung galaxy s22 ultra and the battery doestn last long. I used every instruction and Im going crazy. My xiaomi note 8 pro that I had for 4 years has a better long lasting battery after 4 years.

  2. Shame on Samsong for talking so highly about the S22… the battery drains super fast and the battery saver is on.. I’ve never had a ph drain this fast before.. I won’t ever tell anyone to get this ph.. Shame Shame on Samsong… poor Quality

    • It’s actually great quality. Unlike iPhone you can actually see your screen during the day
S22 ultra has a much brighter screen. Much better in day as well it has a dim setting for night.

    • I agree with Jacques. It’s wild that you can’t effectively use this phone without disabling pretty much everything. For me, if the battery falls below 50% it drops internet connection, lags, and some apps crash. When I go to charge the battery all those issues stop happening.

My wife has an old IPhone 6. Battery isn’t as good as it was back in the day, but it doesn’t drain nearly as fast as my Samsung Galaxy S22. My phone isn’t anywhere close to a year old, but the battery life is much shorter than a heavily loved IPhone 6. There aren’t any words to describe how frustrating that is given the Galaxy S22 was EXPENSIVE.

  3. Samsung are the biggest disappointment to the tech industry right now, if they choose not to fix their issues then I choose not to buy from them or buy their products until they learn to manage their tech before releasing it to the public and causing unnecessary issues for people like me who want a phone to function properly and not for it to function like it’s cheap garbage

  4. how shameful standing there telling people that the newest phone Samsung has produced is great IF you don’t use it like you use say my Galaxy S8 which doesn’t need me to do any of the garbage listed above to work great without draining the battery before end of day. Turn off the main selling point of the phone? the 5G? are you serious? Samsung you Effed up if that is your statement? If you need to tell people they need to not use the phone or it will drain the battery faster than it should then the issue is you screwed up: Your company is Infamous for this constant garbage battery issue. The Note caught fire etc… Samsung Senior management, Pull your heads out of your asses. You should be fired if after the note debacle you let the battery ever be an issue of any kind again in any phone. This and making sure the basic tech, you know calling, texting and connecting to the internet, are perfect should directly correlate to you keeping your job. Battery goes dead in a couple hours..your fired CEO, Can’t use your phone while you have it charging, you’re fired senior management team. And so on. How incompetent that this is still an issue. New tech we could be more lenient about. However Battery tech, Phone call tech, texting tech, internet connectivity tech, these are all well known technologies that are the foundation of a Cell phone. If you still can’t get this down pat, never fails to work…then go get a job pushing a broom, you’re not qualified for the job you have.

  5. Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra the battery really drains so fucking fast. Do something about right now. Try to resolve the battery issue through upgrading the software or the system. I am so fucking tired of the battery issue. It makes worried

  6. Very Disappointed in Samsung no Charger ,no headset .Gt S22 Very Disappointed my battery dies fast and I hardly gt any games oh Apps. People Right before Launching Phones url shud have checked it an no Damn Memory Card 😡.I wish I neva Bought dis Phone 😔

  7. I had a Samsung s10 for over 5 years, never an issue with battery. I bet it went dead like 3 times in that 5 years. only had this crappy samsung s22 for 5 months and it has gone dead like 7 times. and yes i use the recommended charger. have to carry it in my purse. totally useless phone in an emergency setting. i tell everyone not to get it. i am considering turning it in for something else.

  8. Battery Disappoints. 3-5 hours max screen time. Called tech support twice already who say “this is normal.” Considering the phone heats to 110 degrees F. it is the Snapdragon 8 series 1st generation processor. Still within the return period so I’m wondering if the other features and the 45 watt charging make up for it.

  9. Same here,
I’m very disappointed about the quality of the battery life of this phone, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. It’s just terrible, I can use the phone for a day only changing it continuously, otherwise after few hours will be completely exhausted.

  10. just bought ultra 22 but the battery draining super fast even most of the apps not in use. 5000mh battery capacity just a number but not in actual.

  11. samsung ultra camera not working. its only zoom 4.x and camera result is not good. not available (option) bar in camera screen.
