We loved this hotel! After a busy couple of weeks traveling, we made the spontaneous decision to have a night of relaxation, and based on the reviews, we tentatively booked this hotel. We’re so glad we did. Everything was just as we had hoped. The pool area was lovely - the pool temperature was perfect and the whole area felt calming and luxurious. The lounge was fantastic, great food, welcoming staff, really well stocked. The location was practical in terms of catching the bus immediately outside to the deer park and shrine. What deserves particular mention here is the staff, who were so attentive, gracious and helpful. I wish we could remember all of their names but we were very grateful to Sunar whose attention to detail made a big difference to the quality of our stay. Also the delightful American intern from Florida on the breakfast service. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The JW Marriot is an extremely beautiful and sophisticated hotel with an exquisite staff. This past October I stayed there with my family and husband for three nights. During the same trip I also hosted my wedding reception in the hotel ballroom after my ceremony at a nearby temple. I can speak to the JW marriot as an accommodation and as a wedding venue and I can say they exceeded expectations in every way possible!
The JW marriot staff worked tirelessly with my wedding planner to throw an elegant and seamless event for 60 guests in their ballroom. Mami, the event planner for the hotel, started planning our wedding a year ago and executed every detail seamlessly from the rehearsal dinner through to the private car they arranged when we left. She was always available to help us with any question either in the hotel or via message for the past 12 months. Our wedding guests also stayed at the hotel and were in awe at how beautiful and new the space was. The decor and relaxing vibe of the hotel is beautiful. I appreciated their efficiency and attention to detail.
While at the hotel, Chris the GM and rest of the staff left no stone unturned - we got a facial at the spa and the staff decorated the room for us, every morning at breakfast they gave complimentary champagne, and even provided champagne, desserts, and sake to our room when we arrived. Even after we left the JW marriot team packed up all of our wedding gifts and shipped them to our Tokyo hotel for us so we would not have to worry about carrying them through the rest of our trip. They truly made us feel so special and we are so grateful for our time there.
We will definitely be back at JW every time we visit Japan.

since pre arrival until arrival to check in and arrived at my big suite room I feel be pampered and emotional connection with the staffs involve. Received personal welcome letter from General Manager Chris Clark with his hand writing and with luxury welcome amenities i feel personalise. The hard product is excellent. Service didn’t miss a bit. Everyone was very professional and helpful. The spa experience was relaxing. I tried also teppanyaki dinner- it was delicious, but the best place to hangout is the lounge bar area. The bartender makes several signature drinks. I’ve tried the flying stag? It’s a must order. The main inconvenience of this hotel is the location; you can’t walk from train station. However, the hotel provides a free shuttle service that runs every half hours to/from both stations Taking a taxi is also an option, very reasonable.

My recent stay at JW Marriott Nara was a truly memorable experience. The hotel had a stylish and modern design, with comfortable and spacious rooms that were beautifully appointed. The staff were all super nice and friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable.
Although the hotel was not particularly conveniently located, the free shuttle bus to the station every 30 minutes made it easy to get around. The hotel's restaurant, Azekura, was a true highlight of my stay. Chef Wang's teppanyaki experience was an absolute delight, with delicious food and showmanship that made for an unforgettable meal.
The hotel's public spaces were well-maintained and offered a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation. The lobby was spacious and offered a welcoming first impression, while the fitness center provided plenty of equipment for a great workout.
Overall, I highly recommend JW Marriott Nara to anyone looking for a stylish and modern hotel with exceptional service and a delicious teppanyaki experience at Azekura. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hotel is modern, stylish, clean, it opened less than a year ago. Restaurant, bar, gym, spa, pool, very easy to find your way in the hotel.
The highlight is definitely the entire Marriott team. They have been fantastic during my stay. Personalized offer, small attentions, always the right words. Clearly, they have been well trained and they are genuinely behaving with kindness.

Mika; she took us to our room, great knowledge of the hotel, what to do around, explaining everything in details, fluent in English.

Hotel is nice and clean, staff are all friendly and helpful. They are very professional and excellent service. The location of the hotel is a bit far from sightseeing places but there is a rental bicycles available. Also 100 yen bus is quite convenient since it runs around city. ホテルは新しく綺麗でスタッフも皆フレンドリーで親切です。サービスもとても良く快適に過ごせました。ホテルのロケーションは中心地から少し離れていますがレンタルの自転車を借りる事もできるし街を走っているぐるっとバスを利用すれば移動も楽でした。

We have visited JW Nara few times and it is just always at the best and never betrays us with high standards. This time we have stayed celebrating my wife’s birthday and the crew / hotel just made it extra special. The hospitality is always at the top sensible level and the location is truly great doing activities at Nara park or arcade around the station. Due to the season, Sakura was also beautiful too. We find JW Nara as top luxury, providing best “at home+luxury environment”. Very foreign friendly and I highly recommend if anyone visits Kansai staying in Nara and moreover at JW with more beauty and less crowd than other region. Good and easy access to Kyoto and Osaka. Will for sure be our best hotel for “true luxury”. So fun to also cycle around using rental bike at the hotel.
Spa treatment was also great that we were able to have a session as a couple.
We have tried Sushi restaurant this time and it was delicious especially with luxury selection of whiskey and wine to go with.
We’re so excited to be back very soon.
