What travelers are saying
- Your Travel Buddy SGSingapore, Singapore13,069 contributionsA visit to Guangzhou is not complete without visiting this tower. It somehow feels like an icon of the city. You would need to see the tower from huacheng instead of going straight to the bottom of the tower. From afar, it looked majestic overlooking the Pearl river. The tower lights up at night which makes it even more outstanding.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ace TanSingapore, Singapore23 contributionsIt was a very fun experience for our son (3 yrs old).
Very up close and personal with the animals. Enjoyed watching the pandas. Cutest ever alive.
Have some “fake” dinosaurs during the walk which my son enjoyed, since he is a fan of dinosaurs. So it a great combo for him.
Walks were very cooling since it is during winter season.
The only thing I have to comment for a dislike is the tram ride. The exhaust smokes kept coming to us. China is going into EV, perhaps safari can consider changing to EV for their tram ride.Written December 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are still people living here which makes the experience an interesting one. Walk further down and we can see pearl river again. There was a lot of Chinese playing musical instruments there when we visited. Not forgetting some cafes scattered around the region and we visited Starbucks, which was located inside a historical building as well. A number of great spots to take some really nice pictures.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Such a unique and wonderful experience. Spent it with my Dad and his friend and his family.

Awesome cable car ride with stunning views, we could have walked!, then a further 2.5 kilometre walk up to the Moxing Summit, the highest peak!
At Moxing Summit peak, sign pointing to the direction of and distance of 1,900 kilometres to Beijing

From our hotel at Qiaoguang road, we walked here within 15mins of leisurely paced walk.
The cathedral was nice, aka the Notre Dame of Guangzhou (similarly to that in Ho Chi Minh City) with the same architectural style. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, the Cathedral was closed to the public for some private events and so we could not stand outside to take photos and read the intro from the information plagues.
And along the section of the cathedral was small square with 2 rows of shophouses and cafes and right next was a long stretch of shophouses selling dried foods, toys and stationery which was very crowded, noisy and full of vibes but within the cathedral area, it was quiet and peaceful, what a contrast, all within 100-120m of distance!Written December 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The place showcased the history of guangdong and showed why the city was named the city of wells in the past. Insightful and educational. All the exhibits’ explanation was in Chinese and i thought that’s not really tourists friendly. But I saw some Caucasians using the headsets for the explanation.
Quite a big area and apparently, the entire place is still work-in-progress. Entry is free just that foreigners will need to register at the counter with their passports.Written April 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A good way of enjoying the river is by going on a night cruise and seeing the views when the city is lit in bright and flashing colors.Written March 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Your Travel Buddy SGSingapore, Singapore13,069 contributionsA large and open park situated right in the middles of skyscraper.
