- Yvette J2 contributionsMinato Mirai 21 shines! Great for exploring on foot, it offers something for everyone - shopping, stunning harbor views, and even a cable car ride!Written May 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David_never_DavePortland, OR55 contributionsEven on a cloudy and windy day, this is a beautiful and interesting place. If you can get a guided tour from one of the gardeners, do so. You'll learn a lot about the garden as it is today and its history. We had only a couple of hours but I could see spending much of a day here.Written May 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James G3 contributionsA quick train ride from our hotel. Was worth the trip. This place had a lot of personality. Being from the USA, it was fun visiting a "Chinatown" in a different country.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VayuNatal, RN64 contributionsIt has a wide enough space to do picnic without having people too close to each other, and the view is nice as well.Written July 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cl1811United Kingdom302 contributionsIf you're in Tokyo it's definitely worth the effort to get here. Take the train to Eda (Kanagawa) and then the 301 bus to Eda minami. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Capybara Land from there. Your admission fee includes a bit of food for feeding the capys. There's an option to buy their favourite sugar cane, but they're only allowed so much per day, so unless you arrive close to opening time you'll not get to feed them sugarcane. The temperature indoors is quite warm and humid. Check ahead for opening times; they may close for a while in the spring when some new animals arrive.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rmartinmitchBoston, MA609 contributionsWe had a chance to visit the Red Brick Warehouse during our recent trip to Yokohama. This is a very pleasant area near the waterfront. There were many small shops and restaurants both in the warehouse and in the surrounding area. We visited on a weekend and the area was full of positive energy - happy folks, families, and people walking their pets.
There were also many, many food trucks offering lots of wonderful food. We weren't sure if this was a special occasion or if they are present every weekend.
A nice place to visit if you are in the Yokohama area.Written November 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And it closes at 4:30 pm !!! Why didn't I research this ?
Anyway, I power walked for 60 minutes between animals.
The grounds were beautiful.Written February 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Its farily easy to get here but some walking is necessary if arriving by monorail. The park itself is free of charge so you only pay if wanting to enter any attraction. I went fot the 4 aquarium ticket which give access to the main aquariam + 3 other smaller places. The main aquarium is medium sized witha few nice tanks and the main atracctions are the dolhpin, ice bear and penguins. They also do live shows that are worth seeing if you have ticket for the aquarium. Note you can go in and out as you wish as long as you keep your ticket. The top of the aquarium have som enclosures with diffrent small animals and bird. Its actually possible to enter one of the enclosures and be amongst the flamingos, ducks and capybara as long as you do not fdeed or touch the animals. I actually had a flamingo who decided to go between my legs so they are used to humans.
The other aquriums was very small where one is just a place where you can feed fish. If you pay extra you can also fish yourself.
There are also a few rides but most are for children.
The area also got some good restauarants and one of them allows you to grill the fish you caught or just simply buy stuff and have bbq.
This isnt a big park like USJ or Tokyo Disney but still worth the visit if you got time.Written June 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a really big shopping center inside, and one of the best customer services I had ever seen from the shopping staff: One staff lady there did her best to help me find exotic fish slippers until we found out that the store was closed and it only sells in summer in Japan anyway. They got an observatory as well if you want to pay for it.Written July 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
